2019 Dodge Journey owner complaints

The contact owns a 2019 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while attempting to reverse, the rearview camera screen was blank. No warning light was illuminated. Neither an independent mechanic nor a dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was relating the failure NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V552000 (BACK OVER APREVENTION); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2019 Dodge journey. While backing out of a parking spot, the vehicle's back up camera failed to alert the contact of another vehicle in the rear. As a result, the contact struck the parked vehicle. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 4,000.

My rearview camera display will show and image at times. When putting car in reverse ans or drive the screen sometimes is blank.

Windshield is coated with a plastic to prevent rock chips. The wipers have grooved the plastic. If the sun is shining and we were to try to clean the windshield it would be very hard to see the road. Seems like a manufacturing defect.

My back up camera was working one minute and than the next to completely stopped working!

I was traveling on a very busy highway going 50 miles an hour. I noticed a lot of congestion ahead so I had to lean over because the car has bad blind sites due to headrests on all seats. When I turned back there were many cars stopped dead in front of me. I slammed on the brakes but didn't even slow down. I rear ended the car in front of me. My air bag did not deploy nor did my seat belt even tighten. My entire body especially on the right side slammed the steering wheel. My knee slammed the column or something underneath the steering column. I have a permanent mark. I had a small punctured lung on the right side and my right shoulder and arm were injured which has now turned into rsd. Extremely painful . I had Chrysler test it but will only send me an email saying no problems. No report.

There were no air bags deployed upon impact. The contact mentioned that the owner's manual had verbiage that contradicted that air bags do not deploy when involved in rear-end collisions. Ever time I drive my airbag light will come on and stay on for 5-10 mins then go off for 5-10 mins then come back on. Something is seriously going on with my cars air bags

The cover for the seat belt and airbag on the front passenger seat have become disconnected without any incident causing such. Possibly not allowing the seat belt or airbag to function properly. Also the airbag sensor & seatbelt sensor for this seat stopped working at the same time the cover became un attached to the frame. It makes the seatbelt very hard to use and not sure it would function properly in a wreck not so I think the airbag would be able to deploy properly as the sensor is also not working. I was told this was not covered under my warranty.

The back up camera started to go in and out suddenly. Then all of sudden I started to get an upside down imade with red and green stripes and with stripe at the top. I saw the journey up to 2018 has a recall for this issue but mine is a 2019 and this just randomly started on 12/08/2022.

My windows won’t open up or close also my passenger door is the only one that can open and close the rest of the doors. My cruise control isn’t working, the back up camera isn’t working at all

Rear camera only turns on 30% of the time. The camera is in the rear view mirror and when it doesn’t work it puts a black screen in the rear view mirror putting many lives in danger.

Transmission sporadically clunks from reverse to drive. Dealer replaced all motor mounts. Still does it.

Transmission bang when taking of from a stop

Seat belt beeper stoped working. Seat belt gets stuck out. Now cut the seat belt holder thing. Does not protect. Does not lock does not hold back
