My 2017 Chevy Cruze engine failed with only 38,000 miles on it (Case [XXX]). After it happened, I read that this is a known problem (see link below). I hope that GM will consider a recall on this item in order to save others from this experience. When I contacted GM and Chevy about this in late August, I was hoping that GM would take full responsibility for what clearly appears to be a manufacturing defect in Cylinder 1. I was deeply disappointed that it took GM so long to respond to this request, and that the compensation was no more than the cost assistance that I was offered at the dealership originally. I will never buy a GM vehicle again, and will be sure to tell my friends and family about my dissatisfaction with owning a 2017 Chevy Cruze. [XXX] Sincerely, [XXX] INFORMATION RED

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet cruze. While the contact's spouse was driving approximately 55 MPH, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle; however, it performed erratically. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the pistons were burnt and referred the contact to malloy Chevrolet. The vehicle was taken to malloy Chevrolet (2700 valley ave, winchester, va 22601, (540) 667-1000) where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was given a cost estimate of $6,000 to replace the engine. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000. *ln
I was driving check engine light came on. I immediately drove car home. Got tental. Called my warranty company had car towed to garage. Haragevis mot qualified to replace turbo engine. Waiting til morning to fix.
I have a 2017 Chevy cruze, with 38,000 miles. My piston cylinder is broken. I had bought it off a dealership with 24000 miles on it4 years ago. At 38000 miles with only putting very little mileage on it, I have to have the engine replaced which is a very expensive fix. I should not have to have to have my whole engine replaced at 38,000 miles. I have done my research and this is a common problem with the 2017 cruzes. This is suppose to make a great family, realiable car! I am very upset with Chevy! There was no prior warnings of my cylinder piston breaking. Stability service light came on and immediently after the engine light did took it to a shop the next day. And my cylinder is broken. With labor it is easier to just replace the whole engine. I am very disappointed! I was driving with m
When it’s cold outside the air induction signal comes on and comes off. This is the second time I had this service within a year. Mechanics advised me that there is nothing wrong with my vehicle and drives smooth that the code P1101 maybe a recall because they have been seeing it much frequent on Chevy Cruze 2017,2018
Tl* the contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet cruze. The contact stated that while driving at 30 MPH, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to dealer (bryner Chevrolet 1750 the fairway, jenkintown, pa 19046) for repairs but the failure was not able to be determined. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 200.
At around 57,000 miles service stabilitrack message displayed on dashboard. Next day CEL came on. Rough idling. Took it to closest Chevy dealer told it was a misfire in cylinder 1. New spark plugs and coil pack. Didn't fix. Ran compression test and low compression on that cylinder (110 vs 220 in other 3 cylinders). Took it to the dealership we purchased it from and for sure it's a piston. Replacing all 4 pistons n seals under our warranty.
1st cylinder misfire with only 60,000 miles on it. Research shows this is an issue yet GM Chevy has not recalled it. Not a simple fix it requires new engine

Clutch pedal does not return, cannot change gears. Chevy issued a TSB, however they do not warranty the repair. The problem is with a clogged orifice which is a engineering defect. This is a well know problem and is extremely dangerous. I assume enough people haven't died yet from this issue for a recall.
Once my Chevrolet Cruze equipped with the 1.6liter diesel engine and 9T50 transmission reached 120,000 miles it stopped shifting into the 9th speed. I had Jones Chevrolet (local GM dealer) flush the transmission at their request. Apparently the transmission filter is basically impossible to replace unless pulling the transmission out and taking the transmission apart. This problem still exists and after doing some research it seems that GM knows of the problem and changed the torque converter and transmission pump in later years.
Clutch pedal became really soft. At one point, it had no resistance at all. I could not change gears when the car was on, but I could change gears when the car was off. The pedal was even stuck to the floor and would not come back at all. After being towed to the dealership, the clutch was back to normal, but nothing was done to the car. I believe something from the tow truck may have unstuck something. Now the clutch pedal has a weird feeling. Sometimes there is no resistance but when I press it a few times, I get some pressure back. The 'sweet spot' keeps moving.
Chevy Cruze 2017 manual transmission clutch pedal stuck to the floor while driving preventing changing of gears. Was able to lift pedal with toe, but was still not fully able to then depress clutch to get the car in gear. Pumping the pedal helped loosen and eventually allowed it to work normally temporarily. For the past year, occasionally the clutch would be slow to return after depressing, but did not cause any safety issue and since it could not be reproduced for dealer, no repairs were made. Having an experience of not being unable to change gears in traffic caused a significant safety issue, which will need to be remedied. Appointment for service is scheduled for tomorrow and will find out more what the problem is, but based on online forums, it likely is a faulty slave cylinder

The radio screen stopped working, and now the backup camera will not display on the screen at all. This is a definite safety issue.
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated while driving 55-60 MPH, the vehicle made an abnormal banging sound. The contact then noticed through the rearview mirror, that the rear bumper had detached and was hanging on the passenger's side of the vehicle. The contact pulled over to the side of the road and noticed that an unknown control module had detached along with the bumper. The contact stated that only one rear bumper screw remained attached while the others were missing. The vehicle was taken to the dealer parts department and was provided the screws to temporarily re-attach the bumper. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 88,000.
I was sitting stationary in traffic when the light changed to green. I prepared to move, the auto stop kicked off and shut my car down. Nothing was on but all the lights on the dashboard. I had to shift into park and restart my car. This was the first time this has happened and it almost caused an accident since the car behind me was not aware that my car had just cut off. Now my car makes a jerk whenever I accelerate or come to a complete stop. Please look into this because this is a true safety hazard and will eventually cause an accident!

I was unaware of my vehicles recall until 12/15/2019 when I've went to the tire multiple times and they advised me there is nothing in my tire. The sensor comes on daily and the pressure does not go above 10 and goes back forth from 0 . This is very dangerous
While driving a very distracting 'warning message' will appear on the information screen which takes the drivers focus away from the road for an extended period. This is especially distracting at night since the message will light up the inside of the vehicle to the point of affecting visibility. This message must be acknowledged to remove it from the information screen. Photograph is attached which illustrates vehicle was in motion at the time the message was generated distracting the driver severely. The message says, "taking your eyes off the road too long too often could cause a crash resulting in injury or death to you or others. Focus your attention on driving". This is quite ironic as it is an extreme distraction that takes time to read. This is a random occurrence that may happen s

I have been experiencing loss of power steering upon vehicle startup, which has at times persisted into the beginning of my drive. A stabilitrak warning is displayed on the driver information center indicating an issue with the electric power steering. There is a definite physical loss of power steering that recovers within a minute. This message and loss of power steering seems to occur during cold and wet/rainy conditions where temperatures are estimated below 40 f. The whole electric power steering rack assembly was replaced under waranty in q1 2018, but did not fix the root cause. At that time, the dealer was able to locate diagnostic codes, but in two subsequent visits for the same issue, the dealer has been able to solve this issue. It is ponderous that the dealer has insisted

brakes 1 complaint shown
With less than 25,000 miles on this leased vehicle all four brake rotors were rusted to the point of deterioration and chipping. The rust was so thick and rough that it was grinding away the pads with stopping ability seriously diminished. One rear brake pad was ground down to the metal surface. The dealer would not warranty the rotors as brakes are considered normal vehicle maintenance. In fact , I was told by the service manager that an equinox was in his shop with the same problem. That vehicle's mileage was 19,000. The condition of these rotors was anything but normal, as though they were manufactured using a poor quality and /or porous material. On average vehicle rotors last up to 50,000 miles and through two sets of brake pads. My claim is that these severely rusted rotors are a saf
