Vehicle only has 86,000 miles. Brake vacuum pump issue has failed and almost caused an accident or even death. I took my tuck at an easy trail in Big Sur CA. Brakes wasn’t working properly. I feared it would completely fail and cause us to fall off the cliff. Fortunately we got off that trail, but as we continued to drive on highway 1 the brakes would not stop the vehicle as it should. The truck would still move forward or even in reverse with the brakes pressed down. Brake pedal was hard to press and would get stuck. There were no warning lamps on to alert me. This issue has been going on for about a year and has finally given out. The vehicle has been inspected and brake vacuum pump replaced by Smith Chevrolet in Turlock CA. I was told by the service person that Chevy has a 150,000 mile

This complaint deals with the brake recall coming from gm. I did take the truck to have the brake system reprogrammed. I had no issues until after the reprogramming of the system. While in parking lot going less than 5 MPH. I pulled into a parking spot placed the truck into reverse to straighten out and during the process of pulling back into the parking space straight. When I went to depress the pedal it was very stiff, it actually seemed as if the brake pedal was pushing back at my foot and the truck did not stop when it was expected to. Luckily, there was no car in the space in front of me allowing for the truck to come to a stop with no accidents or incidents. This at occurred approximately 73,500 miles. I did notify the dealership about this and they are replacing the vacuum brake pum

AC condenser leak, no cold air blowing. Only 82,539 miles. I took my truck to Chevy and was told about the issue and the cost amount to replace. I asked if that’s under warranty or recall. Chevy dealer told me no. Because there haven’t been too many complaints about it, so it’s not yet a recall. Then the service person then proceed to tell me the repair cost amount which was around $1100. And I was also told that Chevy now has a better AC condenser part to replace the defective ones. This obviously upsets me because this truck has been nothing but problems for me. I took my truck to a mechanic shop and had the AC condenser replaced for way less than what Smith Chevrolet of Turlock CA quoted me on cost. My mechanic showed me the defective part and where it’s leaking at. The AC condenser is

Radiator leak, coolant fully drained out, truck overheated. Approximately 86,000 + miles. I recently replaced the AC condenser back in [XXX]. Which I submitted a complaint form also. Reference below. Request #[XXX] Complaint number [XXX] Then in [XXX] I had the radiator replaced. This was due to a leak that caused all coolant to drain. The engine overheated because of the radiator leak. I was on the freeway when this happened. I ended up taking my truck to be inspected at a mechanic shop. I was then showed the issue of the leak. The radiator is poorly designed and is a similar issue to the AC condenser I had just replaced. The sides of the radiator is made of plastic which cracks or warp causing it to leak. I took pictures of the defective radiator after it was taken out. I decided no

This 2017 Silverado 2500HD LT L5P is showing limited distance with an error message of "DEF FLUID EMPTY" when it is not. There are no codes for DEF (the only codes are showing glow plugs, NOX1, and the Body Control Module). The truck will permit REGEN but not DEF fluid quality or pressure tests. Pin 14 displays 0v (empty). Five months ago the DEF pump was replaced with a NEW pump.

The rear window with power slider blew out when I shut my truck door. I read online that there is a recall for many other models similar to my vehicle but for some reason mine wasn't included. The window itself is over a thousand dollars just for the part; I'd appreciate some help in getting this to include my vehicle as well because it is directly inline with recalls for very similar models. Thank you, [XXX] - I can supply pictures if requested. I don't have them available to upload them now. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The electrical wires in my back window got so hot it shattered my back window. Could smell electrical smoke post incident. Rear defrost was in use. There is currently a recall on exact same truck model and year in canada but currently not in the us. This needs to be addressed before someone gets injured.

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the Stabili-trak message was displayed and the ABS and traction control warning lights illuminated. The front wheels seized while making a turn. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the front driver's side speed sensor and wires were faulty. The front driver's speed sensor, wire kit, and connector kit were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer, where it was determined that the ABS and Stabili-trak had seized and the front driver's side wheel bearing was faulty. The dealer replaced the hub assembly.
