Backup camera is not standard in this vehicle. You have to go to the highest trim level to get one. This is against the 2018 regulations.

On Nissan motors usa website, the lower trims levels of the versa sedan do not include backup cameras! Wasn't that made mandatory!?

1) When at red light with car in drive and brake pedal pressed the car occasionally begins to roll forward and then the brakes suddenly depress even more. 2) All brake lights intermittently go out and if hit will come back on for an unknown time until u realize they're not working again. 3) I have already had to replace the fuel pump twice with only 60k on miles on the car

Tl* the contact owns a 2018 Nissan versa. The contact stated that the key failed to release from the ignition switch. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to antelope valley Nissan (451 auto center dr, palmdale, ca 93551) where it was diagnosed that the ignition needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and did not assist. The failure mileage was 45,000.

While driving the car just shuts off and I have to stop the car turn the ignition off and then back on, this has happened multiple times and the dealer said there are no recalls on rhus vehicle.

I bought this new vehicle and I am the first owner. Two months ago, the airbag light is on and the system said the front passenger seat airbag is disabled even though my wife is siting on the front passenger seat. It seems that the airbag system cannot detect someone is siting on the passenger seat. I took this Nissan versa to the dealership in Columbia, MO (Joe Machens Nissan), and the staff told me that the sensor under front passenger seat doesn't work, which means the airbag will not work if accident happen. It's very dangerous. The staff also told me that this is not under warranty. When I brought this new vehicle, the contract said in the first 35000 miles, it's "bumper to bumper" warranty, which covers everything in the vehicle. Now my vehicle has only 34000 miles but they refused

Tl* the contact owned a 2018 Nissan versa. While driving 55 MPH, the contact struck a deer on the front passenger side of the vehicle. The driver's air bag did not deploy upon impact. The contact stated that the air bag deployed after the crash when the vehicle was pulled over on the side of the road. A police report was not filed. There were no injuries sustained. A dealer was not made aware of the crash. The vehicle was destroyed, but not towed. The manufacturer was made aware of the crash and provided the contact with case number: [xxx]. Airbag light light came on. Toke it to get checked the first time was told old codes came up but everything look good that if the light came back on I would have to take to a Nissan dealership. One hour later light came on again. Took to a Nissan dealership and was told it showed old codes and wires were crinkled. They fixed them and everything was fine for two weeks. Light came back on. Toke it back to them. They checked it again same old codes came up again and was told it was suggested by Nissan that I needed airbag module but they didn't know if that would actually fix the problem but that was the first thing they had to do and it would cost a little over 1300 dollars. I don't feel I should fork out that kind of money for them to guess. Also know there is a recall on the airbags but wa

In a minor fender-bender, at around 5mp from a dead stop, the front driver bumper hit a car in front, causing a scratch to the other newer-model car. Besides the headlight, bumper, hood and fender damage, the frame holding the engine was bent, causing so much damage that the repair costs equaled the value of the car, so it was a total loss. Obviously, there is a defect in the design, materials or workmanship that LED to this much damage from a common minor incident.

My 2018 Nissan versa sv does not have a backup camera. Is this supposed to be upgraded by the dealer or manufacturer? Also it has a mechanical key system which I read was going to be recalled on oct 19, 2018 due to possible failure of the mechanical key system, is it true there is a recall being issued for this problem ?

I have a 5 speed manual transmission that has a defective throwout bearing clutch assembly that 'sticks' and does not engage or release in a smooth manner. Each shift is 'jerky' when the clutch pedal is released and the power transfer from gear to gear is is a sudden jerk instead of a smooth continuation of acceleration. Downshifting is not as jerky as up thru the gears shifting. My assumption is the folks who assembled the transmission and connected it to the engine did not line all parts in a straight line, so that the throwout bearing clutch plate mechanism is not perfectly balanced, along with the hydraulically controlled throw out bearing clutch plate mechanism forcing these items to over ride the off centered spinning mass to re-connect with a sudden jerk to complete the up shifted

Purchased New in January, 2019, with 10-20 miles on it. In February/March of 2020 it started lurching forward, giving rough idles. It would rumble, and you could hear the engine move around. This reported to Nissan dealership, the Tech. could not find code, simply reset computer. In 2021, I took it back to dealership of purchase, they could not diagnose any problems, they claimed to repair some component in rear break light area. The Service Advisor never sent the completed paperwork to my email. I asked for a copy on site, but he "had to review papers". The problems arised again in March/April of 2022. I asked same Service Advisor for a new transmission. The vehicle was still within 60,000 miles warranty He said he could not do it without code and Nissan Corp. Approval. Losi

The vehicle has difficulty slowing down while driving. And brakes seem not to stop the car (weakened brake pads) it felt like I was losing control of the car. Also the car would loose power when stationary at stop lights. This could be very dangerous if this occurred on a highway or while in motion. I hope they don't rent vehicle out until mechanical issues are solved

The vehicle will stop at any given moment. The vehicle stopped while almost entering the highway. Then when turned off and tried turning back on the engine wouldn't turn over. The problem auto repair shop is saying that there is no communication with the engine.
