The truck goes into and uncontrol able wobble when you hit a bump or bumps in the road, under braking conditions, and also just driving down the road at speeds between 55 and 75 miles an hour. This wobble has occurred on the highway in dry and wet conditions. Two different mechanics have verified that there are no loose or worn parts. The vehicle has approximately 70,000 miles on it. This truck is a 2014 f350 king ranch.
I have experienced an extremely violent vibration/wobbling of the vehicle at freeway speeds on several occasions. During these times, it is very difficult to control breaking, steering the vehicle, making it nearly impossible. I felt very unsafe not only for myself, but also other vehicles around me as I was driving a heavy-duty vehicle on the freeway at a high speed with essentially no control. Although I was shaken up, I was able to regain control of the vehicle and continue on my way. There have been no reports or inspections at this time. Prior to this happening, there were no warnings or messages. This happens twice in 2 days while driving on a long trip. Both times this occurred while driving at 65-70 mph and driving over a small bump in road.
We have experienced 6 episodes of severe “death wobble” in our 2014 350 diesel between mid Sept. and Nov 21, 2022. The truck shakes violently, 4 times while driving by around 60 mph on highways and twice while going slower on other roads. We have taken it into Ford Paso Robles twice: first time they could not identify the problem. The second time they said it was a “death wobble-Ford hates it when we call it that”; they charged us over $1200 to replace front shock absorbers and insulators, rear shock absorbers and steering stabilizer. The next time we put it on the highway, we had another severe death wobble as strong if not stronger than before. We limped home on HW 101 and HW 1 (with cliffs over the ocean), took it to James Ford Half Moon Bay who reproduced and confirmed the death wob
Something within the Steering component(s) are causing the truck to violently shake during highway speeds other wise known as a “DEATH WOBBLE” and I have to pullover and come to a complete stop for the shaking to quit. I have been to the dealer after my first experience ( June 2020) and they replaced a steering stabilizer. Now 1-1/2 years later (November 2021) the shaking reoccurred. There is only 42,000 miles on the truck and all tie rod, ball joint connections etc. appear to be tight. I might also note that I was pulling a 15,000lb 5th wheel trailer which seemed to compound the problem. It crossed my mind that the trailer was going to flip prior to getting to a stop
While in motion at speeds between 45-55 MPH the vehicle front end will shake violently with out warning and creating a loss of control until the vehicle is brought to a near stop. Dealership service advises this is a common problem known as the death wobble.
13nov2020 at 10:30-h while vehicle is in motion at speeds 50-55 and higher the steering wheel shakes so violently that safe control of vehicle is lost until vehicle is completely stopped. This steering vibration problem can be found at numerous places on the internet and Ford is already aware of problem. The most likely place for the dangerous loss of steering control is when vehicle crosses over a non-parallel bridge expansion joint. This vehicle is one of multiple vehicles in the fleet with same problem. A duplicate vehicle safety complaint was already filed for VIN [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

Driving at highway speed, 65 MPH, on straight, dry road. Hit a medium sized bump and the driver side front wheel began to shake violently. Immediately slowed down to about 40 MPH at which point the shaking stopped. A few miles down the road hit another medium sized bump and the same violent shaking occurred again. The shaking is so violent that it feels like the front end is about to come off. In doing research online, this is also commonly referred to as "death wobble" and seems to occur on many Ford super duty trucks across many model years. This can cause loss of control of a heavy vehicle which may be towing a large trailer as well. A resulting accident with injuries or fatalities would seem to be a certain possibility. This seems to be a prevalent safety issue with these truck
Front suspension / even after a total rebuild of all front suspension we can not get rid of what we call a death wobble. The steering wheel and front end shake vigorously until we reduce our speed to under 35 miles an hour. This occurs when driving on the highway and you hit a dip of any sort in the road way (bridge crossing, uneven pavement ect) the dealer told me to replace 11 items which I had done in excess of $5,000 but it correct nothing.
When driving down the highway interstate 25 in colorado. Traveling approximately 75 MPH. I experienced severe vibration in the front end of the truck. Vibration would not go away until I slowed to almost a complete stop. This only happened after I hit a bump on the highway causing the front end to start vibrating and it progressively got worse. I recently had two of my tire rods changed new brakes put on the truck in my tires rotated and properly inflated. These cannot be causing the problem there must be something else happening.

Eng light came on said the truck was not going to be able to go over 50 mi. Hr then after a while it said it would only run at an idle. This is very dangerous on a interstate highway where vehicles are going 70-80 mi. Hr.
Any time I'm over 60mph and hit a bump or bridge joint the whole truck wobbles dangerously and have to hit the brakes slow down and pull off the side of the road. This has caused me to almost be in a car accident multiple times endangering me, my family, and other drivers on the road. I've taken it in multiple times to the shop and they can't figure out what the issue is. My truck is stock and has never been in an accident before. I have gotten new tires, brakes, and rotors in the process of trying to fix the death wobble and nothing has fixed the problem. I went online and have found multiple people that have experienced the same problem.
While driving at highway speeds and driving over bumps or uneven surfaces the vehicle begins to shake uncontrollably. It feels like the whole front end of the vehicle is coming apart. It makes controlling the vehicle extremely difficult. I almost hit several vehicles that were on the highway with me putting many people in danger of injury or death. This “Death Wobble” has occurred several times starting last year (2020 November). I had to wait until I could save the money to have the problem fixed. It was quite expensive and with Covid and my reduced income it took some time. When I took it to the dealership service center to have it fixed one of the technicians went on a ride along wanting to see it the Death Wobble happened. It happened very quickly once the vehicle reached 65 mph
airbags 1 complaint shown
Shortly after buying 2014 superduty f350 crew cab diesel used truck in june 2017, airbag lights started coming on and off. Was told they airbags not activate if we were in accident. Dealer who sold it to us did not offer any help, dealer near us could not locate problem since airbag lights went off and on could not locate issue, tried replacing driver side module, no luck. Months later dealer traced problem by removing steering wheel and airbag, and replacing the "sliding contact". We had to drive truck 5 months without the safety of aibags.

brakes 1 complaint shown
2014 f350 crew cab w/long bed diesel I parked on sloped driveway with snow under passenger tires. I placed in park but did not set parking brake. Walked away from vehicle and in about 5 minutes the truck rolled down driveway 12 feet. The two drivers wheels were both rolling, I'm not sure if passenger wheels rolled or slid. Why does the transmission (in park ) allow those drivers side wheels to roll? Is this normal?
