We own this vehicle for almost three years, several time the transmission seems sluggish, shutter, and stop in high ways while it almost caused several accidents. I pulled it on side get it towed to dealership and was told the transmission failed and told to call Infiniti consumer services, I did that but was told to bad we can't do anything, it seems that several owners have the same kind of issues, and the Infiniti corporation knows about it. Here is the response I got from Infiniti customer service. 12/29/2020 case # [xxx] VIN # [xxx] dear [xxx] , thank you for taking the time to contact Infiniti and allowing us the opportunity to be of assistance. Transmission has a shudder between 15-20 MPH around 1000-1500 RPM. Mainly happens in STD mode, other modes run at higher RPMs but does still happen on occasion.
Transmission is shuttering when pushing on the gas
First off there is a safety bulletin already released. And I know 2 others who own this vehicle who have the exact same issues. It's time to actually take care of your clients and fox the drive train issue. Where when driving and turning especially at slow speeds there is a violent vibration that comes from the front of the vehicle. Please take care of your customers. The dealership originally told us this issue would be replaced under recall. Then said sorry it's just a bulletin now. But it will turn into a recall before the winter. And thai was last year. So we have waited over a year now and there is still no official infinity qx60 2015 recall.
Transmission failed. The car was shuddering for a while now. The term "shuddering" I learned after describing issue to dealer who told me that looks like a transmission issue. After paying $170 to get it checked, I was told that transmission has premature failure code and must be replaced. I was told that the car is under 60K mileage, but over time period of warranty period by 2 months. They gave me a quote of around $6,500 to replace transmission. My car is 2015 Infinit QX60, which is exactly the same as 2014 version (which has transmission recall). The problem apparently was not fixed for 2015 version, but the recall was only issues for 2013 and 2014. I contacted Initini, however they told me to contact their legal team. This issue should be put on recall.
Transmissions feels like it is 'slipping' when driving slow around 20-25 MPH/1000-1500 rpms. Makes car shudder/shake like it's running out of gas. Took to Infiniti delearship - they could not replicate the issue and get a code. Was told this was just how the CVT transmission feels. Reprogrammed transmission - car still does it. Getting worse. Around 58k miles on car.

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2015 Infinity QX60. The contact discovered a mileage discrepancy after the purchase. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 99,500. It was later discovered that the mileage on the title was 165,000. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for an oil change, and the contact was informed about the mileage discrepancy.
Because I bought the car used in June of this year, around July, the driver's and passenger's side airbag warning lights on the display panel started flashing, then disappeared after a few days. After August, they kept flashing and then stopped altogether. I took it to an Infiniti dealership for inspection, and the mechanic reported that the airbag sensors were malfunctioning and there was no connection between the airbags and the computer system platform, and that other problems might even be discovered during the repair process. This result seriously affects my driving safety, and I believe it's a quality issue with the car's performance, not a problem caused by driving a used car.
The back hatch door does not always open when either using the car faub, button in the interior or manually on the hatch itself. It will partially open and then it will beep and try and close on its own, making it difficult to either put something in or take out of the back of car without it closing on your head because the sensor does not alert that I am there. Then to close the hatch I have to force it down because the close button on the hatch will not work...it's been very frustrating because it's been happening for months now. Sometimes it opens when prompted however the majority of the times it does not!
The car intermittently will not accelerate after being idle at stop signs etc. this has occurred on 3-5 instances in the last 4 months. All but one time when getting the vehicle later it didn't have any issues. The battery has been tested and is good, I cleaned the terminals and still had it occur. Upon reading an Infiniti forum it sounds like it is an intermittent alternator issue or electric module. This put my daughter in a stalled vehicle in an intersection several times after trying to troubleshoot issues to resolve it.

Sun roof collapse and explosion. Driving on interstate and sunroof suddenly exploded without being hit by object. I was traveling approximately 55 MPH on a cold day when the sunroof exploded. No debris was seen coming at the vehicle. No impact was heard prior to the sunroof exploding.
Upon arrival home, my wife and son had their doors open (driver's and passenger's front doors) and were in the process of getting out the vehicle. Shortly after, the vehicle began to roll backwards down the driveway, scraping the passenger front door along my truck. My son had to run backwards to get out from between the two vehicles. He could have been knocked by the door and run over. My wife attempted to press the brakes but the vehicle was off so the brakes did not work. It rolled back into the street and stopped on the curb on the other side. Thankfully no cars were passing by and hit the car as it rolled backward. After realizing that she and my son weren't hurt, she turned the vehicle on and drove it partially into the driveway to get it out of the street. The passenger front door w

Excessive condensation and internal fogging in the passenger side head lamp caused the lights (high beams, hazard beams and regular lights) to fail and remain inoperable. Driving without proper paired lighting is unsafe. The headlamp assembly was diagnosed at an Infiniti dealer as requiring full replacement. Excessive condensation caused the water to damage the headlight assembly and is not associated with the normal wear and tear required by consumers. The cost of replacing said head lamp assembly exceeds $2000 even though the car has not encountered a front end collision. After contacting Infiniti consumer affairs department, they concluded that no open recall existed. Therefore, Infiniti would not cover the cost and I was forced to pay over $2000 to replace the waterlogged lamp as drivi

I’m reporting a serious safety issue with this Infiniti. Tonight while driving the engine just shut off. We fortunately were not in an accident, but easily could have been. What terrifies me is that this happened twice a few years ago. It was still under warranty so Infiniti inspected it and replaced the entire transmission. The warranty is expired, but this huge safety issue is still happening!

As we were driving on the interstate we heard a very loud explosion type sound. It was night but in a well lit section of interstate. We weren't near any overpasses and were in the right lane of a three lane highway. We pulled over as soon as it was safe to see what had happened. When we checked the car we discovered our sunroof was shattered significantly. Neither of us in the front seat saw anything coming towards us and there was no evidence that anything hit us. We were traveling about 75 miles an hour with cruise control set. The sun shade was closed at the time the glass shattered so none of the glass entered the vehicle.

The sunroof spontaneously exploded. We were driving down the highway on a sunny day. No objects struck the glass but it shattered. The remaining glass is curved outward as if pressure from within the car caused it to shatter.
