Cabin exhaust smell = leaking catalytic converter. 4 months and 5 trips for a diagnosis/solution. Car was smelling like exhaust in the cabin. Improved with air recirculation button ON. Worse in the AM, especially with remote start on cold mornings, and when stopped/parked. Told there was no smell, changed cabin filters / ac deodorizer ($200 out of pocket), “ford doesn’t have any other complaints on exhaust smell in the cabin”, “could not replicate”. After multiple forum searches/my own research, and insisting the catalytic converter was the problem, they agreed to let me leave it overnight for a cold start in the AM. Finally diagnosed with leaking catalytic converter. They replaced it and now the smell is completely gone. There was also a small rattle on acceleration, near the gas pedal, l

Recurring Safety Defect: Powertrain Cooling System Failure causing Engine Overheating, Coolant Intrusion, and Loss of Motive Power. The vehicle has experienced three catastrophic cooling system failures within a 9-month period, posing a crash and fire risk. Incident 1 (February 2025): Water pump failure caused significant coolant loss. Diagnosed and repaired by authorized dealer under warranty. Incident 2 (June 2025): Vehicle leaked coolant and emitted visible smoke and burning odors from the exhaust. Dealer diagnosed internal turbocharger failure resulting in coolant intrusion into the engine and exhaust system. The catalytic converter was damaged by coolant burn-off and required replacement. This failure kept the vehicle out of service for 38 days. Incident 3 (November 2025): The veh

The brakes are constantly making a horrible noise in reverse. I’ve been to two dealerships to try and have this fixed. I’ve also call ford motor co multiple times and just get run around. The dealership can’t figure out what’s causing it it’s been in at least 10times and still no fix it’s a safety issue and I refuse to transport my grandbabies in it. The dealership will call ford and ford has no idea either how to fix it I’ve asked for a refund and was denied. I am an unhappy ford owner and I can’t get ford to help me

Only in reverse, the brakes make a foghorn noise. I’m aware that other 2022 bronco sports were covered under a recall for this exact issue, but mine has not. I’m concerned about the safety and stoppage time for my car. This is not a normal squeal or grinding of worn brake pads.

Every time road conditions are wet (rain, snow) the drive lane module gets wet and will disable entire transmission and several error codes come up stating power train failure. Hill start assist is disabled, 4wd is disabled, pre-collision assist is disabled and the Bronco Sport's drive modes for various road conditions are also disabled. Service engine soon light came on along with several messages of power train failure appeared in Ford pass app. First appeared last year and happened once during a major snowstorm and now reappearing one week ago during the first major snowfall for the area and had continued since.

I am reporting a premature transmission failure on my 2022 Ford Bronco at approximately 85,000 miles. The vehicle required a full transmission replacement after experiencing internal transmission failure described by a Ford service manager as “something came apart inside the transmission.” The dealership quoted $13,000 for transmission replacement. Independent transmission specialists quoted approximately half that amount, indicating the dealership pricing is inflated. A major drivetrain failure at this mileage is abnormal and suggests a manufacturing defect. This issue renders the vehicle unsafe and unreliable and occurred far earlier than the expected life of a transmission. I am concerned this represents a systemic defect in Ford Bronco transmissions and request this complaint be doc

Transmission failed, Ford diagnosed it as needing the torque converter replaced, however, after this was fixed at a transmission shop, the problem persisted and that mechanic said the transmission needs to be rebuilt. My safety was out at risk when my vehicle stalled at an intersection and would not accelerate. Also, on two occasions, when the vehicle was put into reverse, it jerked forward and did not go backwards. Luckily nothing was hit in front of my vehicle, although it could have due to being in a parking spot when theirs happened. Ford confirmed an issue on 11/3/25 and another independent mechanic replaced the converter, but stayed the transmission needs to be rebuilt after that did not correct the problem. He states that the torque converter would not cause the reverse issues.

I am dealing with the smell of gasoline/fumes inside the car while it is not moving, especially on a cold start. The vehicle spent 3 business days at the dealer. The dealer confirmed the smell, but were unable to identify it. I have been attempting to work with Ford for over a week, but the agent assigned to my case will not respond to me, and has not done anything. I am stuck driving the vehicle with the fumes in the car. The car was bought brand new in February, 2023 and has 50,000 miles on it

My moonroof exploded unexpectedly. I was traveling on a 4-lane highway, approximately 60mph. No other cars nearby, no overpasses, no pedestrians anywhere along. Suddenly, it sounded like a shotgun went off inside the vehicle. I pulled over to inspect the vehicle and discovered that the moonroof had broken around the entire perimeter of the glass. I took photos of the moonroof, then removed the broken glass enough to be able to drive directly to the dealership. They have inspected the vehicle, but are refusing to cover the issue under warranty. The vehicle is available for inspection. My safety, and the safety of others, was put at risk because: - the sound of the explosion could have caused me to wreck or to wreck into others - the glass from the moonroof could have fallen on me or ot

The car's OBD (on board diagnostic) is not functional. This means that if a check engine light comes on it's impossible for the mechanic to know why. This means the car can never complete a state inspection and more seriously if there's an electrical problem, could result in a fire. I took the car to a Ford dealership and they verbally told me that lots of Ford cars are having this problem and that it is a manufacturing problem, not a specific problem only with my car. They want anywhere from $1600 - $4000 to repair/reprogram the OBD. They told me that they've done this "repair" for many customers and it's a manufacturing problem. In my opinion this should be a recall, not a repair customers have to pay for, most importantly because it could be dangerous bc mechanics can't access the

I was driving on the highway, when I got a small crack in the windshield on the passenger side. When I was able to stop and inspect the vehicle, there a crack about an inch long. A few hours later after I returned home, I went to retrieve something from the car and noticed the crack had spread to about 6 inches long. I called Ford customer service to make a complaint. I called the dealership a couple of days later and the service department informed it would not be covered under warranty if there is any indication it is something other than a stress fracture. They advised I should file it on my insurance. There is a very tiny chip in the windshield. I am concerned because there are many complaints of cracks in the windshield. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. A
