The hood has fluttered since I bought the car on 7/29/21. I brought the issue to the dealership's attention, but they denied hearing any other complaints. While I was waiting at the dealership for an oil change, I was talking to other outlander owners, and they expressed the same concern. I also have an issue with the front Collison senor. Since day one, the sensor will disengage in direct sunlight, fog, and rain, making the feature useless. Once again, when brought up to the dealership, I was informed the case this was a one-off and they had not heard or seen any issues reported to Mitsubishi. And as of today, it appears my alternator has gone out.

The hood shakes when driving above 40MPH, it increases intensity as you drive faster, feeling like it will come unlatched, resulting in an accident. Is there going to be a recall for this?
This model of vehicle (2022) has a known hood flutter that cannot be repaired. It's possible the hood latch could fail and the hood will fly up/open while the vehicle is in motion. My vehicle registration acknowledges a recall but it is not for the hood flutter. I've done research and it is identified on the internet that dealerships know this hood issue exist.
Since May 2023, I've been to two different dealerships with the same issue. It started with a whistling sound form air vents, buring smell, increased has consumption, loss of power going up hill, gas smell inside cabin, no air, loud noise from right side of car under hood, and engine malfunction warning. Finally, 12/12/23 the car, without warning, instantly stalled, shut-off in traffic. Several vehicles behind me had to swerve to avoid rear end collision at it was it happened in front of a school with heavy traffic! The car would not restart and had to be towed to dealership. I contacted Mitsubishi corporate office in Aug/Sept, and was assigned Bernedette, who, constantly confused and incoherent, dismissed my complaints as dealerships wouldn't fix bc Mitsubishi wouldn't reimburse. She st
The hood latch is faulty. It’s a known problem for the 22 outlander. When the car drives the hood shakes as if it will lift up while driving. It has been almost a year of ownership and Mitsubishi has yet to fix this issue.
Since having purchased the vehicle in October 2021, the hood flutters/vibrates whenever the vehicle is being driven at speeds of 60MPH or more. The faster the vehicle drives, the more violently the hood flutters/vibrates. We have taken it to the dealer for repair, and they informed us that Mitsubishi is aware of the issue but they have yet to issue repair or do a recall. After speaking with Mitsubishi Corporate in the US, they said they are not planning to do a recall or offer a timeframe for a repair, but fully admitted to being aware of the issue, After doing research online, I found that many if not most of the 2022 Outlanders have this very serious issue. Not only is it scary driving with the hood vibrating, but it will cause unnecessary wear and tear on the vehicle and possibly cause
The hood flutters violently while driving. The manufacturer has already issued a TSB to try to fix the issue but it has not. There are hundreds if not thousands of complaints online about this issue. I’m afraid that the hood may fly up while driving.
The hood flutters at any speed or if u hit a bump to the point it is not safe.
When driving on highway you the hood of the car fluttering and vibrating. It is very scary and I always feel like the hood is coming off.
When driving at freeway speeds in windy condition, the hood shakes and flexes in a frightening manner, suggesting that the hood could be flying open at any moment. This is visible and upsetting from a driver or passenger viewpoint. My first impression was that the hood was made of too thin metal and that certain wind dynamics at highway speeds causes this shocking flexing and shaking. This was a brand new vehicle with under 100 miles on it. The next day I returned the vehicle to the dealer and they returned my down payment check that I had given then two days earlier, thus cancelling the deal. It seems they had heard of this issue before.
The vehicles hood shakes and flutters when traveling above approximately 45mph and gets worse the faster vehicle travels. I fear this is causing excess wear on the hood latch and the hood will eventually fly up causing driver to be unable to see. Been like this since new. Has been back go dealership twice with no fix.

Rear view camera goes dark while backing up.
Driver side mirror does not always open back up when unlocking the car. Have to close the mirrors and then open them again. Cruise control will hard stop when a vehicle comes in front and takes too long to speed back up after car is no longer in front. Dangerous on high speed highways. You have to turn off cruise control when this happens to get back up to speed. Hood replacement was requested a year ago. Still waiting and still nervous driving it. Backup camera still turns off in reverse. You have to wait for it to come back on before continuing reversing. So many problems from day one. If I could, I'd get rid of this.
At higher speeds 55+ the hood of the car flexes and moves violently as if it were not completely latched. Upon further inspection once I stopped the hood was properly latched.
It sounds like its coming on and shutting off the fuel pump
Received recall for infotainment. A-IVD screen may appear blank while in reverse. I did not have a problem with A-IVD screen in reverse going blank. But, after doing recall, now my screen goes out for about 3sec. ( Periodically not all time). Would advise if no problem with A-IVD don’t do recall!!! Now after contacting Mitsubishi they are aware of this happening to units with no problem. Ask to return to original software was told they will get back, well haven’t heard a thing!

I have a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander that I purchased July 26, 2023, from Ciocca Subaru of Philadelphia with a 100,000 mile/24-Month Dealership Warranty, an Extended Warranty in addition to the Manufacturer's Warranty, Ciocca Dealership Promise Warranty, Tire Warranty , Service, and Collision Care Program Warranties. The control arm broke as I was coasting in the parking lot of the supermarket on Wednesday, November 22nd, right before Thanksgiving. I was told on Friday by the Ciocca Subaru Dealer of purchase that the repairs had to be completed at a Mitsubishi Dealer, and told that it would not be covered in any of the warranties. Previous Mitsubishi Outlander's have had faulty/recalled control arms also. The vehicle was towed to Montgomeryville Mitsubishi at 1011 Bethlehem Pike, Montgom
