2014 Nissan Versa owner complaints

Vehicles needs jump start every time and the vehicle stop. Need transsmission repaid

Nissan versa note 2014 49000 miles on 12/31/2018, transmission is failing, car doesn't accelerate correctly, I went to Nissan a month after warrenty expired and they could not help me. Car is in motion when transmission slips. Highway and residential driving.

My 2014 Nissan versa s will not exceed 23 miles per hour. It happened first on 12/26/15 and I had it towed to a Nissan dealership. They called several hours later saying the car was fine and was unable to find a problem. Today it happened again 12/28/15 I was leaving a from a doctor appointment and once again the vehicle would not go faster than 23mph. I drove the vehicle about 3 miles into the nearest Nissan dealership and had them drive it so they could see what I meant. They did drive it and said they will give me a loaner car and would diagnose more tomorrow. This is a safety hazard for sure,.

Car started acting up about two weeks ago had the car for a year and a half now when I drive it accelerates very slowly and when I brake it makes this rumbling noise when the car is turned on as well there is a clicking sound that is very loud when I accelerate also and turn on the engine had the car checked twice by two different mechanical places and they test drove on both occasions and they said its coming from the transmission stated I should take it to Nissan to get it looked at feel it's to short of a time for the transmission to be acting up if that because the car has been maintained with oil changes and has the proper maintenance since purchased

Intermittant shudder, vibration when accelerating. Vehicle has 45,000 miles on it; this started probably at about 37,000 miles, within the last year. Bought it new fall 2013. Have mentioned it to krenzen motors in duluth, mn. They have test driven it but have not felt the shudder. Have told them about the problem at least twice when I've had the car in for oil changes. They told me the transmission warranty is 60,000 miles or 5 years, whichever comes first. I've really liked the car and have had only a few other minor problems. However, I'm beginning to feel unsure about driving the car, especially out of town. My son had a similar transmission problem with his 2010 Nissan including lack of acceleration. They traded the car right away.

When accelerating from a stop my car will shutter and almost stall. This is especially unnerving when turning left. This happens almost every time. Another issue I've had, is my car starts moving while at a stop light and my foot is fully on the brake.

I was driving on a 2 lane highway at 55 MPH and came to a four-way stop. I stopped completely and waited for crossing traffic, then pushed on the accelerator. The engine was still running but the transmission would not engage. I was able to ease the car to the side of the road, turned it off and allowed it to cool for about five minutes, then restarted it. This time, the gears engaged, but the car began to shudder before it moved forward. From reading other accounts, it appears that the transmission is failing. This vehicle is just 5 years old and has less than 100k miles on it. After that, I took back roads home, and did not bring the vehicle to a full stop until I reached my house.

The CVT failed and the engine began making a droning sound. The vehicle was undrivable once the failed transmission was detected.

Problems accelerating, losing power, sputtering stalling out, jerking when shifting gears, loud clank when putting in drive.

We bought a Nissan Versa Note 2014 in March of 2023. It currently has 74K miles. The transmission is shot. It doesn't want to shift, and revs up to high rpm's. We have had two mechanics check on it. Up to $7,000 to get fixed. The second issue is the steering. The steering gear has gone out. It makes a clicking noise when turning. This is so bad the mechanic said not to drive the car anymore. $1100 to fix. We now need to pay as much to fix the car as we owe on it.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 Nissan versa. The contact stated that there was a front end issue with the steering on the vehicle. In addition, the contact stated that the interior of the sidewalls of the tires were cut and the front end coil springs fractured. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 12,500.

Driving down the highway I found that the car would move sideways 1 and a half feet on a non windy day. When driving on the freeway and you are on concrete the car tracks 1.5 feet sideways right or left. When driving on a day when the wind is 30mph you get 3 to 4 feet drift right or left. Taking the car to Nissan for repair they found that yes it did drift and blamed it on the road and that Nissan had on fix. I do have 2 other cars which have the same size tires that do not do the change lane action that is with this car is doing. Other people said they noticed it to. There will be a time when the car next to you will get damaged due to this action .I `called Nissan headquarter they had no fix.and said it might be the tires. Nissan put the tires on the car. *tr

Takata recall possible - airbag indicator light flashes off and on often more noticeable over the last 1-2 months

I took my 2014 Nissan versa to a Nissan dealership because the air bag light came on but they want to charge me to see what's the problem. I have'nt had the vehicle that long so why should I have to pay to see what's the problem,

When accelerating from a stop, the car bounces or vibrates, then I have to take my foot off the accelerator so the gears will change,I can't afford to get this fixed so I live with it, the car has 15,340 miles on it can you help me?

I have a Nissan versa with no heat when it is cold I have bought in to the Nissan dealer 3x . This car is dangerous because does not have enough heat to keep the windows clear in slow or ice. I am told all versa have the same problem. This is dangerous and I expect this to be acted on. The picture is after driving for ten miles

Went out to start car push in clutch and car rolled out into street had brake on but did not hold and after starting motor the brakes worked ok with engine running.. Everytime I start the car if you are on a slope the car will roll and hit something. I checked threw out the day and found that when car is not running you have no brakes. You do not have any power brakes when engine stops they become hard immediately lose power assist not like other cars where you have 2 or 3 applications before brake loss. If put in a emergency and engine stopped running your brakes would not work and you will hit something causing an accident. I took it to Nissan they said they have no solution and good bye. I called Nissan headquarter and they said their tech's said it is ok and normal. *tr

The right rear stop light has been replaced 4 times and keeps burning out. Almost got hit by car because he did not see stop light on. Last time the bulb was replaced was two weeks ago. Need to replace same bulb again.
