2015 Chrysler 300 owner complaints

At approx. 20000 miles, the rotary knob to shift the transmission was completely frozen in place. After several attempts, and repeatedly turning car on and off, the vehicle engaged. Vehicle at the time of this incident was parked on my driveway.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 300. While driving at any speed, the vehicle slowed down, lost power, and restarted within a couple of minutes. There was no warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to riverside auto sales of marinette and menominee inc (715-735-3361, located at 4030 hall ave, marinette, wi 54143) to be diagnosed, but the technician was unable to duplicate the failure. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact back to the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 9,085.

Shifter won't operate says needs service ?

1. Rear differential failed before 100,000 miles. I was driving and I heard something metal fall in the back of the car. I pressed gas but was not able to move. After inspection and call for help, the part that fell on the ground was the rear differential. How can it just fall out while driving? I had to get it towed and repaired by a mobile mechanic. 2. The sunroof switch is faulty. Several times it has gotten stuck and won’t close. If it starts to rain, I have to pull over on the highway, cut the car off and on a few times and press the button until it closes. The sunroof will move forward like it’s going to close but doesn’t; it moves back and forth like it’s stuck on something. 3. The shifter is incredibly rough and hard. It sounds like something falling out of the car every time

The drive shaft broke and had to be replaced. This resulted in lack of stability prior to the break and mobility was comprimised after it broke. The car was repaired at Wayne's Precision and Transmission auto repair in Bumpass, Virginia on November 4th, 2022. The state of Virginia requires annual car inspections which we will have due next June. Symptoms prior to replacement of the drive shaft included clunking/knocking noises from underneath the car when the car was in motion. Modest noises first occured in August, three months prior to replacement, and proressively got worse until replacement was necessary.

I have had on several occasions about (6) different times the car locks-up and I am unable to get the car in motion in the parked mode , the message board reads (service shift selector). In the stationary position.

Drove car to town thursday 10/11/18 everything was fine get in car friday morning 10/12/18 start car warning comes up on display ecs ABS AWD disabled, I do not drive vehicle till friday 10/18/18 to take it to dealership, they charged $89 to run scan tool to find out front left wheel speed sensor is faulty would be $240 to replace sensor, which consists of 3 bolts and being plugged in, and code cleared . This is not a 3 hour job. Currently there are no wheel speed sensors available and are on indefinite back order due to an unbelievably high demand. Can not drive car safely due to the car being crippled because of a $29 sensor. Ive owned my 300c for less than a year and all of the suddden my a/c control from the drivers side only came out cold when I had it on high but on the passenger side did come out hot I dont know if this has happened to anyone else happened last month and it still doesnt work

Vehicle has duel driver and passenger climate control. Driver side will not switch to heat. I tried it will moving and while stationary.

I was driving on the highway with cruise and my car started to go limp, then started to accelerate without my foot on the gas. Then my check engine light came on and I pulled off and turned the car off and back on. It drove fine but when I went to have it checked they said it threw a code for my TCM. My coworker also drives a Chrysler 300 and had the same issue in the same week! He never got his checked out but his car stopped accelerating and then started again while on cruise. This is happening to a lot of Chryslers so I looked up recalls and it looks like the TCM was recalled in the 2016 300’s but my 2015 and his 2015 is having the same issues

The center console and both front door panels need to be replaced as the panel is pulling away from the doors and the console. Research shows that when the panels on the door requires repair, this could render side front air bags ineffective and the car can easily lose heat and allow cold air inside. Similarly, with the center console, this could cause the p/n/r/d gears to malfunction. I did contact Chrysler (case# 80922998) as was advised that my claim was declined because the 2-year warranty had been exceeded. My car is a 2015 Chrysler 300. The issue did not start until 2020. Research also revealed that many of the Chrysler 300s are experiencing this issue. The ABS light comes on every time I drive it. Sometime it feels like something is under the brake peddle. The car was in motion each time. It was never on a turn.. Was there a recall at anytime?

The contact stated that while driving at 69 MPH on the freeway, when the contact attempted to switch lanes and the vehicle spun independently, causing her to collide with another vehicle on the front driver side. On monday morning december 23rd approximately 4:15 am. On a rainy weather condition, I was driving on the 91 eastbound freeway going about 60 MPH, I was on the 3rd middle lane, near green river road, all of a sudden my steering wheel felt as if it locked on me, my car started to veer to the left and I couldn't break or release the steering wheel, I knew I had lost control at this point, bracing myself, I hit the head on the center divider, I spun out of control ended by hitting the rail on the right shoulder, full impact. My bags did not deploy, I have a chest contusion as a result of me hitting the steering wheel full force and compression fracture on my thoracic vertebra number 7 as confirmed by the ct body scan/x-ray from the er. Takata inflator I am getting an image of all four tires keeps inflating and deflating in different air size of all for tires like it has mind of its own and it acts if it has an air pump built in the front tires says left tire has 32 and right tire has 33 then all in a sudden the left tires inflats air and it becomes 34 right side stays the same 33 then back tires does the same thing it gives its own air and takes away air on the other side. Running headlights are too bright. Since the purchse of this vehicle I am constantly having other drivers flick their headlights on at me to inform me my bright lights are on, which they are not! I just had an incident last night, a driver in front of me thought I was running my bright lights on, the driver pulled off the road and got behind me with their bright lights on as a way of letting me know, this driver was approx 10 inches off of my bumper doing 50 MPH. Please offer a dimmer bulb. This issue will insue "road rage" from other drivers!

My 2015 Chrysler 300s has a dial gear shift that will not go into gear. I reside in nd and thought it was the frigid weather. The cars dial shift was stuck and ii had my two children with me in the cold -40 temp and -30 windchill. I had to walk to get help and leave my kids in vehicle. After being stuck for 4 hrs, I tried it again and the shift went into gear. It never happened again until oct 20th at 10:38 am. The weather was nice but the shift once again left my kids and I stranded after parking at a thrift store. After several tries and 1 hr the gear worked again.
