Instrument panel/ Main display screen is delaminating. Causing inability to use navigation, seat heaters, UConnect, Apps or set any presets, media, radio or any other item from main display. Safety features from main menu are inaccessible, navigation is impeded at any moment and use of screen is unpredictable.

I have noticed the upper edge on my radio screen appears to the bubbling or separating from itself. It has recently become worse and causes "touches" on the screen. It makes calls and ends calls, switches the screen on and off, changes heating settings, disconnects devices, changes or cancels navigation. It makes it very difficult to drive as I cannot turn the screen off.

The infotainment screen started acting crazy and makes it difficult or impossible to operate the vehicle when misbehaving. The screen will lock up and not respond to any touch control. Powering the vehicle off and on at a traffic light does not fix the issue. Of course, this means I cannot operate the HVAC, navigation nor any other controls requiring the touch screen. The system will also switch on its own into different modes and selections... radio, seat and steering wheel heaters, volume, etc. The problem is frequent and persistent. The screen has also delaminated and is becoming harder to see/read. The malfunctioning of the screen is a big driver distraction taking away from attention on driving. Not being able to turn off or on the seat warmers nor the HVAC when malfunctioning ca

For my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee: the UConnect touchscreen which controls everything from the parking assist functions to navigation to climate is delaminating. As a result of the delaminating screen, the screen will malfunction while driving the vehicle causing it 1) become permanently "stuck" on the rear back up camera/parking assist mode or 2) override driver selections and prompt the driver to select/deselect other functions unrelated to driving causing dangerous distractions and impacting our ability to use the car and system safely.

The radio is glitching. It’s pressing buttons on the touch screen and I’m not touching the screen.

This concerns the malfunction of 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Uconnect 4C NAV with 8.4-Inch Display UAV Radio. The dealer removed the radio and inspected the problem. The touch screen bubbled/delaminated and the adhesive must of warmed up from the radio use and dripped down to the bottom of the radio affecting other components. The radio will change stations on it's own, navigation won't work. If i have my cell phone on it will make random calls and it will activate the SOS call. That happened 3 times and 2 times i was driving on the highway. That did take my attention away from driving. Now i have to make sure my phone is off when driving. I didn't renew my Uconnect subscription so i didn't get in trouble for that. My chrysler factory warranty denied a replacement. They told me the dealer said

Car radio gets stuck on screen that says "do you want to adjust the clock" . You cannot get into any of the apps that change the braking system or change the heat settings (like defrost) It just jumps back to do you want to adjust the clock. Sometimes the screen just goes off completely. Looks like the screen is delaminating. You can see the bubble underneath.

My 2018 Jeep GC has the delaminating screen It has 88,000 miles & I was told since I am not the first owner it’s not going to be fixed. Hard to believe I paid $30,000 for a vehicle with everything to be reduced to having nothing. The screen gets very hot & sticky stuff melts onto the console!! Once a screen comes up about clock settings then nothing can be accessed. The preset radio stations randomly & constantly change, the temperature goes from hot to cold, it switches from xm to regular radio, it saves favorite songs & artists, seat warmer comes on & you cannot turn it off or down, when starting the vehicle it randomly makes phone calls from the recent list or calls the first person in my contacts list. (She is used to it, I now have to text her if I really want to call her) it beeps c

At less than 30,000 miles, the Jeep Grand Cherokee's touch screen display malfunctioned and began acting on it's own. The primary issues that I have used and been impacted by are the system changes radio stations and inputs and changes destination points on the GPS, without selection from the driver or any occupant. These are both audio and visual changes that occur sporadically and are extremely distracting and call for the driver's attention to attempt to remedy the defect while driving. If the driver is following the navigation but then the screen changes to other displays and information, this conflict can easily cause a crash on top of being a nuisance. I have read several other similar complaints that seem to be going unaddressed by the manufacturer and are being identified as "d

I purchased the vehicle new and it now has 29500 miles on it. The screen for the navigation (which controls stereo, climate, phone, and everything else) started delaminating. When the screen starts doing phantom touches it is very distracting to the driver. Also, as the glue melts, it leaks onto the wiring of all the components under the screen including the AC, all the parking sensor and traction control off controls.

