2014 Dodge Journey owner complaints

My reverse lights, rear wiper and plate light have all Stopped working due to severed wires in the liftgate wiring harness at the hinge area. This is a faulty design by Dodge, a safety concern and an issue that is widespread and reported on the internet.

While cleaning my vehicle in my drive way I noticed a compartment under my steering wheel showing. I then took it too a Dodge dealership for a recall that I received in the mail and I also asked about the cloth like material showing under my steering wheel. The young man notified me that it was the airbag coming out from under the steering wheel as well as a sensor/electrical problem. I am a new mom to be and having a newborn in this vehicle is unexceptionable. This vehicle is only a few years old with so many recalls. Im so disappointed

I had the Cruise Control recall done on my vehicle in 2018, but it never really fixed the issue. I wasn't aware there was only a 2 year warranty on the work done, and that would have put it in 202 when everything was pretty much closed down. I contacted Dodge and they said there was nothing they could do about it. I know another recall was R61 / NHTSA 15V-675 ABS Ground Wiring issue which got "fixed." Now, I am having an ABS, Skid Control, Brake light issue. I took my car to the shop and they are charging me $180 just to find out the issue. I received a call from the mechanic and he proceeded to tell me the parts needed are on backorder and may be available in March 2022, which will cost close to $2k to repair. I was driving home from shopping, and the trac control, and a lighting bolt light came on, and I had no acceleration power, I was nearly home, so I drove on to my house and parked it.

The ABS light came on and the skidding light came on and it said to check the AWD ivehicle was in motion on a city street and wouldn't go over 10 miles per hour.garage put testers on it said sensor was bad- we replaced it and then it happened again and the tester said it was the axle (left front). Replaced it- stopped again . Checked the wiring and the tester said it was okay but it is still stopping when I am driving it.

Earlier this year, my ABS light came on in my car. I scanned it and pulled a code indicating that that right front wheel speed sensor had gone bad. I replaced the sensor, and cleared the code. A few months later, while driving during a thunderstorm, the light came back on. I scanned my car again, and the same code came up. The next day, after the weather was clear, the light had gone back off. Now, any time it rains or gets very cold, the light comes back on.

no accident but around 3 months ago my abs lights and traction control lights came on took it to my dealership and they scanned it and said abs module internal fault and said to me well that part is on backorder, at least till jan 1 2023, went by there yesterday and they said parts still not in and it might might not never come in.... so much for safety and what good is a warranty if they wont supply parts for the used cars but still building new ones for sale

I received recall notice r61/NHTSA 15v-675 regarding my vehicle's anti-lock break system control module. The notice states that the electronic stability control system could be affected. This month I was driving with my 2 young children, stopped at a red light when my electronic control system shut down in my car unannounced, then suddenly turned itself back on. While driving on a highway going straight at 60 MPH my vehicle shuts off. We then have to stop the vehicle to restart it. This has been happening about 1x a week for about a month. There are no codes and all engine information reads fine.

Problem started with 2014 didge journey sxt going into limp mode. Code that appeared were throttle body sensor, changed that. It went into limp mode immediately after and code was throttle body, changed that. It went into limp mode immediately again. Same codes. Sent to shop they said it was the transmission, $220 for an overhaul of that. 2 to 3 weeks after, limp mode again. Same codes. Brought it to Dodge dealership and the diagnosis it saying I need a new PCM and wire harness. Those items were replaced. 2 to 3 weeks after that work. Car goes into limp mode again while on the hwy. I have had my cruise control sensor replaced multiple times within the last two years due to it not activating. After the last repair within 3 months it again stopped acting ating. This was about 8 months ago. 3 weeks ago I went to release my parking brake and heard a loud thud sound. The foot pedal would no longer catch and simply made a clicking sound. The vehicle was in a car accident. My daughter was sitting behind me. Which I was the driver and she was behind me on the left rear. My daughter had the seat belt on and so did I. My concern is why did my daughter ended up going all the way forward hitting me from behind with her knees that the next day my behind was hurting g. Loss of power steering fluid began in the fall. Then the check engine light began to come on when I would drive around a bend. Now about 2 months later the traction control randomly turns off while driving.

Appears that the gasket between the engine and transmission is leaking oil. This vehicle is only 4 years old. I still owe alot of money on this vehicle and have changed the oil on a regular basis. Now this !!!! Not right !!!!
