My oil filter housing is cracked. I have a 2017 and it is plastic I know after 2017 Jeep knew of the issue and changed the production type then. This is a known issue. Happens to many Jeeps I hear about it a lot. It’s a $1000 fix for something that is common in Jeeps and other pentastar 3.6l engines. I am getting it fixed this week for I am getting a kidney transplant and need it done before the surgery.

Oil cooler assembly cracked and warped (also k own as oil filter housing) this led to a large oil leak and depleted all oil from engine. Repair was over $1,000. All mechanics are saying this is a known issue and becomes expensive because both intake manifolds need to be removed to replace
The oil cooler leaks and the oil runs down the intake valley, down the back of the engine, and onto the frame and the exhaust pipe, this can create a fire hazard under the driver's seat. It also causes oil puddles on the ground which is a hazard. The dealer says oil cooler leaks are the most common issues on the Chrysler/Jeep 3.6L engine. I was told by the dealer, when making an appointment for replacement, that they have to change these oil coolers a ridiculous number of times. I can safely assume that thousands of people are having this same issue, by the amount of blogs, videos and beware when buying warnings and the fact that there are hundreds of aftermarket options for this item. This leak is going to cost me $1,000 to have fixed because they did not engineer it properly, not to ment

Anti lock braking system and traction control activate at low speeds - at 5-10 MPH. It applies the brakes without warning and cuts power to the engine.
Tl* the contact owns a 2017 Jeep wrangler. While driving approximately 60 MPH, a loud banging and wrenching noise suddenly occurred and the vehicle began to shake violently from side to side. The driver could also feel heat coming from the floor of the vehicle. After stopping the vehicle, a tow truck was called to the scene. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the driveshaft had severed, separated from the steel encasement, and exploded through the floor of the vehicle. The failure caused a hole in the floorboard. The vehicle was towed to texan Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (18555 hwy 59 n., humble, tx 77338). The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 17,700.
Recurrent transmission pan gasket leaking. Repaired and replaced pan and gasket in March 2024 and reoccurred December 2024. Uploaded March Report, currently at dealer for repair 2nd incident now. Vehicles manufactured Nov 2016 had a recall for this same issue but this vehicle wasn’t included due to it being a couple months manufactured. Likely should have been included.
My car was brought to the dealer for the same repair 3 times in the last three months. It was never corrected properly. Check engine light dashboard was on (while in motion and stationary on roads and highways)because there was a engine caliber misfire. Brakes were squeaking after being replaced. Brought my car back to the dealer on friday, november 27, demanding this repair be done properly. Name of the dealership is empire Jeep Dodge located on sunrise highway in west islip new york. My vehicle is still at the dealership - being worked on. Per the conversation with their associate today, my car should be ready by today 12/1 or tomorrow 12/2. Severe "death wobble" at speeds over 40MPH occurs at random times, usually at highway speeds. Have replaced steering damper, shocks, upper and lower control arms, front u-joints, etc....and these repairs have only masked the problem. The OEM suspension is completely unmolested...no lifts, etc. Tires were replaced around 55-60K miles with a slightly wider tire. Wobble started around 95-100K miles. Currently around 115K miles on vehicle.

Dear Sir(or Madam), The Left Rear Caliber is locking up AGAIN. We have changed 4 Rear Calibers, Rotors , Breaks and Brake Hoses and Two Sets of Front Calibers, Breaks, Rotors and Break Hoses and again the Caliber in the Rear Right is locking up again. This you would think is a Safety Hazard by now. We have owned three Wranglers and everyone of them had Brake Problems. I thought that maybe Jeep would have this problem solved by now. But am sure if NHTSA doesn't do anything then Jeep isn't going to do anything. This problem is costing us a arm and leg. I wish you at NHTSA would do something about this on going problem. Thank you.
Dear Sir(or Madam), My Driver Side Rear Cailper locked up (AGAIN) and my Rear Brakes, Cailper and Rotors had to be replaced (AGAIN) this is the second time I had this problem since I purchased this Jeep that I had the Cailper locked up. Jeep has a real problem with this happening. The last time this happened I had a warranty this time I don't. The last 3 Wranglers I have purchased had the same problem, if this isn't a safety problem it shoud be. I have not received a Repair Order as of yet but will summit it when I do get it.

I purchased this vehicle new in august of 2017. The vehicle is the wrangler unlimited (4 door) sahara package. This package includes LED headlights. On december 16th I drove the vehicle through falling snow at night. I was on a highway in a remote area traveling with traffic at reduced speeds, approximately 20 MPH. After approximately 30 minutes I noticed my visibility diminishing. The windshield was clear of snow. However, objects in front of me were becoming harder to see. I turned the lights on and off to see if it made a difference. It did not. I felt I could safely follow the vehicle in front of me until I could find a safe area to pull over. We were approaching a small city with street lights which made traveling safer. I pulled off an exit to assess the headlight issue.

When driving home from lubbock at posted speeds of 70 and 75 MPH my hood started to flutter and jump. I was on 2 lane roads and if a tractor trailer passed me the hood would actually raise up. I pulled over at a convenience store and checked to ensure my hood straps were on and that the hood was closed and it was. I took my Jeep to the dealership and they said that the hood is way out of alignment, way out of factory specs however they cannot fix it because they don't have a frame straightener (my term not theirs). The dealership also tried to blame it on a fender bender where the front plastic bumper guard is dented in and I told them that happened in the process of parking and below 10 MPH. The dealership also found my driver's side door out of alignment which was leaking along wi
