This has now occurred twice and has been repaired multiple times. The 1st time happened a few weeks after being purchased. I was traveling approx 45-50mph, began breaking for a yellow light when suddenly the woman in front of me stopped short of the light. To avoid hitting her I had to break firm but not slamming on the breaks. I stopped about a car length short of her and then felt an impact. I assumed I had been hit from behind by another driver but there was no car there. I pulled into a mall just ahead and looked behind the drivers seat to find the 2nd row seat, where 10 minutes before my daughter had been sitting, had collapsed forward, slid on the rails and slammed into the drivers seat. The seat was locked and unable to be moved in it's collapsed position. I suffered extrem
My 2013 Toyota sienna has a recall and a problem with the side passenger slidding door Toyota dealer ship and findlay in henderson nevada wont fix it..I called the manu9the wont fix it the want me to pay becouse the motor is not listed ..I'm scared that the door will open while driving and that it may kill my son please I need help thank you ..
1. Faulty tk airbags - I got a notice over mail about it. 2. My side door opened during driving, I then found out there is a recall for sliding power doors (electric issue) - I contacted local Toyota dealership, but they said they cannot handle it in the next 5 months as they have no parts.
I received a recall regarding the sliding doors on my Toyota needing to be repaired due to an electrical defect that could cause them to open while underway. This problem actually occurred on one occasion so I immediately contacted the dealer and brought my vehicle in for repair. Once I arrived I was told the repair could not be made as I had a bruno swing out handicapped seat installed on the passenger side for my wife. I was told the seat would have to be removed and the vehicle returned to its original condition before they would make the repair. I feel it is their defect and their problem and cannot afford to have the seat removed so they can remedy their mistake.

I have had a sliding door failure, exactly as described in notification zh4 and zh5, and safety recall 16v-858. The rear sliding door would not fully close, or would not latch, and would often re-open automatically. The door exhibited a grinding noise and would often not latch. This on a vehicle just over 3 years old with 48,880 miles on it, always garaged and never in an accident. When I the vehicle in to the dealer on june 13th, 2017, the dealer repaired the problem by replacing the upper door hinge which apparently had failed. I was charged $323.46 and was told it was not covered under my warranty. After the recall was announced, I contacted Toyota and requested reimbursement, which was denied as they said the condition my vehicle exhibited was not covered by the recall.
While stationary in driveway, passenger rear door intermittently will not open or will not close. We have noticed this after the vehicle has been turned off, and the key is no longer in the ignition. This has happened multiple times. My son will push the button from the inside of the vehicle, and attempt to use the handle on the inside of the vehicle. On multiple occasions when the door would not open, he had to use the door on the driver's side to get out. There have been other times after he has gotten in the back passenger door, but the door would not close. It takes pushing the button multiple times to get the door to close. This has happened both while the key is not in the ignition and the car is off, and after the car is started. Climate outside has varied during these episo
The sliding door was opening (via keychain button), but opened only halfway before slamming shut very quickly. It was like it thought it hit something in by the back tire, but there was nothing there. My daughter had started getting into the car, so the door slammed shut on her finger and actually latched closed with her finger stuck inside. The door hasn't worked since. This "safety feature" backfired. *tr

Takata recall. The Toyota dealership says my wife's Toyota is not subject to the airbag recall. Your website- https://www.NHTSA.gov/recall-spotlight/takata-air-bags lists the vehicle as being subject to the recall. Which is correct? Does her car have an airbag subject to recall or not? Thanks.
The passenger air bag light is sometimes off though an adult full size passenger is sitting on the seat
Takata recall my vehicle is on the airbag recall list. NHTSA recall number is 16v858. Recall status is incomplete. I've contacted my dealer a number of times for airbag replacement but was told that there's no arrangement for my vehicle's airbag recall. I understand the deadline for claiming is 27nov2017 so I'm filing this complaint and look forward to airbag replacement asap.
seatbelts 2 complaints shown
A few days ago the seat belt sensor would continue to beep and blink even after the seat belt was fastened. Then, on Friday, December 24th, 2021, a piece popped out of the seat belt latching mechanism on the driver's seat. Now it is difficult to get the seat belt to latch, and I am unsure that the latch would hold if the vehicle was in an accident that could cause serious injury to the driver. This is available to be inspected upon request. I haven't taken this to be looked at yet, but would like to know if this is something that I would have to pay for or if the manufacturer would cover the cost of this repair.
The mid row right seat belt is all the way out and the seat belt will not retract. I have tried jerking and pulling all direction but does not retract back.

Having a problem with Toyota sienna tires, every 30k, I have to change new tires for my sienna van. Tires won't last for long even though am doing a regular wheel alignment every 5000 miles and also water pump had to replaced with new water pump. It's cost us a lot. I did lot of repairs on my sienna van, I have almost spent $10,000 for repairs work and total mileage on my van is not yet reached 90k
The 2013 Toyota sienna xle was purchased new at larry h. Miller Toyota in spokane, wa. All maintenance was performed at the same dealership according to schedule, with no problems noted other than excessive tire wear. The vehicle was used for normal city and highway driving only, no gravel or off-road use. During the 25,000 miles (vehicle mileage is slightly less) checkup at the dealership, the tires were discovered to be tread-bare with metal threads visible in irregular patterns. This was not an alignment issue. The vehicle was purchased new, and all maintenance was performed according to schedule, therefore the tires are likely defective. The tires in question are bridgestone turanza el400-02 rft. There are many complaints online about this tire going tread-bare on or before 20,0

I was at a red traffic light. I pressed the brake pedal. The vehicle wouldn't stop. The engine was revving. This happened twice within a month.
I was driving my sienna van 2013 last month in october 2016 and all of the sudden, the side mirror on the passenger side just broke without any reason. I took the sienna to dealership on the same day, stating that, the mirror was defective but the dealership stated, they are not responsible. I called Toyota customer care & explained to them but they denied to replace the window for me. I drove so many Toyota in the past 10 years and this was the first incident that happened to me regarding to the side window for the Toyota.

The rear differential bearing started making a great deal of noise proportional to speed of vehicle. This is a safety problem. Part must be replaced at cost of nearly $3,000. Vehicle only has 65,000 miles and is only 2 months out of warranty. Research I have done reveals that this is a common problem with this vehicle. The dealer had the part in stock, which also suggests that this is a common problem. A recall was done for rav4. A recall should be done for the same issue for the siena.

Two Front Tires 235/55R18 100V wore down to completely unsafe condiotion and had to be replaced. Tires were on vehicle less than 8 months and had less than 10K miles on them.

When traveling around 30 to 35 MPH (well under speed limit) on dry clear roads, on left turns (often slightly downhill) suddenly the vsc and slip/trac lights up, the ABS system is activated / brakes engage. Foot is not on the brake and speeds are not excessive. I am not using run-flat tires, but that doesn't seem to make a difference for others online. I see dozens of similar complaints online about this same thing from 2001 to 2015 siennas. Two say that replacing rack & pinion fixed it; 1 says it does not. This started happening about 3 months ago, but is now happening more often. Approx 156k miles. Other fixes that have not worked: replace front speed sensors, changed all pads and rotors, and replacing the steering angle sensor. None of those worked. On person says, "most common pr
