The infotainment system suffers from ghost touching. It has gotten out of control even after a “recall” fix at the dealership. Without being touched the volume changes, the stations change, the presets change, the car makes calls to my contacts. I am often unable to control the screen as it turns the car to max volume while driving. It is extremely unsafe, distracting and alarming.

Known ghosting issue caused by manufacturing and diagnosed by Mazda. The lights inside flicker, the radio/navigation/telephone (bluetooth) starts, stops, and moves as it wants to. This causes distractions and is unsafe while driving. There are recalls on other model cars for this, however, Mazda won't fix my car even though they acknowledge this was a manufacturing problem.
Mazda infotainment system malfunction, the infotainment system keeps rebooting while drive, stationary, in motion & on a city/highway, using the navigation system becomes dangerous, can't use the infotainment system at all.
I have reported this same issue to NHTSA since 2021, and the issue persists to date. Other model years of Mazdas (2017, 2018) including my vehicle have been experiencing "ghost touch". This is an issue that Mazda addressed under a recall for the 2014-2016 models, however, has failed to extend. This poses as severe safety issue as the vehicle randomly increases the volume and will change settings that can either startle the driver and/or make visibility of the cluster impossible especially while driving at night. Please address this issue. There are numerous complaints with this specific year and model alone; but I am certain if searches were conducted on other models, the same issue will be found.
Dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. Multiple warning lights all at once. This issue has been reported on multiple Mazda vehicle years. Took to Delker Auto repairs. Is electrical problem. Stated that so far nothing wrong with components. Will have to hunt for. Mazda has known electrical issues. In addition, your file upload will not let me upload picture even though it's in correct format. I can send separately.
Check engine light went on at 56mph and stalled the vehicle. Almost causing and accident all lights on dash went on and off. I stopped turn the vehicle off then on and only the check engine light went on but started stalling after accelerating again the after about 3 mile the lights and stalling happened again. This can cause a major accident
The infotainment display operates by itself. This is a known issue commonly called “ghost touch” and Mazda has issued service bulletins for 2014-2016 model year cars. Unfortunately other cars including my 2017 CX-5 are also affected. This is a safety issue as the navigation will stop working and the constant beeping from the ghost clicking is very distracting and can lead to the driver not focusing on the road. Mazda should be required to recall all affected model years, not just the 2014-2016.
The back up camera fails to operate at times for a day or half a day. Sometimes it appears black and other it just shows the volume with an x over it, but no picture of the rear. I have checked each time and there is nothing blocking the camera in the rear. The first time it occurred there was just a few thousand miles, then again about 5,000 and then again at 9465 miles. I was in park with foot on the brake and in reverse. No image appeared and then when backing up in motion it did not work either. It has happened over 3 times in the first 10 months of owning the vehicle and the dealer will not fix it because they cannot reproduce it. It is intermittent. The car had a similar problem with the front camera which was finally replaced after 7 months after my many trips to dealers. It was rep

I was driving at 60mph on an open highway, no one in front, back or to the side of me when suddenly I heard an explosion sound and and the sunroof glass began to pour on my cousin, his wife and me. I pulled over to inspect the outside of the car. It was obvious by the way that the glass was blown outward that the glass exploded and was not "caused by a rock" (the dealer insisted it was caused from a pebble)
The car display turns on and off, creating distraction and inability to control car setting, including safety capabilities. This display was replace by an authorized dealer on August 2020 but in September 2021 the display start given the same issues that concern my safety and the safety of my family.
Navigation/backup camera screen reboots constantly. This problem often occurs when I'm backing up. Mazda is aware of the issue as I have found many complaints on forums. It is not exclusive to the CX5. It appears to be all Mazda's, cars and SUV's.
I was driving down the highway about 70mph on a sunny day about 71f with my sunshade open, no cars nearby. All of a sudden I heard this loud pop, explosion like, my sunroof had shattered! Glass went everywhere on me, passenger seat, backseat. I ducked, fortunately there were no cars around me that could've LED to a wreck. I closed my sun shade and drove straight to the nearest dealership. The explosion was so loud it caused me ear pain that later progressed to massive headache.
The vehicle gave three beeps and the break emergency light indicator came on. The car doesn't even have 11,000 miles on it yet and it is a brand new 2017. Luckily I was just leaving the house to go shopping and did not get onto a major thoroughfare yet. The manual indicates that I should not drive anywhere because the brakes can fail at any moment and to immediately contact the dealer, but it's a sunday so I can't do that. The brake pedal sounds like air is coming out of it when I press it down and it has a lot of give.
The sunroof on my Mazda cx-5 just shattered for no reason. Nothing hit it. It just shattered all of the sudden while I was driving on a highway.

My car has been getting the P092 code with check engine light, it runs really rough, i have had many parts replaced at my expense when i know the model years 2018 and 2019 have been recalled, I am many others are having the same issues, is it going to take people dying on highways because their car just shuts off. My cat has been having the same issues reported in safety recall 19V497-6744. after googling around, I may have found an answer. Denso, who makes low pressure fuel pumps for a lot of different manufacturers, recalled several million of them a couple of years ago. They determined that there was a manufacturing defect that causes the pump impellers to crack and deform. Then they don't move enough gas to the front of the engine. I guess there is no pressure sensor between the tank
The contact owns a 2017 Mazda CX-5. The contact stated while driving 20 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact towed the vehicle to her daughter's residence. The contact then towed the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the engine to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired but was pending repairs. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 66,000.

Yesterday my wife tried to stop our cx5 in our driveway but it kept a slow glide for a few yards thus crashing into our garage door. Shifting into park a 2nd time (1st time didn't work) and pounding the brake pedal finally stopped the vehicle after pushing in the garage door a few feet. Engine remained in low idle (no acceleration) and brake feedback was normal (not mushy) the whole time. This is 2nd occurrence. First occurrence was about 6 months ago as the cx5 glided part way into an intersection. All symptoms listed above were exactly the same.
tires 1 complaint shown
A low tire pressure indicator light warning /beep came on the display panel. Soon after, while driving on a busy street, the driver's side front tire suddenly went completely flat all the way to the rim, causing a safety issue. There was no nail or other foreign object in the tire, just very worn out tread. With only 28,346 miles, all four Yokohama Geolandar G 91A P225/65 R17 100H tires have worn tread with the two front tires the worst. I had the two front tires replaced with Advanta 225/65 R17 102H because I didn't want the same Yokohama Geolandar low quality tires. I didn't have at the time, and still don't have the funds to replace the two rear tires, even though the rear tires are losing pressure the same way, which I'm keeping watch on, as the indicator warning doesn't seem to ale
