Vehicle was being driven when the engine blew-up and became inoperable. After taking it to a mechanic, they said that the oil had stopped flowing through the engine and caused it to malfunction. There were no lights that appeared on the dashboard warning us of a problem.
Leased a 2015 Kia sorrento, in my third year of lease, regular oil changes every 3 months, heard a knocking sound in engine at approx. 35,000 miles on my way home from my son's hockey game on the highway which got louder and louder. Took it to the Kia dealer and immediately the sales person informed me that it was the connector rod failure without even working on the car. Showed Kia all my receipts for oil changes, waited two weeks to hear back from them, finally I called and they offered to pay for engine but I would be on the hook for 1200 on labor. Not sure why I am on the hook for labor on a faulty engine. They claimed there was sludge in the engine. Looked online and saw a recall for optima engine connecting rod for Kia in which they are extending their warranty from 100,000 mile
Engine seized up. Apparently it is common with Kia engines

The Kia paint on my white pearl Kia sorento has been peeling and rusting. This has been going on since 2017 and beginning at about 40k miles. I can't believe how many other white kias are doing the same thing. The patches are getting worse and peeling in big chunks now. My car is only 5 years old and told by Kia this is not covered. I am disappointed in Kia for not taking fault on clearly cheap paint placed on all white pearl kias.
I was driving straight in a grain silo town in kansas (coming up on oakley from colorado springs) and there were no cars around me. The weather wasn't drastically changing and there was no adverse weather. Suddenly, it sounds as though there was an explosion on the top of my car. The fabric partition that separates the sunroof from the interior of the car starts shaking violently in the wind and there was some glass shards that fell into the car. It goes without saying that the incident scared both me and my two kids who were in the car with me. I pulled over to the closest gas station and took a look at the damage (seen in the picture below). As I had the rest of my road trip to accomplish (kansas city, mo), my husband met me in oakley, ks with his car and we made the exchange. I am a ver
I have the snow white paint, and it is peeling in several areas. Hood, roof, and section that goes from fender to roof.

The low beam headlights are dangerously dim. They also burn out about every 6 months.
The lights dim way too quickly. HID basically is garbage. Major safety issue since most people can’t afford to be constantly replacing their headlight assemblies.
Low beam lights are dangerously dim. Constantly have to use high beams when safe to do so. Have to change them every six months or so because they one or the other stops working. Have had it checked out for this problem and they cannot find an issue. May have to trade this car in due to this dangerous situation. Very frustrating!

Lights are very dim, had to put in a brighter lightbulb. All of the sudden today the radio FM/AM Satellite and blue tooth stopped working. 12/22/22 - Driving home the lights stopped working and I was driving in the dark with no lights.
The running lights on the front and rear drivers side work half of the time, the plate light seems to turn off when they do. They'll come on for a split second and then go out, or on a good day they'll stay on. Seems like a short in the wiring. It could be a safety issue at night!!!
I purchased this vehicle less than 2 months go. I was driving on the highway and came to a red light. The car jerked and did not want to move when the light turned green. I came to a second red light and the light turned green as I press the gas the car shut off in the middle of heavy traffic. I could not get the car to crank again. I finally got help from someone who help push the car to a near parking lot.

airbags 1 complaint shown
Since the beginning of November, 2021, without incidence or prior warning, the airbag warning light came on when the vehicle is started and stays on the entire time the vehicle is on. The vehicle was brought to a KIA dealership on November 18th to diagnose the issue under extended 15 year warranty for two airbag recalls (one for clock spring and the other for ODS sensor). The diagnosis determined that the clock spring and ODS sensor were not causing the warning light to remain on, and the cause was a airbag code B1473, Driver Curtain Airbag Circuit Resistance High, and the dealership stated that it needed a driver side curtain airbag, estimated at $1,800.00, and not covered by warranty. Since this condition results in the airbag warning light to remain lit while the car is on and runnin

My son was pulled over and the officer said there were no operating rear lights. Noticed that you have to turn them on and off to come on. Then on another day there were no brakes gets lights either. I informed southwest Kia mesquite of the problem. They said that it was the light switch because one of their other models have the same issue and there was a recall on that model. They charged me to fix this saying although it was recalled in their other model the sorento was not recalled. After they installed they said I should have no problems with the lights and brake lights. They even did another insepction a week or so later (12/20/2019) saying that my car was safe to travel and everything was fine. While on the road trip with my family we noticed that the two main brake lights were not
