Tire rod recall. My vehicle has been vibrating and there is a knocking sound coming from under the car for over 1 year. Vehicle was inspected by Nissan dealership who notified me there was no vibration during test drive. Dealership says that the tire rod was not bent, so they could not replace the tire rod. Nissan closed the recall on my vehicle however, vibration/knocking sound continue. I contacted Nissan consumer affairs and was notified that they could not replace the tire rod and that the case for my vehicle could not be reopened even if I get a second opinion.

While driving down the highway, the steering wheel moves slightly, almost feels like I am slipping on ice. The steering wheel gives play at that movement, you have to jerk the wheel back to keep the car driving straight. I have 13, 500 miles on the car. It just started about 2 weeks ago. I called the dealer for an inspection, they tell me no recalls on car and its my imagination. I do not want to get a high invoice for them to check this out.

Per nhsta recall no. 23v-581, it states that the manufacturer may have installed a cheap, weak or substandard tie rods. As a result, the steering wheel may be off center and experience vibration which is exactly my problem. I brought to a dealership and they were able to replace the defective tie rods. However, the vibration in my steering wheel remains. I believe that overtime, the substandard tie rods originally installed by the manufacturer may have affected and/or damaged all other components related to steering. If t

Window child locks randomly locks windows in position. There's no reason for it to lock them. I've never tried to engage them on purpose since I have no children. Sometimes pushing the child lock hard several times will allow them to unlock but it may lock in that position so I really can't use 3 windows.

Problem still present and worse, than prior to reprogram. Cruise control slows vehicle on slight curve, no warning for drivers being no brake lights when it slows. Vehicle idles low when driving and RPMs rev at stops, then almost stalling. When applying the break the vehicle lunges forward. When accelerating vehicle doesn’t want to move. Near misses when making left turns and in heavy traffic. Repeating and ongoing issue. Steering wheel goes limp and fails to respond.
seatbelts 1 complaint shown
Passenger seatbelt is hard to use and difficult to insert, due to the it resting below the seat itself. It is also difficult to release because it is lower than the seat and close close to the center console.
brakes 1 complaint shown
Parking brake fails to engage the first few times and when attempting to engage it the rpms rev high. System seems confused and thinks it’s still driving hence the difficulty for the brake to be applied (mostly on an incline). In other instances the parking brake disengages on its own after the vehicle is turned off. Something isn’t right. Dealership can’t duplicate because no incline exists.
cruise control 1 complaint shown
While cruise control is on (not adaptive cruise), the slightest turn in the steering wheel causes the vehicle to slow down. Vehicle slows on a small curve up to 5mph, since the brake isn’t being applied anyone approaching from behind may not adjust quickly.

The front passenger headlight started to go in and out. After a while it started to burn the connector. Also the back passenger side taillight is out too. The plugs in the car also make the speakers turn scratchy and sometimes the shifter would have some trouble going into gear. I took it to a Nissan dealership and they said that the electrical recall is vin number specifically but it’s happening to my car.
