2016 Dodge Charger owner complaints

I bought the car 2 1/2 years ago. My driver and passenger doors were fine and weren't warped. A 1,000 miles after my door panels and my center consel under dash is warped also. Dodge dealership won't fix the issue as I'm out of my basic warranty even though this is a manufacturer defect. I called Dodge headquarters and they won't fix the issue either without paying a $1000 or so per door panel. I'm very upset about this. Apparently from reading online it's a known issue for chargers between 2014-2016 I think. Per dealership they said at the beginning of 2019 Dodge is coming out with version 2 door panels but will need to by them

After filling up the gas tank, the vehicle will stall for no apparent reason. It will restart but immediately stall again causing me to restart it again. It will do so 5 to 10 times before running normally again. It doesn't seem to matter at what speed but mostly at slower speeds. I have been caught in lanes on the freeway and it could lead to a very dangerous situation especially here in california. This car has been babied and has less than 25,000 miles on it.

I have been smelling a strong gas odor while driving on the road especially when the tank is full. Today while parked in my driveway I noticed a puddle of gas under the car too. The puddle was under the left rear seat. After some research I found a very common problem with these cars seems to be the fuel pump under the rear seat (where my 6 and 7 year old kids sit). I pulled up the rear seat and found the pump is leaking through the electrical connector and large amount of gas is pooled on top of the pump!! I used dozens of paper towels to soak it up and it just kept coming out. The electrical connector is also brown/burned near a couple of the probes indicating the gas is causing a short within the plug!! I unplugged the connector and found that the gas is actually spewing out from inside

I was driving to work with the heated seats on. When I got to work I noticed a pain from my right buttocks pressure point. I have approximately a 3 inch burn blister on my right buttocks.

Door panels are peeling up where the top part of the door panel and the window meet. I already had panels replaced by dealer when the car was still under warranty. The replacement panels are starting to fail as well. It is a common problem with these cars as documented by car forums. The harness on the car is defected and the engine light will not go off on the car.

The car randomly dies. I will come to a stop sign or stop light and it will shut off without warning. Usually I put the car in park and it starts back up without issues. Last time it happened when I started it back up it was stuck in 3rd gear. I've had it towed to Landmark dodge before and they said cam shaft sensor so they replaced it. Then it happened again and they agreed it was the battery. Replaced the battery. Does it again (this last time when it wouldn't come out of 3rd gear. Check engine light now on and no traction control) tow to Landmark they keep it for 3 days and they said it was acting normal and they see nothing wrong. Waiting for it to happen AGAIN. Every time Landmark tells me my car is fine.

Heather makes noises when blowing bolts are missing that holds the front grill or bumper

The car has had over 5 batteries in the last year and 3 in the last 2 months. Something is constantly draining the battery in my car and making them go very bad. Also the car will be dead if I park it too long because of the electrical issue and it’s been a huge problem for me.

Inside door paneling lifting off making it difficult to lock/ unlock. Being told this is a very common problem with the Dodge chargers. Very expensive to replace

The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was filed. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 21,000.

The contact was concerned that if moisture entered the inside of the door, the ability to close, lock, and operate the door may be compromised. The dealer concluded that they could not cover the vehicle and advised the contact to check with the manufacturer. The manufacturer was contacted and agreed with the dealer. The contact was referred to NHTSA to file a complaint. The failure mileage was 67,000.

The following day the vehicle was restarted and the headlight operated as designed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 23,000.

My head light wont turn on dont know whats wrong

The contact owned a 2016 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that while driving approximately 10 - 15 MPH, another vehicle suddenly crashed into his vehicle from the rear driver's side at approximately 55 MPH. The contact stated that the driver’s side A-pillar and driver’s side rear B-pillar were severely crushed, but no air bags deployed. A police report was made. The vehicle was towed from the scene and deemed a total loss. The contact suffered a concussion, bruising along the left side of his body, memory loss, and a broken collar bone. The contact was not aware of anyone else had sustained any injuries. The contact went to the hospital to seek medical attention. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 110,000.

The front arm controls go out quickly. Went to a well known mechanic shop and was informed this is common and frequent in chargers and my headlights have blown. Every other charger I see, 2016 and above havevat least one headlight out or both. The headlight issue is too frequent for this to be just wear and tear on such a recent vehicle. The suspension wears out too quickly and is extremely expensive to have repaired. I owned a car for more than 5 years previously and the suspension did not show signs of wear until at least that 4th or maybe 5th year. These 2 issues I truly feel are a defect within this particular vehicle.

When returning from a trip to upper michigan my windshield was dirty so I pressed the windshield washer button and nothing happened so I pressed it again with the same results, so we continued on. We we on a 6 lane highway with the cruise control set at 72 MPH. When approaching our exit I needed to get around 2 semis so I stepped on the gas and the RPM gauge went to 5000 RPM and the speed suddenly dropped down to about 60 MPH, I tried it again and it did the same thing. When I finally got safely off the highway I went directly to my dealer who told me there was nothing they could do for me for the next week. We went to our home not knowing what was going to happen next. The following day we needed to run some errands around town and the car ran perfect and has ever since. This happe
