2 weeks ago multiple warning lights came on when I started the vehicle (power steering, vehicle stability assist, hill start assist, trailer stability assist, emission control, etc.). At the same time the vehicle's performance became sluggish. Acceleration, shifting and braking were all effected. The next day the lights were off, only to reappear with all issues the day after. I disconnected the battery to 'reset', and that worked for 1 day. I then replaced the battery with the same result. Now the problem happens every time the vehicle is started. All warnings show up before the vehicle is moving.

Our 2017 Honda ridgeline has had an electrical problem ever since we bought it in 2018. The engine light goes on when driving, all systems blink especially the emissions light and warnings. The horn honks until I click the unlock button and then it honks again. When we took it in to Honda service and it was not blinking and they said it had to have the blinking going off to know the problem and to bring it back. We took it somewhere else and they said the injector 2 was bad.
The Stop/Start button does not start or stop the engine when pushed. Honda has an "extended warranty" but will only honor the warranty "if a code has been set" regardless of the error messages displayed on the dash or the failure of the button to function While an extended warranty is of some value, in my opinion, the failure of the "Stop" button to stop the engine immediately when required (which happens frequently) creates a safety hazard and should result in a recall rather than simply an extended warranty, which has limitations of time and mileage in addition to the "circumstances" (i.e. the "trouble code must be present")
Alarm system goes off every 20 minutes. This just started to happen. In california. Vehicle is parked stationary. The lights come on and stay on then the alarm goes off. But internal then external lights come on first, then the alarm goes off. It is dry no rain exists. When this condition occured.
The contact's wife owns a 2017 Honda Ridgeline. The contact stated that the AWD and battery fan warning lights were illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact took the vehicle to a dealer where he was informed that the alternator needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and informed him that there were no recalls on his wife's vehicle. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V888000 (Electrical System) which he linked to the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
My 2017 Ridgeline had clicking noises in the dash and the interior lights were flickering, truck was in the garage at home. I was able to start the truck and move it outside. I was afraid it may be a short and start a fire. Upon turning off truck it started making the noises again and interior lights flickering. I took it to Honda the next day and after two days they claimed they couldn't figure it out but charged me to disconnect my after market amp and labor for diagnostic. Two days later the issue persisted. I called Honda again and brought it in, this time there was a code to read. The code was "keyless start system problem" so they ordered the module to fix it but explained that it was on backorder and there was no ETA on when I'd get the part. A few weeks later I was stranded at work

a smell of gas came into the car. fuel pump was the problem as per the dealer. could cause driver to pass out or fire
2017 Honda Rideline RTL-T with 46,464 miles on the odometer. While on a trip totaling approximately 550 miles, after travelling approximately 350 miles we stopped to refuel. The Truck after fueling was hard to start and would lose power at 35-40 mph and would not accelerate. Check Engine light was on plus Various Dash Caution lights (ABS, SRS, EPS, AWD, VSA, Hill Traction, etc) I used an ODB 2 code reader and read P0087 Fuel Rail/System Too Low. I was able to take back roads driving approximately 8 miles at 20 mph to safely arrive at closest Honda Dealership in Abilene. The service advisor there told us it could not be diagnosed that day and the service department do not stock parts. We rented a vehicle and continued our journey. If the truck broke while we were on I-20 Freeway while traff
This vehicle comes equipped with a capless fill door. Upon trying to fill up with gas, I found myself unable to insert the nozzle for filling. After further effort, the first fuel flap broke. After removing the broken flap, I found the fuel fill neck filled entirely with ice, thus preventing inward movement of the flap. I was unable to fill the vehicle up with fuel as a result. Vehicle is a 2017 with 50,000 miles.
Lack of information and action regarding the degradation of soy based wiring insulation from rodents.
All the warning lights came on. I took the vehicle to the dealer for diagnosis. They told me that the problem was the fuel injectors. The vehicle only has 40,000 miles. They said there was a factory problem with the programming in the ECU and they are aware of the problem. They have issued an extended warranty for this. They now refuse to honor the warranty because my title is a salvage title. A salvage title has nothing to do with their faulty programming. They now want to charge me $1,300.00 to have them fix it. The vehicle is at the dealer now waiting for a remedy 12/5/2025. I think this could be dangerous if it is not repaired. The engine could stall or fail while on the road.

Have taken in a few times for engine knocking, Honda has down oil changes and reported noise is normal but is getting louder, purchased extended warranty from Honda dealer. Also had at Honda for oil and filter change a month ago, they also were supposed to have completed the tailgate harness but told me it had be previously complied with but never took it off the list of open recalls. Honda isn’t the company it used to be. After my purchase of my new Honda pilot and issues- it will be my last Honda period.
Connecting rod bearing on the #6 cylinder...after the injectors failed and the vehicle was barely drivable the Honda mechanic heard a knocking in the motor which was confirmed when I agreed to pay $700 for them to tear it down to look. Mechanic confirmed issue which is EXACTLY same issue as the recall for other 2017 Ridgelines. I am somewhat lucky as I had purchased an extended warranty but it will still cost me over $700 to get a used motor. The insurance company confirmed issue. There were no warning lights or anything that came on prior to the injectors failing. Could have been a major issue as mechanic said it was just a matter of time before motor completely blew up.
Driver detected faint internal engine noise. There were no warning lamps or other messages displayed. Vehicle was taken to Nissan North, 8645 North High Street, Worthington, OH 43065, (614) 436-2768 ("Shop"). Shop diagnosed the internal engine noise as "connecting rod knock". Engine then seized up while in the possession of Shop. Engine was required to be replaced. See attached Nissan North invoice. Prior to the above described incident, vehicle owner had not experienced problems or symptoms with the involved engine. Owner has become aware that the engines in 2017 Honda Ridgelines are now the subject of an NHTSA safety investigation.
Complete engine failure at approximately 107K miles. Honda Corp denied warranty consideration. I paid to have Honda dealership replace engine. Subsequently Honda issued recall notice referring to the engine failure with description similar to the repairs listed on the Honda invoice I paid. I believe the recall notice is 23V-751. I called Honda after the recall and they stated that my VIN was not included in that recall. I believe I paid to have the repairs completed instead of Honda honoring the recall.
I was driving on the highway when there was a sudden drop in power, accompanied by a flashing engine light. I was unable to proceed at normal highway speeds and was worried about a complete loss of power. I was able to coast/stay in a low gear to get off the highway and find a safe place to park the vehicle. Shortly after parking, the engine stopped and would not engage on attempts to restart. It was hauled to the local Honda Dealer who confirmed that the engine was completely seized and would need to be replaced. They have not disassembled it yet to confirm the precise failure point. Prior to the loss of power, there appeared to be some light, intermittent clicking sounds that I was trying to localize, but appeared to be coming from the front of the vehicle. This lasted for sever

I was driving and without any warning or indication that anything was wrong, I heard a loud clunk noise and immediately lost power to the wheels, but the engine continued running. I was barely able to get the vehicle to the shoulder before it came to a complete stop without me applying the brakes. A Police Officer came to assist and tried to push it, but even after shifting to neutral, the car would not move. The tow company had to drag it onto the flatbed because the front passenger wheel would not turn. The Honda Service Center indicated that the axle separated from the transmission. They are in the process of making repairs. While waiting for the tow truck, my car had to sit in a busy highway on ramp turn lane, nearly getting hit several times despite my hazard lights. Had this
