2016 Jaguar F-TYPE owner complaints

When changing lanes @ app. 45mph, the car initially felt as if it would roll over. The car then swerved right and left , nearly pushing me into the traffic in the next lane. Steering was very difficult to control, requiring my full strength. After a few minutes, the car straightened and steering effort returned to normal.this occurred on a smooth, 4-lane road which was dry. Jaguar service personnel were aware of similar issues but cold not identify a cause.

Symptoms of failure was present prior to complete failure. At highway speed, vehicle sometimes resisted steering input. At 20-30mph, steering wanders side to side and fights my steering inputs. When complete failure occurred, steering became difficult at low speed, parking situations. No warning or error message on dash. Vehicle was towed to dealer where they determined the electric motor on the steering rack suffered an internal failure. When disconnected from power, the steering rack was smooth, albeit unassisted. When connected to power, the steering rack was stiff and difficult to turn. It was determined that the electric motor resisted steering input rather than assist. Steering racks used by a range of Jaguar Land Rover products in this period also suffered similar internal failure

Rear back up camera does not work. Vehicle displays ‘Rear Camera System Fault’ message. No image on screen when reverse gear selected.

Following "repairs" at the dealership on cooling system, car notified me of overheating half way home while on highway. After nearly crashing and being hit in trying to pull over to stop the vehicle, I opened the hood to find the coolent lines had been shaved and repairs in other areas very poorly done. Car constantly is leaking coolant and oil. I have also replaced the battery 4 times and the car requires daily jump starting. The car paint indicated a repaint job when del8vered to me with 100 miles of it. After claiming to have realigned the tires after my fronts went bad after 5000 miles, I discovered that they had not been balanced nor aligned. The flywheel malfunctioned on my Jaguar f-type but Jaguar, even though they updated the part numbers for the flywheel and clutch, and despite the fact that any malfunction with the flywheel is going to compromise the clutch assembly as they are connected mechanically, are refusing to change the clutch and only the flywheel. The clutch/flywheel failed catastrophically. The car became harder and harder to shift and then wouldn't go into gear at all. I stopped turned the engine off. The car would not restart or go into gear without great force and then required as much force to take it out of gear.

The Rear Differential started making an odd noise. Took it to the dealer where it is now and they said it needs a new rear differential. They are blaming the tires...

From my research I discovered that this is a wide ranging problem for their vehicles in geographic locations that are consistently hot. Jaguar Land Rover North America is well aware of this problem. On 1/24/20 I brought my vehicle in for service. On this service call the vehicle was under warranty. I pointed out the issue with the right side vent trim piece, the worst of the deteriorating parts. This car is equipped with the 6 speed manual transmission. When shifting up, even if you take you foot off the accelerator completely, the engine does not respond to the accelerator input as it remains at the RPM when the shift was initiated ( 3500 RPM as an example ) for over a second, drops 200 RPM then increases 50 RPM and then finally will drop to idle. The engine is not responding to throttle input when shifting this leaves the engine at a much higher RPM when trying to shift up and makes it impossible to shift smoothly since the engine is revving to high for the next selected up shift.
