This vehicle was purchased new from the dealership, Nissan of vacaville, on 9-16-2017. On 10-26-2017 while traveling at approximately 35 MPH the vehicle's forward emergency braking system (feb) suddenly and unexpectedly activated, bring the car to a full and complete stop in the middle of the road. The braking system disengaged within a few seconds and I was able to pull to the side of the road. There were no adverse conditions, obstructions, or vehicles within a dangerous distance to have caused the activation. On [XXX], my grandson and I went to the Nissan Dealership, 1777 N. Central Expressway, Richardson, TX 7080 to inquire about a safety recall of the key fob for a 2017 Nissan Rogue. My grandson was told that he could make an appointment for the dealership to insert a block in the fob so the key remains in the extended position. That position is very difficult to carry in a men's pants pocket. It is also a cheap remedy to the problem. As we were driving along the freeway to make a U-turn, the car stopped mid-turn, with oncoming traffic both behind him and in front. He tried to restart the car but it didn't start. Nissan rogue 2017 ; whistle noise transmitted to call recipient when using bluetooth hands-free phone system

The forward collision warning light comes on intermittently. The brakes just lock up for no reason, this has happened at least 3 times.

Sensors go off as if something is in front of me to possible emergency braking and cuts offs after beeping a couple times when I'm driving on an empty road. This has occurred multiple times and concerns me that it will eventually enact emergency braking. This occurs while I'm in motion on a city street going straight.

I was driving to work and it was about 3 degrees and sleeting. I couldn’t keep my windshield from icing over because the heater was not working right. I get to work, finally, and when I leave work that day my heater was not blowing hot air very much. I make it home, later go to warm up my car and the heater doesn’t work at all. It wouldn’t blow and air. The blower or motor was froze. I call Nissan and the guy in the service department tells me he’s had a lot of calls about that. He said when it warms up it should start working. Sure enough a day later when the temperature goes up a little the blower starts working. Now it does not blow very hot. It was very dangerous driving to work and my windshield freezing over. It had never done that before.

I took my car to the dealership for 5 times. They did sensor change two times. First time they did front sensor change. Second time they did steering sensor change. On 11/21/2020 at 5:30 pm, we had a car crash on a highway I-495 (capital beltway, md), we were in our car (I, my wife, 2 kids), we noticed a sudden stop by many cars ahead of us in the same lane we were in (left lane), I pressed my brake and been able to avoid reaching the car ahead of me but unfortunately, the car behind me was very fast with no control in their brake thus, she hit my car from the rear and pushed me to hit the front car. My 16 year old son was driving the 2017 nissan rogue on [XXX] to our home around 7:30 pm. He veered and right front of vehicle struck a curb. Immediately the passenger side airbags exploded. The two airbag curtain side bags and the front passenger seat side airbag all 3 deployed. First, the airbags should not have deployed and secondly, if this had been a collision with another vehicle, the specific airbags that deployed wouldn't have prevented injury. If there had been a passenger in the front seat, they could have been severely injured by the deployment. The car was towed to a nissan dealership who ran a diagnostic for 200.00. My car started jerking and having problems accelerating on the highway.

1. My forward collision warning goes in and out of service several times per month. 2. The CVT quit working at 78,000 miles. I was driving on I-70 between denver, co and the eisenhower tunnel when suddenly the rpms kicked up and the speed dropped. I don't know what gear I was in but I could only drive 40 MPH at 3500 -4500 rpms. There was a burning smell as well. The transmission seemed to reset when vehicle was turned off and then restarted and seemed to function properly. However, when taken for a test drive, the burning smell occurred again when climbing a hill and seemed to dissipate when traveling down hill and transmission is not functioning properly.
