Y78 Recall. The recall for the CP4 pump has been issued. Ive been on the dealership waitlist since the recall became available. My truck began to have rough idling and surging which it never had before. I called the dealer to ask a timeframe for when the recall would be completed, they advised me that they were no longer receiving pumps for the recall and had not received any in a few months. The lady in service advised me if I was that concerned for pump failure to try and source a pump conversion kit myself and submit for reimbursement afterwards (which I did). I submitted copies of receipts from both the retailer I ordered from as well as credit card statements showing proof of purchase which FCA required per their email. However, FCA has denied my request for reimbursement of parts. I h

I was driving on interstate 270 nb when all of sudden the vehicle started shaking and lost power. I had to stop in the middle of the interstate and was towed to the exit by the highway response team. Towed the vehicle to the dealership and was told the the fuel system has to be replaced.
As I was preparing to travel for the holidays comíng up, I was traveling to Texas to see family. I was driving around 65 mph when suddenly the truck started jerking and slowing down when the gas pedal would not give it power. The car behind slammed the brakes and in order to avoid hitting me had to went the the side of the highway. Before coming to a complete stop the truck a 2020 ram 3500 shut off and will not come off. The tow truck was able to scan the truck and the codes are for low fuel pressure and fuel pump. This was a very scary situation because I’m with all my family and not only did I put them in danger by this truck failing with out a notice of any kind but also put others like the vehicle behind in danger because the truck failed. I have look up and this seems to be a common i
I was on my way home from the local RAM Dealer last night, where I wanted to sell my truck (after inspecting it, they offered me $82K for it), when, spontaneously, my truck started to smoke from under the hood and literally burst into flames! I had to pull over and jump out to avoid being burned alive! I am so traumatized. I'm attempting to tow what's left of this truck to the dealer this morning. I hope FCA will take responsibility for this!
After normal operation, I shut off the vehicle, and within seconds it caught fire without any external cause. Our insurance company and Look Larson Dodge investigated the incident over approximately 3½ weeks but could not determine a definitive cause of the fire.
I was towing my 5th wheel trailer from rancho cucamonga to san diego. When I was driving on I-15, almost nearby exit 15. Suddenly there is a error on the screen , said 'exhaust brake system failed , ask me go to dealer'. Then I found there is no power anymore . I tried to press the pedal again , still no power. Then I rolled over to the side of the freeway. When the speed came down to about 15mph, the engine stopped. Then I pooled over , and tried to restart it . Nothing happened. I can hear it trying to start, but no start anymore. Then I called roadside department to tow my truck and trailer away . It took 6 hours to find the tow company, but still didn't come. Then I paid the tow company, then they came to save me and tow my truck to the dealer.

This Laramie trim level truck has an electronic drop tailgate with a button to drop the tailgate on the overhead console and one on the key fob. The tailgate on my truck was closed during my pre-trip and entering the vehicle. I had a trailer hooked to the receiver hitch and drove ten miles before realizing the tailgate was now in the down position and caused significant damage to the tailgate because the tailgate made contact with the trailer. With the electronic release tailgate on this particular year truck there is not a warning message alerting the driver that the tailgate is ajar. There is such an alert on newer models (2021-2022) I went to a local dealership to check. I’m sure the tailgate drop button somehow was pressed on the key fob while in my pocket entering the truck. But I did
Check engine light turned on in my 2020 dodge ram 3500, I took the truck back to the dealership. According to them the Grid Heater Relay needs to be replaced & the truck could have caught on fire if we would have kept driving like that. I have done some research and saw that there has been a recall on that same part for the 2021-2023. Could it be possible the 2020 were defective also, this is a major safety concern and should be looked into. I also don’t believe the customer should be responsible for paying for this issue to be fixed when it was my family’s safety that was jeopardized.
On 12/4/23, at 6:37 am PST, we initiated remote start via the key fob. At 6:40 am pst, a flash and fire erupted from under the hood of the truck. We immediately worked to control the fire using extinguishers and garden hoses until the fire department arrived a few minutes later. They worked to put the fire out that engulfed the engine compartment and then worked to get the hood open to finish putting the fire out. The fire didn’t fully go out until the battery cables were cut.

While leaving the veterinary office parking lot there is a short steep hill. As I started up the hill slowly as there are pedestrians around. About halfway up my truck starts rolling backwards as if the transmission has shifted into neutral I hit the brakes to stop and then start out again. This has happened about 5 times in the same place since I have owned the truck and one other place that also was a short steep driveway. I did take the truck to the dealership and they could not recreate the problem but they did do an update to the TCM. So far no problems.

The TPMS system on my new 2020 Ram 3500 has suffered repeated failures since it was purchased new. The dealership has replaced all 6 sensors (dually) in an effort to fix the issue, no no success. Now, the service writer seems to have accepted the problem as unsolvable. Quick research on social media, and statements made to me by my local service writer lead me to believe this is not an isolated issue. The 2020 rams seem to all suffer this com loss to some extent. As, this is now a mandated safety feature under the tread act, I'm asking for your assistance. Specifically for my truck, the truck lost communication with one sensor on the day after I bought the truck. Over the course of the next month, it lost and occasionally regained, communication with several of the sensors. But, it never
