While the vehicle was parked and not in operation, the passenger-side active head restraint suddenly deployed forward on its own. There was no collision, no braking event, no external force, and no warning lamps, messages or other systems of the problem or that it was going to occur. The deployment was unexpected and presents a risk of head or neck injury, as the active head restraint is designed to move only during a rear-impact event. This appears to be a known defect, as the manufacturer previously issued Warranty Extension X88 related to unintended Active Head Restraint deployment on certain 2014–2015 Dodge Durango vehicles. A Dodge dealership refused to repair the defect, stating the warranty extension expired, and quoted over $800 for repair. The dealership did not provide a writt

I was on the highway one day and I took and exit to get home and right before I had to do a stop the headrest on the passenger side jumped out with out any crash or incident
Vehicle will not starts (even though it cranks). The problem as with previous model year Durangos is the Fuel Pump Relay (FPR) inside the Total Integrated Power Module (TIPM). On previous model year Durangos (2011-2013) they have been recalled because if the fuel pump power supply is cut when the vehicle is in motion it could cause an accident. Luckily this condition has not happened to me. Sometimes the vehicle do start and if I use it it has not turned off by itself up to now. The TIPMs were redesigned on 2014-2015 but the fuel pump relay problem carries on. Please have FCA recall these vehicles as well with the FPR inside the TIPM failing. Thank you.
The power actuator for the rear lift gate broke free of its mount causing the actuator to damage the interior of the vehicle as well as causing the rear lift gate to slam closed. Luckily there was no one under the lift gate when this malfunction occurred, but if a child were in the way of the lift gate serious injury or death could have occurred. It is unacceptable that this powerful of an actuator is relying on one single bolt as its connection. When I took this to the dealership to get fixed, they told me they could not fix it and referred me to a local body shop. I live in a small town of around 65,000, and I was the forth Dodge vehicle in the last year or so they have seen with this same issue. I have contacted Mopar who makes these vehicles, and they were not interested in repair
Check engine light is coming on for EVAP problem. I don't have a gas cap. The dealership supposedly fixed the issue, 1 week later...it's on again. Seat inside packing is no longer in place. Driving over bumps sounds like the suspension is broke.
I own a 2015 Dodge durango and the passenger seat head rest exploded out of no where, we were parked at church on 12/20/20 at approximately 11 am

Rear "Racetrack" break light filled with water and now has stopped working.
Water is filling inside the rear tracklight and taillight.
The tail light on the hatch collected water and now it burnt out
Race track lighting on rear lift gate has burned out. Lighting fixture is supposed to be sealed. Moisture was able to get into lighting fixture causing light to burn out. Neither Dodge customer service, Dodge dealership,or complete titanium plus extended warranty are willing to rectify this problem that is being experienced by many other individuals. This race track lighting fixture illuminates the rear of the vehicle and without it may result in a serious rear end collision.
Water in rear center racetrack tail light.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 Dodge durango. While the vehicle was in the park position, it began to roll away and rolled over the driver. A police report was not filed. I have expected unintended roll away on two occasions. The truck was running and put in park and as I exited the vehicle it rolled forward. The first time it hit a parked car, in a parking lot, no damage resulted. The second time was in the driveway, I manged to stop it with out incident. This durango is equipped with the electronic rotary shifter.
I read an article in usa today that the nhtsais investigating vehicle transmissions that use a rotary control. About a year ago, I pulled into the driveway, shifted into park and exited the vehicle. As I was walking down the driveway I turned around and saw my car backing up into the street and across the road where it struck a block wall. I was sure that I must have not fully turned the knob to the park position but now, having read this article I am wondering if in fact there is a defect. I had not engaged the parking brake and the vehicle was still running when the incident occurred. *tr
While my durango was in the shop for complaints of flare shifting and other shifting issues mechanic placed the durango in park and exited the vehicle leaving it running. At that time it was not in motion. It subsequently drove into his toolbox damaging the front bumper and hood. The mechanic insists he did nothing wrong and it just happened. The vehicle was in a dealership garage. There is no police report because the dealership immediately sent the vehicle to a body shop. I contacted the police and they told me if they dealership made repairs a report wouldn't be necessary. *tr

Regarding odi pe 16-014 opened 16 december 2016: one year ago (12/29/15) a neighbor alerted me via text to the fact that my vehicle was in the street outside our home. I discovered my 2015 durango had rolled backward approximately 35 feet coming to rest in the middle of the street. My first thought was that I had somehow failed to put the vehicle in "park". However, after starting the vehicle, I could see the rotary dial controlling the transmission was clearly indicated to be in the "p" position. It's worth noting that at the time of the incident, the vehicle was not running and the parking brake was not engaged. Obviously, having the vehicle roll away was no small concern. So I contacted the dealer who sold me the vehicle and was advised to take it to a dealer in my community for in
The rear LED license plate lights are corroded and need replacing. One does not work.
Rear taillight assembly has water caused by a manufacture defect of not properly sealing light assembly. Vehicle was taken to the local Dodge dealership and was told this is a common problem with light assembly. This is a saftey problem and a recall should be issued. This can cause a rear end accident which will result in injuries. The vehicle used by a law enforcement agency's across the country and can cause an injury to a law enforcement officer.
