At 35-40 and 55-65 mph, the car slips/ pulls back. I took it to the dealer, my rep said it is a known issue and GMC issued a bulletin but will not recall it because it's too expensive. There are thousands of reports online. Please investigate.

The torque converter went bad within 5 years and had to be replaced due to the engine shutting off when stopped and shuttering when accelerating. The repairs cost me $1500
My GMC Acadia has been experiencing transmission problems. It has been jerking and it has been failing to accelerate properly. The check engine light is not on and the mechanic says he can not find a problem with the vehicle.
These symptoms started over 2 years ago and is very intermittent. Driving on the highway, the vehicle suddenly loses power, unable to accelerate and the transmission will not shift out of high gear. The decrease in speed is significant enough that on now 3 occasions the vehicle has almost nearly been rear-ended. Additionally, on the instrument panel the following indicators and messages occur: - "check engine light" - "traction control off" - "engine power is reduced" - "service traction control" - "service stabilitrak" additional symptoms: - loss of power steering - loss of power brakes once vehicle is turned off and sits for a few minutes. Dash is cracked in several places. Main concern is around airbags. I have used windshield cover to protect from an damage since it was new.

The vehicle was taken to crews Chevrolet located at 8199 rivers ave, north charleston, sc 29406, to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the air bag wiring harness was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 150,000.
My service air bag light is on. The dealership says it’s a sensor for which I will be responsible for replacing out of pocket. They stated my air bags will not deploy properly. As the faulty sensor is a manufacturing flaw why is GMC not responsible for the replacement?

First it started with the daytime running lights staying on hours after vehicle is shut off then it went to parking lights staying on as well and now the driver side lights are out including liscence plate lights nothing works but the headlight
Right headlight harness shorted out, needs replacement
While dropping off some kindergarteners after a playdate, I was parked in my friends driveway and left 2 children in the car with the doors closed. As I stood there with my friend next to the car, I noticed flames shooting out the front left passenger tire. We got the kids out, the car was filling with thick smoke, and turned off the ignition. We called 911 and the fire department arrived within 4 minutes and were able to put the fire out and disable the battery. Gm had the car picked up and dropped us a brand new 2014 acadia a few weeks later at no charge. We were told it was an electrical problem with the windshield wipers but I wanted to be sure this incident was reported since no one asked for a formal report. I just want to be sure this doesnt occur to any other families that may have
