Is there a fix? Manufacturer service bulletins

The manufacturer has issued service bulletins covering lighting on this vehicle — documented repair instructions, service campaigns, or warranty extensions sent to dealers. A TSB isn't a recall (it's not a free safety remedy), but it's the manufacturer acknowledging the issue and how to fix it.

Service Bulletin 26-AD-001G Mar 2026

Some 2020MY and newer vehicles equipped with a front view camera may illuminate certain warning lights and trigger DTC C272246 fault code for the front camera. In the following cases, the front camera auto-calibration range may be exceeded while driving: • If the front camera is not properly installed and is completely or partially detached. • In case of excessive changes affecting the vehicle's balance (e.g., loading excessively heavy cargo in a specific location of the vehicle, or significant under-inflation of the tires). • Specific road conditions affecting the vehicle's balance (e.g., excessive road crown) This TSB provides instructions on how to service the vehicle when the front camer

Service Bulletin 25-BD-012H TSB Nov 2025

This bulletin provides information regarding condensation related to the accumulated moisture in the headlamp, rear combination lamp, daytime running lamp (DRL), or fog lamp. This TSB illustrates the various causes of condensation inside the lamp assembly. Lamp assembly replacement is NOT necessary in most cases. This condition can be eliminated by turning on the lamps with the engine running for several minutes or during normal driving operation.

Service Bulletin 24-BE-003G Jan 2024

This bulletin provides information on the Integrated LED Control Unit (ILCU) which is now available as a separate service part from the head lamp assembly for certain G70 (IK), GV70 (JK1), GV70 Electrified (JK1a EV), and GV80 (JX1) vehicles. For G70 (IK) vehicles, the ILCU is called LED Drive Module (LDM). In cases where the head lamp assembly needs replacement due to exterior damage such as a cracked lens, broken housing, etc., it is recommended to replace the head lamp sub-assembly only (not the entire head lamp assembly) and reuse the existing ILCU or LDM if no problem is found with it.

Headlights with lots of condensation. Apparently Genesis has been having issues with their headlights. This is a safety issue especially at night. Headlights going out during the day is a minor concern but causing more electrical issue in the vehicle is a major concern, along with headlights going out at night. There should be a safety recall for Genesis headlights.

The headlights somehow gets condensation/moisture inside of them and when this happens it makes the turning signal faulty and not work properly. A notification pops up in the vehicle that says “check turn signal” and the turing signal does not flash properly. This has happened to my vehicle and I am part of a Facebook group and many of us G70 owners are having the same issue. The dealerships are…

It's a documented issue but not catastrophic. 3 complaints have been filed. Repairs average $250 and most owners catch it before it causes a breakdown.

At what mileage does the lighting typically fail?

Mileage data is limited for this issue. Owners report failures across a wide range, suggesting cause is more about driving conditions and maintenance than mileage alone.

What does it cost to fix?

Independent shops typically charge around $250 for lighting repairs on this vehicle. Dealer pricing tends to run 20-40% higher. The exact figure depends on the specific failure mode, parts availability, and your local labor rates. If you're outside factory warranty, an extended service contract often covers this category.

Are there any recalls related to lighting?

No active recalls currently cover lighting issues on this vehicle. The complaints filed represent owner-reported failures that haven't risen to the level of a manufacturer-issued recall — but they're still worth knowing about before you buy or budget for repairs.