The Uconnect system has been delaminating for a while now. As such, there is "ghost pressing" of buttons on the screen. This, while driving, renders many important components of the vehicle unusable. There is a loud ding, then the reverse cameras go out if using them. Navigation ceases to work. Heating, cooling are also affected. I had not given much thought to how bad of a safety hazard this was until it started up on a 3 hour drive. The distractions of having most electric components go haywire while on the road is quite incredible. This is a well known issue so I am dumbfounded that it has not been recalled. I have had 3 quotes on the vehicle and all say that the unit needs to be replaced. Uconnect will not assist and Jeep wants full price for a fix. As such, I have drove my vehicle 1

Tl* the contact owns a 2018 Jeep grand cherokee. The contact stated that the radio/infotainment system controlled several functions in the vehicle, including heating and air. The contact stated that on several occasions, the infotainment system overheated and caused several of the electrical functions to become inoperable. Also, on occasion, the heat or air would activate independently and could not be turned off. The contact stated that the radio would then attempt to reboot until the battery discharged. The vehicle was taken to garden city Jeep (283 n franklin st, hempstead, ny 11550, (516) 336-4712) to be diagnosed and the dealer was able to duplicate the failure. The infotainment system was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was also taken to east hills Jeep and baysi

Unable to fill with fuel. Jeep is blaming the gas pumps. 4,000 miles on vehicle. Jeep has advised turning the pump handle which eliminates the fuel cut off and causes gas to spill. This is extremely unsafe.

About a month ago my Jeep's UConnect touch screen started to mess up. After doing further investigation, I have found out it is a common problem for this model and year of my Jeep and people are describing it as delamination and "ghost touch." This sounds exactly like what mine is doing. It has progressively gotten worse since it started and it is to the point where I can't even control anything because it is just randomly pressing on the screen. I believe this is a safety hazard because I now get very distracted when driving. It has even closed out of my directions when driving and I feel like I have a lack of control over safety features if I needed them. The problem has not been inspected by anyone yet but I have a video of the issue below. There are no error messages that pop up.

With less than 40k miles on my vehicle the leather dash on my Jeep has begun to delaminate. I'm concerned for the way this will impact the front passenger airbag to deploy in the event of a collision. Additionally this causes a viability issue due to the glare at certain times of the day when the sun is shining through the windshield and onto the dash.

The turn signals in the front headlights have a known wiring issue and stop working. The unit is all one part, non serviceable and you have to replace the entire headlight assembly at $2055. This causes a significant safety risk to everyone on the road as you are not able to notify your signals/turns. The problem has been reproduced by the dealer, I also have video evidence as well as several others who have complained on the online forums. It has been inspected by the dealer and confirmed it was broken. No notifications that it is broken but the dash board will intermittently flash that a bulb is out. First appeared a several months ago and has become more prevalent and frequent recently.

Hi, I’ve noticed with this Jeep and the two newer cars before it would have my dash lit up when my headlights weren’t on. This is giving me and other drivers of these cars the false impression that my headlights must be on. So many folks are driving with either just fog lights or no lights at all because their dash is lit up. Before this technology your dash would be dim and that way you knew you needed to turn your headlights on. This is becoming so common I see 1-2 every day home from work. Before this new technology it was maybe 1 a year. Please research or ask around about this since there doesn’t seem to be regulation around it. Thanks very much! Please see ALL the reports of the same exact issue. There is an issue with the 2018 Grand Cherokee Engines. This blown head gasket is now going to cost me $13,000 to get a new engine. Every report listed in this link IS THE SAME ISSUE. Please address the issues and reimburse owners of this Jeep having to replace their engines. A recall NHTSA 20V-699 was issued on our vehicle in March 2021. This is related to a Fire Hazard. The recall repair was done and component exchanged, now 3 years later and 35,000 miles we have exactly the same issue. A cracked EGR cooler, same as previous. My concern is that the replaced part is from the same batch as originally and as such they replaced a dangerous part with another dangerous part. The dealer and FCA refuses to replace the part as they say the recall has been closed. I my opinion this Fire Hazard still exists and repair was not done with a quality product, as it is exactly the same issue. as before.
