Front impact warning light comes on and affects the cruise control and tries to stop without anything in front of car. This car only has 4200 miles and has been in shop 5 fives for the same thing and all Nissan dealership does is clear code, adjust sensors and/or calibrate sensors but never changes out sensors. There is already several class action lawsuits with Nissan on front sensor and this malfunction. This is clearly a hazard driving the car and is a safety issue to drive since this car can try to stop when nothing is in front of car.

The first time the errors (front collision, traction control/slippery road) happened, I was driving my 2019 Nissan Kicks on a dry night in October (10/23). I was going down a medium sized hill with my breaks slightly engaged, about to run into my apartment complex. There was no one in front of me. Lights lit up with an error that said 'Malfunction: See Owner's Manual.' When I went to back into my parking place, it was like I was trying to dry with my parking break engaged--the car was fighting me for every inch. Turned the car off, left it over night; came back in the morning, no more errors. Drove normally. My 2019 Nissan Kicks experienced a sudden and dangerous CVT transmission failure. The vehicle began jerking, struggled to accelerate, and at times would not move forward when pressing the gas. The check engine light came on during these incidents. The car also revs without engaging properly and loses power unexpectedly, creating a serious hazard when merging into traffic or crossing intersections. This appears to be a widespread issue affecting Nissan CVT units. The sudden loss of acceleration and unpredictable behavior create a significant safety risk for myself and other drivers. Nissan has denied goodwill assistance for the repair, even though this failure occurred under normal driving conditions. I am submitting this complaint for safety review due to the potential risk of collision.

Driving like normal and the car ahead of me slammed on their brakes to avoid a wreck I slammed on mine to prevent this afterward traffic started moving on and the collision and impact sensor came on but I didn't hit anything. I have looked at the manual and it will not tell the owner me how to get the crash light to go off. Even online you can find nothing about how to reset or turn off the alert. The other alert is for the assisted braking feature it didn't work but the light came on but will not go off and there are no instructions on how to reset it or take it off. Not even the factory reset or unplugging the battery will make it go off. I bought an extended warranty and the dealer I purchased the kicks from said they would fix the error but they will charge me to do so which I

The transmission will rumble/grind on take off from a stopped position. The transmission also has a hard time changing gears when you get to the 3rd gear going about 35 - 40 MPH and randomly slipping rpms. This has happened multiple times within the last five weeks (10/29/2021).

The ABS control Module is working intermittently. Nissan states that they have a problem with this so much that there is a backorder on the item. The replacement cost from the manufacturer is between $1500 and $2000.

While I was driving, my vehicle’s Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) suddenly stopped working. At the same time, the Automatic Emergency Braking / Forward Emergency Braking (AEB/FEB) warning light turned on. While the vehicle was in motion, warning messages appeared on the dashboard, including: “Unavailable: Front Radar Obstruction,” and/or “Forward Driving Aids Temporarily Disabled – Front Sensor Blocked. See Owner’s Manual.” These warnings appeared even though there was no visible obstruction to the front radar sensor. The sudden loss of Intelligent Cruise Control and forward safety features while I was driving reduced my ability to rely on these systems to help maintain a safe following distance. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed, and the dealer determined that the ABS module needed to be replaced; however, the part was on a national backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000.

While I was driving, I pressed the brake pedal. As soon as I applied the brakes, the vehicle abruptly screeched to a halt in a manner that felt abnormal and uncontrollable. Immediately after this sudden stop, the vehicle lost stability. It slid sideways, causing it to rotate and end up facing in a different direction than the one I had been traveling.

Transmission Issue - The CVT transmission slips during acceleration and causes the car to lose power. It hesitates, revs high, and sometimes jerks when slowing or speeding up. This creates unsafe driving conditions. Electrical Issue -The electronics intermittently shut off, screen goes black, and warning lights appear. These issues occur while driving and affect vehicle control. It’s a safety hazard -These failures happen unexpectedly in traffic and increase the risk of an accident. Often the Problems happens occurs several times per week and happens at speeds between 20–45 mph. Started around 60,000 miles. The CVT transmission slips during acceleration and causes the car to lose power. The RPMs surge, the vehicle hesitates, and there is a jerking or shuddering sensation when speeding up

Symptoms: *Automatic Emergency Braking (3 occasions) *Slip Indicator (3 occasions) *Check Engine -Code P0101 (Been on 4 weeks so far) Road Condition: *Dry sunny days AEB and Slip Indicator lights randomly came on 3 different times. On the 3rd time, Check Engine light came on together and it's been on ever since. AEB and Slip lights go away after the car is turned off. Having AEB and Slip lights on makes the car drive like it is on the lower gear and the engine shut off at every red light. I started noticing the smell of excess gasoline fume especially when the car is moving but not accelerating, meaning that when my foot is off the gas pedal. Later that day the contact went to the vehicle and noticed that the turn signal lights were flashing with an abnormal clicking sound. The contact attempted to start the vehicle, but the vehicle would not start. The contact removed and replaced the battery terminals however, the vehicle still failed to start-up. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the mobilizer module was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Kicks. The contact stated that while driving at slow speeds, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle stalled. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle immediately hesitated while accelerating. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the Mass Air Flow Sensor was faulty and needed to be replaced. The sensor was replaced, but the failure persisted. The vehicle was later taken to the local Nissan dealer but was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 67,736.

Transmission has been iffy. Randomly slipping rpms. Driving down the highway everything shut off and it stopped in the middle of the road multiple cars narrowly missing me. I could have died because of a broken transmission! Only four months old bought it brand new only 5k miles on it. This is not okay! This could have killed me and people around me! Unacceptable!

The Motor/engine consumes excess oil creating a burnt smell and a lot of whitesmoke coming out of the muffler. The vehicle is stalling constantly and won’t accelerate properly while driving. Creating an unsafe environment for me and those driving near me. I have repair and install new piece but non of them would fix the problem. I took it to the dealer and they didn’t find the problem. I have heard of a lot of people having the same issue with this model of vehicle.

I was driving my car on the freeway approximately going 55mph, then I wanted to break slightly, but I was unable too, because my car kept accelerating. It didnt want to stop. Luckily there wasnt cars next me. I managed to pull my emergency break up and slam on my breaks again. Car got towed to dealership they said they couldnt find an issue. This happened 10/21/22. And it happened to me again 10/29 except I was off the freeway. Same problem my car kept accelerating, its almost as it was stuck. I got my car towed again to dealership. I am currently waiting to see what they tell me. This has never happened to me. I am not a new driver and I bought my car new in 2019. It happen twice within a short period of time. I am very concerned and do not feel safe with my vehicle.
