Twice in the past two months, I have been driving down the highway going 70 mph with no car in close proximity to the front of me and the automatic emergency braking has activated, suddenly braking for no reason. In the first instance, there was a car in the lane to the left of me, and the second time cars on both sides of me. But in neither instance was a vehicle close to them front of my vehicle. The second time the car felt like it was going into a skid when the braking activated. I took the car to the dealer (Irwin Hyundai) the first time and they told me the sensors on the car were not properly calibrated when the new car was delivered to me. When I called Irwin’s today after it happened a second time, I was told the car was “functioning as designed” but they would look at it.

Two times while stopped or idling behind a car in traffic, my Hyundai Tucson 2023 has started accelerating on its own with the RPM increasing to nearly 8000 and lurching forward before I was able to apply brakes. Stop the car and restart. I have seen this described on other car message boards and hope the NHTSA will take this seriously. The dealership is not being helpful and claims they cannot reproduce it and it has not caused any onboard diagnostic codes.

I was backing out of my driveway, which is on a busy street. I waited for the traffic to clear. I backed out onto the main road, which I thought was completely clear, but a car came behind me and I smacked right into him. There was no beeping from my car, and the automatic braking system did not engage at all. The rear of my car, particularly the driver's side, was severely damaged. The other car's passenger front door was badly damaged. The side curtain airbag on their car deployed and their vehicle (Volvo station wagon) was not driveable. The emergency braking system frequently engages unexpectedly when I back out of my driveway, even when there is no hazard. The unexpected braking is oftentimes dangerous. However, this time, when I needed it, it did not engage. An outside diagn

(1) [XXX] (14,568 mi): The vehicle had been running normally. My wife was about to switch lanes at an intersection when the vehicle started to shake and vibrate. The entire dashboard lit up and the vehicle quickly died. She tried restarting it and the engine wouldn’t turn over. Anytime there was an attempt to restart, there was a potent odor of gasoline. The car died in the middle of the road. It would sort of start but then it wouldn't move and would just shake and smell of gas. After many minutes of trying to start the vehicle, barely got power but was able to pull to side of road around other cars. Hyundai app reported codes: P030300 and P217800. Had car towed to local dealer. Picked the car up and next day spoke to the service manager who indicated there was a 20%-25% chance this woul

My 2023 Hyundai Tucson’s windshield has developed excessive pitting, multiple chips, and cracks despite only normal highway driving. I do not drive on gravel or dirt roads, yet the glass shows abnormal wear far beyond what would be expected for a vehicle this new. One of the larger chips was repaired by Safelite, and during the repair the windshield cracked further, suggesting the glass is unusually weak or defective. Visibility has become noticeably compromised due to the fine pitting across the entire windshield. Based on the number of similar complaints from other Tucson owners, this appears to be a recurring safety issue with Hyundai windshields.

Major problems with this cars electrical and computer systems. Six warning lights would begin to flash in succession. Eventually car would be inoperative leaving us stranded in July 2025 in Cumberland MD then after supposed repair we were again stranded in Providence RI on Nov 20, 2025 and car has been there for repair ever since. No completion date has yet been given. I strongly believe there are major safety problems with this car.

As I was parking my car in a parking spot going about 5 miles or less. My car surged forward at a very accelerated speed, and I ended up running into a brushed and a metal fence, which is what stopped me. There were no warnings that went off on my car. No emergency brakes, nothing.

My vehicle has been in for service 4 times for the front brake rotors warping. The dealer/manufacturer is not able to fix nor diagnose the root cause of the issue. They have replaced the rotors twice and turned/resurfaced the rotors twice - all in 26000 miles. The dealer has all but given up on the issue - and has referred me to Hyundai Customer Care (Corporate) where I have logged a case. In my discussions with the dealer service manager - he stated there are "half a dozen" other cars he is aware of with similar issues. In online Hyundai owners forums this is also a "known" issue that apparently Hyundai either chooses not to fix or cannot determine how to fix.

On multiple occasions, my new Hyundai Tucson randomly deployed emergency brakes while traveling on highway. This created a dangerous condition as my vehicle started braking without reason which prompted vehicle following my vehicle to slam on their brakes.

Two days after purchasing this vehicle BRAND NEW, I received a "Low Oil" alert. I took it to the nearest Hyundai dealership where a salesman filled the engine with oil. Only a couple hundred miles later I received another "Low Oil" alert. I have been attempting to solve this issue with Hyundai, however, they are insistent that I must complete an oil consumption test, which takes 3,000 miles of testing to complete. This vehicle is burning oil, and burning oil FAST. I do not know where the burnt oil is going, but if it is going through the exhaust system and catalytic converter this may be a FIRE HAZARD.

Engine would not accelerate after stopping at a store. Limped home at 15 mph. Engine light came on a few miles from home. Vehicle would not stay running the next morning and had to be towed to dealership. Problem was an injector that the seal had failed on causing the engine to flood with gasoline. Dealership stated they had seen multiple injector failures and replacement parts now have a different part number implying the injector has been redesigned. Hyundai refused to replace the other injectors as they had not failed yet (they did replace the one that failed). I went ahead and paid to replace the other three. I live in Montana. If I had lost acceleration going up a steep incline or in heavy traffic or car engine failed to stay on in remote area in sub zero temperatures it could have ha

When driving in dark areas with low outdoor lighting, the instrument panel is reflected in the drivers window. Aside from being distracting, there is obstructed visibility where the reflection occurs. I have made repeated calls, that go ignored, to Hyndai Customer Care, brought it to my service dealer upon request for protocol, who could not react because it was daytime. The instrument panel happens not to be recessed as in other cars I have had. I simply want suggestions on how to alleviate the problem. Thank you

2023 Hyundai Tuscon - Very Low Milage approx 6500 Miles - while in a parking lot, The rear passenger Carrier ARM which holds the Control arm fully cracked causing the Control arm to fall off. This product failure is unprecedented as it was a total part manufacture failure. NO impact or under carriage damage was found, even upon Dealer inspection. I as the driver of the vehicle confirm that No impact, accident occurred, and luckily I was not on a highway when it occurred. This was caused ONLY as a result of Product Failure. My concern is that this may occur on the other wheel(s) as a product failure is often NOT a one- product issue, but usually a batch failure. So I am concerned for my safety and the safety of others on the road with this vehicle and product part. Another concern - this ve
