2015 Escalade· steering
Power steering locks up whenever it decides to without warning. Its happened several times. Dealership saus nothing found wrong. We have hit curb once and tonight it happened while exiting the interstate causing me to run off the road.
Here's a youtube link for the previous complaint that I filed..... It is for the rear hatch locking mechanism with an open flame. I previously reported the rear hatch locking mechanism failure back in april may and the rear hatch was not locking and it was not actually closing…
I just received the power steering software update for the loss of power steering last week. About five or six times now the steering has been very hard and almost impossible to turn the steering wheel. It never done this before the software update

An inflator rupture may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants, resulting in serious injury or death.
Fix: Dealers will replace the front-driver air bag module, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed June 19, 2026.
