While the vehicle is in operation in any driving condition the airbag service indicator warning light came on and stayed on. This was intermittent at first and then stayed on after a few days. Dealer will not cover this key safety component failure. This seems to be related to the last recall for airbag failure on the 2009-2013 traverse model vehicles made this year. The recall fixes the yellow wire harness connector failure by cutting it away and splicing the wires together. There are now technical bulletins out for the 2014 traverses that seem to have the same issue. *js

I was driving this vehicle and instantly all power was cut off. When I came to a stop I put the vehicle in park and tried to start only to have failed to start quite a few times. After a minute of sitting, the car started again. The car stalled a few more times after on the way home. The dash said stabilitrak needs to be serviced and the engine power was reduced. This could really cause an accident! This problem seem to happen when I was slowing down or coming to a stop.
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power. The message "Engine Power Reduced" was displayed. After waiting 20 minutes, the contact was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was diagnosed by the contact's friend, and it was determined that the clock spring had failed and needed to be replaced; however, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V614000 (Electrical System), but the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 195,000.

While driving to work, I had slowed down behind a bus and as I started to accelerate and car suddenly shuts down. The engine light, stabil trak, traction control off, reduced engine power messages come on. The car suddenly slows down leaving 1-2 minutes to get over. Once this message comes on, the car suddenly starts to shake hard all over and idles really rough. If I try to shift it into any gear, it completely shuts off. The car is inoperable and has to be towed. Mileage estimated at 35,000.
While driving at 60 MPH on my morning commute to work, I was about 15 miles into my drive when suddenly the warning lights chime and the stabil trak/reduced engine power, and traction control off warning messages come on. The car suddenly reduces power and takes about 1-2 minutes before all power goes off and car will not drive any more. Once I try to put car in any kind of gear afterwards, car shuts off and will not turn back on. This is the second time this has happened. Car had to be towed. Dealership fixed a camshaft/crankshaft sensor. Did not work.
While driving in the morning commute to work, the car warning lights suddenly chime with service stabil-trak, reduced engine power, traction control off. The car suddenly starts to slow down. I have about 1-2 minutes before the car will completely shut off. Once it completely shuts down, it starts to rough idle and the whole car shakes. If I try to shift it into any gear, it shuts down automatically. Car becomes unable to be driven and has to be towed to dealership. Typically once the repair has been made, it is about 3 days until the issue happens again. I have been left stranded on the side of the road 3 separate times now. I have missed work, been late to work, and had to ask coworkers to give me rides home when it is completely out of the way. Car only has about 36,200 miles o
I was driving about 35-45 MPH increasing speed and the engine on the car started to die, gauges all flashed and warning lights went on all over dash. The gauges all crashed to zero, as it was dying due to running out of gas but at the time it was between 1/2 a tank and 1/4 of a tank. Gave it some gas and it reengaged. Second not on a 2015 new one, I have been driving for a rental, 356 miles, driving at 75 MPH and engine completely turned off, I had to make my way coasting to the side of the road without power steering or anything turn the key off and restarted the engine and it reengaged. But this is two of the similar issue on two different traverses that don't currently have the recalls officially on them,. They are unsafe yet I have to continue to drive around with my f

I can not get any psarts avability date from GM as to when Takata replacement air bag moduals will be avail for recall #23V334 - its been nearly a year since I was notified. GM says they don't have a date- Having worked in this industry, I can tell you that Takata knows when parts will be avail - they couldn't function as a tier one supplier to the OEMs with knowing when they can supply parts. The stabilitrak service warning flashes. When this happens, it reduces the power of the engine causing the vehicle to shut down. This only happens when the car is in motion and now it won't start at all.
On december 21st coming home from work merging on to the expressway sibility traction control comes across my dashboard then reduced power comes on vehicle start losing power almost caused a serious accident trying to merge on to the expressway I have never witnessed or experience a vehicle do that this is something that needs a serious recall on before for some one dies if it ain't already happen. December 22nd 2018 stop at a four way and the stability traction control comes across the dashboard again but this time the vehicle shuts all the way off I restarted it and it read reduced power its stability traction control across the dashboard and I could not pick up any power just like last time plus I purchase the vehicle on december 1st 2018 once again this is a serious issue it doesn't ha

The engine in my 2014 Chevrolet traverse died. I had only had 53k miles on the engine. This averages to around 10k miles per year, which is below average use. I maintained the car according to the car operating manual with proper maintenance and full synthetic oil changes per schedule all at the Chevrolet dealership. Leading up to my engine dying, the engine started to make some clinking noise, but no lights came one. When the dashboard panel stated to change the oil, I went within days to a local mechanic for a full synthetic oil change. No low oil or engine lights ever came on. According to the operating manual, I have 600 miles to change oil once the "change oil" message appears. I probably drove 60 miles. After the mechanic changed the oil to full synthetic, as required, the engine die
Multiple times the car has just lost power. The dash goes crazy with lights and warnings. Chevy tells me there is nothing they can do because there isn't a code and they can't replicate the problem. Twice I have been driving and this has happened and once when I pulled into a parking spot. Now it does shift really. It revs the rpms, jerks, sputters, and puts while trying to turn or accelerate. Its so scary because its the only vehicle we have to fit us and our newborn. I hate Chevy refuses to acknowledge an issue
As I drive down the road the engine acts like its going to stall or as im taking off it jerks

Car lost power on highway due to service stabilizer message. Then the dealership informed me that my power steering was leaking and needs a 2400 repair which I see is covered by service bulletin sb-10052379-9767 but they say my VIN number isn't covered. *tr
seatbelts 1 complaint shown
The seat belt anchors on the 2nd row bench seat have injured several of my passengers, including myself and my children. I've only owned car for about 1 year a love it, except for this huge problem. The anchors are non-bendable and are just too long and rigid. When people try to sit or scoot over, they have been injured and complained to me about this problem. I don't think its an issue with the persons size, because both slim and large framed people have been injured by these anchors in my car. My son is only 120 lbs and got a huge bruise from accidentally sitting down too quickly. Just recently, we recently took a road trip and he bruised his tailbone from the anchor pressing up against him while he slept. My niece was in her car seat in the middle of 2nd row so he only had so much room.
