2015 Chevrolet Malibu owner complaints

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet malibu. The contact stated that the service air bag warning indicator illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to several unknown Chevrolet dealers in the texas and new mexico areas, but they were unable to officially diagnose the vehicle. The contact used a code reader and determined that the air bag control module was defective. The contact spoke with the manufacturer and was informed that he would have to pay out of pocket to have the vehicle serviced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 85,000.

Service airbag light came on with no warning. I just started my car and the display said to service airbag. Car has never been in a wreck. After some research, I found multiple people having this issue. They all turned their vehicles in to a gm dealership and almost all had a faulty air bag control module. The dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. A police report was filed. There were no injuries. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 17,440

Air bag came on all at once about a mounth ago I put in shop to fix . Shop said it was fix they reprogramed the air bag they say. One week later was back on . Took back to shop shop say need a new computer. Was" 700.00 to fix it.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet malibu. While the sun roof was open, the contact closed the driver's window and the sun roof closed without warning. Roger dean Chevrolet (101 sw pine island rd, cape coral, fl 33991, (239) 574-3326) was contacted and requested that the contact bring the vehicle in for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired; however, the failure recurred multiple times. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 15v164000 (visibility). The manufacturer informed the contact that the vehicle was out of warranty and the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 23,000. The VIN was unknown.

The vehicle was in motion on a city street and the whole radio console cut off for about 5 seconds and came back on. The engine light then popped on.it did this twice in a matter of 10 mins. This issued has happened twice sporadically 3 times but never consecutive on the same day. Both batteries were tested and they are good. Got the code p305f. Performed a check on all wires and harnesses and they were secure. The main battery was replaced with a new ac delco on february 22, 2020. My car also cut off on september 30 while it was in motion and I was switiching gears to reverse.

The back of the driver seat moves on it's own. I didn't touch the button and it just started moving forward. Faulty wiring over my seat.the car wasn't started and didn't have the key in the ignition.

While driving the vvt solenoid malfunctioned and all the oil spilled out of the car rendering the non operable. This part can not be found anywhere. I was told be the several dealships that this part has been so back order since june 2019 leaving me without a car and with a car note. Gm should offer a credit back to their customers!!

At 2:30AM car was sitting in driveway and the engine caught on fire burning the engine, front left tire etc.

Driving down I-65 south in nashville tn middle lane with no compromising road conditions of any kind, I got a warning about the stabilitrac system and then within 25-30 seconds the engine shut down completely. I was nearly rearended by numerous vehicles as this is a very busy interstate. I was finally able to restart the car -it would not go over 25 MPH and get to the shoulder. I was driving on my was to san jose on isabel ave on highway 84 and my car just shout down wiithout any warning sign it was the scariest time good thing I didnt have my kids with me. I was not able to turn on my car again and the officer had to push me to a close by shoulder becuase where the car stop there was no shoulder and it was a one way traffic so I was blocking traffic and it was in a curve so I could of get hit on the back I had to call aaa to help me tow my car now I cant even turn it on

The ABS sensor is malfunctioning. This causes the vehicle to stall out and not go over 11 miles per hour. The dealer will not repair under $1000 and similar issue was recalled on the 2014 model.

When turning off engine, multiple times had "Shift to Park" warnings and car does not shut down. Sometimes goes away after 10 - 20 seconds. Other times must restart car, place transmission back into park, open drivers' door and then turn off. Told by dealer that it is a known problem for multiple model years and vehicle models with multiple technical bulletins issued but no recall. Please review and require a recall if appropriate.

Error message came on about power steering, at that point steering malfunctioned. The result my daughters car struck guard rail on bridge causing excessive damage to front end. This occurred as vehicle was going through curve onto bridge at approximately 55 MPH. Location was on la hwy 163 south of doyline, la at lake bistineau

At 8:00 p.m. I started my car to warm up. It was 27 degrees out and when I turned my heat on, no air would blow out. The car was in park. After I let it warm up for about 15 minutes, I noticed the air would still not blow out. I shut my car off and turned it back on and the air still would not blow out. The light on the knob indicating it was on, was not lit up. All other electrical functions were working fine in my vehicle. Once I started driving for about 10 minutes, all of a sudden the air kicked on and started blowing out. And functioned fine for the rest of the drive. On 11-11-21 my check engine light came on and message came up reducing engine power and also my speed was reduced. Stability track light came on. Took to shop they repaired but a week later same exact problems occurred. Took back to shop. So far hasn’t happened again. My husband Chevy equinox all of a sudden car does the same exact thing. Every time it rains or I wash the car, water leaks into my trunk. I've been told it was due to the antenna seal and I have heard this was a common problem with these cars, but I havent seen anywhere that there has been a recall.

I have taken the car to numerous shops to get the matter fixed but no code shows up when being tested for and blown fuses. The complete right turn sing all and head lamps gouts out when I use it to turn right. Everything goes completely black as I am driving the car. Really am afraid to drive car at night. Can you tell me what could be wrong?
