Loss of engine power when transmission shifts from 3rd gear to 2nd gear. Truck will unexpectedly loose ability to accelerate, typically until shift to 1st or 3rd gear occurs. Return of power can cause vehicle to accelerate rapidly and unexpectedly. Malfunctions typically happens in parking lots and while yielding to make a turn, but also happens in stop and go traffic. Concerned of loss of acceleration while pulling out in traffic. No warning lamps or error codes when failure occurs. I've been working with the dealer to resolve for 1 year with nothing done. After 11 months the dealer acknowledged there is an issue, but is unsure of cause or how to repair. Now recommending an entire transmission replacement and not sure if that will resolve.

Dealer has now had my car for almost 60 days with no resolution Manufacturer Recall Number23S65 NHTSA Recall Number23V896 My asset is basically frozen at this point with zero ETA and any care from FORD. I am willing to trade it in at this point but can’t even do that.
The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving 40 MPH, the contact heard an abnormally loud booming sound. The contact pulled over to the right side of the road, exited the vehicle. Upon inspecting underneath the vehicle, the contact noticed that the driveshaft was fractured and damaged. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on several different occasions. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that the heat shield had rubbed on the driveshaft, and the driveshaft needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V986000(Power Train, Structure); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 74,00
The transmission was slipping in 2nd and 10th gear. This was confirmed by the dealer. A full transmission had to be replaced at 66,000 miles. The vehicle had an excellent maintenance record and well kept. Ford did pay half of the cost but I still ended up spending $6k out of pocket and my vehicle was in the shop for 27 days.
Rear axle failed while driving. Had vehicle towed to Malloy Ford in Winchester, VA. They replaced the failed components, at no cost. When I asked about reimbursement for towing, they were not able to assist me in filing my claim for towing reimbursement. I contacted FORD Customer Service, who said they only way they may help me is if I return the vehicle to Ford Service (must be in their possession) and have Ford Service contact them directly and ask for "reimbursement assistance" by 16 Jan. However, stated there is absolutely no guarantee they will reimburse towing. Are you able to assist me? The towing cost was $185.40
Description of Incident: The vehicle exhibits a severe and unpredictable transmission "shudder," "stutter," and hesitation during gear synchronization, specifically during 1st–3rd and 8th–10th gear transitions. This manifest as a violent "shaking" sensation and a loss of momentary acceleration while merging into high-speed traffic. This issue was first reported to an authorized Ford dealership on December 17, 2024. At that time, the vehicle exhibited harsh shifting and "shuddering" consistent with Ford Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 22-2428. Despite being under a 150,000-mile service contract, the dealer misdiagnosed the mechanical transmission defect as an engine misfire, resulting in ineffective repairs. The defect has persisted and worsened. The internal failure has been identified

There is a known problem with the DRLs burning out, which poses a safety issue. Many people have had this problem causing an expensive repair out of warranty. The entire headlamp assembly has to be replaced.
It started with the loss of Sirius, then intermittently maps, and now the radio is gone and my display on my dash goes black and restarts. I will be driving down the road (interstate) and all of my dash disappears. No speedometer at all. The APIM is out and Ford has no APIM's available. I took it to local Ford and they confirmed the APIM was out. It controls the whole truck and weird things have happened. Locks, seating changing, steering wheel changes. There is a case opened with Ford but apparently no timeline on fix.
There has been an issue with front LED lights where they go out. It’s an electrical issue where my truck had both replaced and still in warranty this caused almost hit accidents a night. Many vehicles warned me by flashing the high beams. Also another issue is the transmission where it creates a huge jerk on the transmission causing a change in shift. Almost had an accident caused by it. No police involved and no accidents.
Day running lights vertical ones seem to be going out on the F150 and recently mine too.

I was traveling 47 mph and suddenly the parking brake was activated, causing the car to brake instantly. Luckily, no one was behind me and luckily it did not cause an accident. There were no lights on the dashboard. I took it to the Ford dealer to have it inspected and they gave me an appointment for 8 days later and let me go home knowing that I could not drive it since I almost caused an accident.

Recall #25S75 (Low pressure fuel pump failure) was issued in July of 2025 and has still not been resolved as of this date (12/23/25). I am filing a formal complaint with NHTSA about Ford Motor Company not resolving this issue in a timely manner. This appears to be a pattern with FMC regarding recalls, two previous of which took almost a year to remedy.

DRL lights are dead after three years of ownership. Dealer wants $1600 per light assembly to repair them. Cannot afford to repair them. makes the truck less visible day and night.
Cluster will randomly shut off causing all gauges to act like the vehicle isn't on. Then it will turn back on. I notice that transmission temp gauge will be the only gauge that wouldn't go back to normal. It will take several minutes for gauge to reset. The risk is not knowing your speed and causing a distraction to what is happening while driving. No dealer could redo the problem.
visibility 1 complaint shown
The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V842000 (Visibility) and the vehicle was repaired; however, prior to the repair, the windshield wipers operated erratically, damaging the wiper blades and left a 2-inch streak across the windshield, causing an issue with visibility while driving. The vehicle was diagnosed but was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact stated that the wiper blades were not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V842000 (Visibility) repair. The failure mileage was 54,556.

EXTREMELY DANGEROUS DOOR CLOSING FAILURE. Both front door lock actuators malfunction below 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Rear doors of the crew cab are unaffected. The moving parts of the mechanism are not frozen and there is no water in the system. The lock actuator will not engage the clamp/pin mechanism to hold the door closed, even though the movable parts are freely moving. this happens whenever the temperature is below 10 degrees. In order to get out of the car you need to exit the rear door or climb out the window. Once the door does open, it will not securely latch in position. The Certified Ford dealership informed me that this is a "known problem" with the F150 and there is no known repair.
