Starting in july 2014 my 2013 Ram 3500 has had death wobble at least 6-7 times. Going down interstate around 65-75 MPH if the right tire hits a pot hole the front end starts to shake uncontrollably. In order to get the truck to stop I have to come down on the brakes very hard almost to a complete stop. This is very dangerous not know when it can happen and a semi truck is right behind you. *tr
I received in late october 2015 a letter from fca (Fiat Chrysler automobiles) regarding safety recall r46/NHTSA 15v-541, which states 2013 Ram 3500 trucks may have an improperly welded front suspension track bar frame bracket, which could separate while driving, causing a hazardous situation including loss of steering control. Before I went to the dealer to have this remedied, I experienced an incident while driving on the interstate, where the front end suddenly started shaking violently and I lost almost all steering control, narrowly avoiding hitting a freeway sign and eventually stopping in a ditch on the side of the shoulder. This was all recorded by a dashcam video. Upon immediate inspection under the truck, the track bar mounts were separated from the frame, welds were broken, lea
The vehicle was taken in for a front end alignment. When the technician loosened the tube retaining clamp to adjust the outer tie rod, one side of the threaded portion of the adjuster tube, socket, tie rod end (68369910ac) fell on the ground. The metal wall sheared at the start of the adjustment threads and showed signs of metal fatigue. The opposite side was fully cracked in the same location but had not sheared off the adjuster tube, socket, tie rod end yet. It took very little effort to break the piece off by hand. Failure would have been imminent if left untouched. Failure while the vehicle was in operation would have resulted in loss of control of the vehicle. The vehicle was stationary at an alignment shop. The adjuster tube, socket, tie rod end is identified as part (1) in th
Had been noticing a shimmy in the front suspension area. The steering wheel would have a very slight vibration after hitting bumps in the road when driving 35mph or greater. This issue has continued for months with several visit to dealership who has been unable to properly identify the problem. The problem has now become a "death wobble" that will shake steering wheel violently and almost shake the entire truck off the road, there have been several more attempt to address the issue with no resolve. Truck is unable to keep alignment, camber and caster is continually off/out of line, and has worn tires unevenly. Have also been experiencing intermittent electrical issues with dash lights flickering, radio lights turning off, electric windows not rolling up or down properly and reverse lights
I have been having problems with a recall issued by NHTSA. The recall was v06 drag link. When the recall wa preformed, the alignment nuts on the drag link were welded so the couldn't come loose. I've had to have my truck realigned 2 times since the drag link nuts were welded. As of right now the nuts are not welded and the integrity of the drag link is compromised. I've had it into 3 different independent repair shops and each say that welding the nuts should only be a temporary fix not a permanent fix. Since the welding, I've had steering issues with my truck which is why I've had it in the reapir shops. I feel that the drag link needs a total replacement and not a bandaid fix. I've contacted fca 2 times and have a case number, #[xxx]. The calls made were on oct. 10 & oct 24. I've also c

Steering cupling under dash has slack making steering loose and alternator problems truck only has 113609 miles Chrysler corp says it's not a problem and more recalls are showing on it driving on open road constantly working steering wheel to keep in straight line on the road city driving is as bad sitting still it has about half inch or more loose play in steering
I was wanting to know why the Ram 2013 and the 2014 are not on the buy back program. Due to manufacture recall r46, NHTSA recall 15v-541? I took my truck in to have all the other recalls fixed on it but they told me they could not fix this due to there were no parts available and that we would be put on a waiting list and did not know when the fix was going to be available. So do we just keep putting our families in these vehicles and keep driving them in hopes nothing happens to us?

The new Dodge Ram equipped with cummins diesel experience a dead pedal, or pedal delay when pressing the gas pedal 3/4 to full throttle. This poses a serious risk when needing to get out of the way, or move the vehicle under emergency circumstances. This happens under all conditions: stopped, rolling, under acceleration etc. If you push the pedal too far the truck will not respond to operator commands and will take 1.5-2 seconds to start picking up speed. This is a seriously dangerous situation and someone is going to get killed or seriously injured. There is not excuse for a vehicle not responding to driver input. Manufacture claims "turbo lag", this is simply not true. You can build turbo boost, monitored on the vehicle gauge, then press the pedal to the floor, the truck will not
Tl* the contact owns a 2013 Dodge Ram 3500. While driving various speeds, the passenger side low beam and high beam head lamps failed to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the passenger side headlight assembly was replaced, but the failure recurred. The contact mentioned that the driver and passenger side low beam and high beam head lamps failed to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to the dealer again where it was diagnosed that wiring harness failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Our Ram 3500 seems to have a wire chafing problem. On 26 june 2014 the truck locked in 4th gear. ECM was replaced in fairbanks at 16490 miles. On 18 july 2014 the same thing happened at 18481 miles, the dealer in soldotna ak found a chafed wire in the wiring loom. On 29 july 2014, the truck completely died, the ECM fuse was blown. The PCM was replaced. On 26 july 2015, the truck completely died again, ECM fuse was blown. Mileage was 31421. Prestige Dodge in longmont co replaced the ECM and then on the test drive the truck locked into 4th gear. They then replaced a portion of the wiring harness to correct a chafed wire. I was recently notified about another wire chafing problem with the airbags. I must wonder if somehow there is a wiring loom problem with this model truck. In all

Driving at 70 MPH it a hole in road had the death wopple bad had to slow way down to get it to stop.
When driving down the road at 75 MPH and you start climbing a hill or going down a hill the vehicle will start to shake and vibrate as if something is not aligned, I have have my trucks tires balanced rotated and all aligned and the problem still occurs. I took it when and described it to the dealer and they told me it must have been something to do with the service light on. They fixed the service light but the shaking when climbing up a hill or going down a hill is still there.

I was on pa turnpike attemping to merge from a service plaza, when an opening in traffic was available I applied power to merge into line . As I did this my truck did not respond !! I was pulling a 36' fifth wheel trailer at the time and my merge into traffic became very perilious! After what seemed like a very long delay ( and some braking by other motorists ) my vehicle finally started to accelerate. Once the motor responded I had plenty of power to achive speed with traffic . I have told dealer about dead pedal and was told " never heard of it " this has happened to me more that once! *js

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 Ram 3500. While accelerating from a stop, the accelerator pedal traveled to the floorboard independently and the service throttle warning indicator illuminated. The driver managed to depress the brake pedal to stop the vehicle approximately one mile later. While the vehicle was idling, the driver waited for the failure codes to clear before driving home. The contact called diehl Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of salem (located at 400 legacy ln, salem, oh 44460, (330) 337-3475) and was advised to have the vehicle towed to their facility. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided case number: 57569312. The approximate failure mileage was 52,393. *dt*jb *dt*jb

When having to brake hard, the lining of the pressure line from the pump to the hydro booster comes apart and causes the brakes to not work and the power steering to act up. The plastic lining shoots into the booster causing it to fail. They don’t make a replacement line so I was forced to fabricate one. Very expensive fix.
