2023 Dodge Charger owner complaints

I purchased my 2023 Dodge Charger Scatpack 392 on July 22, 2024 and a week later I began to notice that each time I would backup and then shift into drive. There would be a 3 to 4 second delay in the transmission engaging with the drive shaft and when contact was made there's a hard thump that's felt throughout the car. I returned to the dealership and made a complaint about the issue I was having with the transmission and a transmission re-tune was done according to the service technician, but the problem is still persistent. I took it back to the dealership and was told by the service manager that Dodge is aware of the issue customers are having with the transmissions and have stated that the issue is due to fluid fiction and it's normal for the transmissions to respond that way. since the purchase of my vehicle one year ago, my vehicle has consistently had codes that listed output to each headlamp, can bus code, it has also had engine control module code. This started a year ago and as of yesterday it still had codes. The code also include telematics and my infotainment system says fatal error. I have filed multiple complaints withFCA US LLC and have gone to the dealership multiple dealerships many of times. THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED IT FROM HAS BASICALLY REFUSED TO FIX IT EVEN THOUGH IT’S UNDER WARRANTY. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE HIGH VOLTAGE AND THE COMMUNICATIONS IN THE VEHICLE ALONG WITH THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE. IT SEEMS NO ONE SYSTEM SHOWS. The vehicle has experienced repeated failures associated with diagnostic trouble code P06DD. When the condition occurs, the vehicle is unable to exceed approximately 3,500 RPM and experiences engine stalling and loss of power while driving. The issue is intermittent but has occurred repeatedly. The vehicle has been presented to authorized Dodge/Stellantis dealerships on five separate occasions for diagnosis and repair. The oil pump was previously replaced for this issue at approximately 5,000 miles, yet the condition continues to recur. Most recently, the dealership advised that the issue was resolved and returned the vehicle to me. Forward collision warning: activates randomly. I had to decrease the warning sensitivity to near to reduce the rate at which I was receiving false alarms. Powertrain: noticeable delay after shifting down when using paddle shifters in manual mode. Electrical: The in dash audio radio station seeks down without user input.

While driving at highway speeds, my sunroof suddenly imploded without any apparent impact from a rock or other debris.

Back-up camera: vehicle equipped with an analog camera which at times will not clearly display the view to the rear of the vehicle. Had the camera looked at by the selling dealer who advised that the issue was due to the quality and design of the camera the rear view under certain lighting conditions (in daylight) displayed a washed out display. I have other vehicles with back-up cameras that do not display this condition.

My 2023 Dodge Charger SXT with approximately 26,000 miles has experienced multiple incidents where, while turning into traffic or accelerating from a stop, the vehicle loses the ability to continue driving and displays a message instructing me to shift into Park and then Drive. Had the heater defroster on to clean snow off the car, came out later to go to work and noticed a crack along the bottom of the windshield. No safety issues yet, that I am aware of. Don't know if the problem has been reproduced or confirmed. Vehicle has not been inspected yet.

Accelerator pedal was delayed coming back up when pressed. It is available for inspection. Because of this happening while I was parking the car, it collided with a tree about 20 feet in front of it. I’ve also noticed the car will sometimes accelerate on its own at speeds below 20 mph. I am taking the vehicle to a body shop on Monday to get fixed and be inspected.

While driving, all of a sudden the ABS light, power steering light, electrical control message came up, traction control light all came on. For about 15/20 seconds, I had no power steering, and could not brake. Very scary. This happened 3 different times. During one of these times, everything on my dash went black. Then the heat turned on and we couldn’t roll down the windows. Very scary and dangerous. Especially the not being able to brake for any amount of seconds.
