On or about October 16th 2021. After leaving a resturant I was unable to restart my car. It just would not turn over. I called a tow truck thinking It was possibly the starter. The vehicle was towed to Kia, where it was purchased. Upon inspection they(mechanics) also thought it was the starter. Being that the car is under an extended warranty, they contacted the appropriate company for the coverage. However the starter was or isn't the problem, they now believe it's the engine. Mind you I have less than 100,000 miles. I was told I would possiblly incounter a cost of 900.00 for them to determine what's wrong with the vehicle? At the time of me submitting this complaint, my car has been in the repair shop for 3 months. Can you imagine my rental expenses? I"ve read through several complaint

While I was driving, the car began to jerk and stall and the check engine light came on. I was able to drive about 3 more blocks then the car cut completely off. The car cut off in the middle of the street with myself and my children inside. We had to walk home and send for a tow truck. My car only had 78,000 miles. This same thing happened with my 2013 Sonata a few years ago. There seems to be a pattern of the motors cutting off while driving. This has caused loss of control of the car and the inability to steer or move the vehicle.

Don moore Hyundai (3200 villa point, owensboro, ky 42303, (270) 685-5555) and the manufacturer were informed of the failure. The failure mileage and VIN were unknown.

Driving on a busy, 4-lane street, approaching intersection with larger road (ref: speed limits 40 & 50, respectively). Vehicle suddenly, without warning (normal temp gauge, oil pressure, etc.; check engine light off) lost all ability to accelerate. Narrowly avoided being rear-ended as a car attempted to accelerate while changing lanes. Moving with urgency (2 babies in car-seats at rear, wife at passenger, busy road with some blind spots), I put hazards on, shut the engine off, restarted, and attempted to drive. No response, still no CEL indication. 2nd attempt, shut engine off, restarted, this time shifted to low gear. Able to accelerate up to ~5-10mph and signaling to approaching vehicles with arms through window, we were able to get to a parking lot and called a tow truck. Scary situatio
Shortly after getting on the freeway the car suddenly decelerated and came to a complete stop. I was able to pull onto the shoulder just in time. The engine died and would not restart. My daughter and I were in a very dangerous situation that could have been tragic. The car was towed to a mechanic that confirmed the engine had seized and a whole new motor is needed.
Oil consumption within 200 miles blind spot detection doesn't work
On two separate occasions while driving on the highway, call lost power and would not operate in a normal fashion. RPM gauge was highly erratic and pushing the accelerator to the floor did not result in increased speed. The first time I took it in, they said nothing was wrong with it. The 2nd time I had to have it towed, as it would no longer start. That time they told me it was a catastrophic engine failure caused by a spark plug.
On September 4, 2021 at approximately 11:30pm, my vehicle suffered a catastrophic engine failure while driving on a busy freeway in Southern California. There was no warning, only an immediate power lost and inability to accelerate, followed by a flashing check engine light and a chiming alert bell. My husband was driving and he was able to make it across 3 busy traffic lanes to the emergency lane. The sudden lost of power and the inability to accelerate created a significant danger on this busy freeway, California State Route 91. I believe we could have caused a significant accident on that freeway if we had not been able to pull over to the emergency lane in time. Since this incident, I learned through my own online research, that my vehicle was included in a class-action lawsuit whi

The driver's door is stuck, it cannot be opened.
While driving my car on the highway, the entire electrical system shut-down including my cruise control, GPS, radio etc. Also on this same trip, the engine completely stopped (also while on the highway). Luckily I was just turning off an exit ramp and was able to barely steer it to the side of the road. The starter light was still on, but the vehicle was completely dead. Had to punch the starter light again to turn it off and then back on again. A second incident occurred while my husband was driving my car in the city just this past week. Driving on streets (not highway driving) and the car shut down unexpectedly 4 different times: once climbing a hill; once trying to pass another driver; twice for no reason. I've taken this to the dealer since it's still covered under extended warrant
The screen on the GPS unit cracked as I was cleaning it. I had the car for 10 months with 7000 miles on the car. Hyundai has refused to replace the unit. I am unable to download updates, the continuity is broken. The car was parked and in my driveway as I was cleaning it.

I have already replaced the map sensor and the battery last year. Car was shutting off while driving with no warning. Check engine light would stay on. Recently in last couple months noticed issues with the brakes. When applying pressure to brakes while on freeway the steering would shake and feel like I had no control. Just received notice of a brake recall but there is still no remedy. How long do I wait for them to come up with a remedy?

While exiting the highway at a rate of 20mph on a decline, we began to slide in the snow, as we slid I began pumping the brakes to slow us down but the hill made us gain speed even though the wheels were not spinning. After sliding down hill for close to 100 yards, we made impact with another vehicle driving through the intersection. The front of my vehicle made direct impact with the side of the minivan. Impact was hard enough for the front bumper of my vehicle to be completely ripped off, my radiator cracked, the minivan is totaled and all the airbags went off in the minivan, but my airbags never did resulting in my chipping my teeth on the steering wheel, aggravating a fractured wrist, hurting my ribs, as well as my passenger hitting their head hard enough to give them a physician diagn

I drove approximately 40 miles to a gas station and went to park in a parking spot and my passenger exited the vehicle and yelled my car was in reverse even though I thought it was in park, upon trying to again put it in park it would not go in the park position. I was stuck in reverse and the vehicle would not park without using the emergency brake. No warning lights or any other message from my vehicle regarding this issue. I then put it in drive and drove home and again was not able to put the vehicle in park, after attempting numerous times and using the interlock system I was able to put it in park. This is a huge safety concern as there could have been someone behind me when parking and not even realizing the car was not in park as it was snowy out and the car was still for a moment

The brake light switch is malfunctioning and causing the brake light to stay on continiously. This is dangerous because the brake light stays on so theres no indication that I'm getting ready to stop because the light is already on, increaseing the risk of a crash. The cruise control is also afecteced with this issue because it stop working at the same time. I looked up the recall and it said that 2013 -2015 hydundia santa fee sport vihecles were affected, but when I call the dearlership they said my VIN# was not included in the recall!

We have been warned that the hood may blow off into the windsheild while traveling down the highway. Said they have a fix but it has been a couple of months before they say they have a part to fix it. We are afraid to drive this car at this point
