2023 Mitsubishi Outlander owner complaints

After using the outlander for little over 500 miles a warning sign of Parking brake sensor failure occurs every time i stop at a red light. Error occurs for a flash second and is hard to capture when driving

A software issue in the Alliance in-vehicle Infotainment (A-IVI) Display unit cause the sirven to freeze or display black during a backing event

The contact owns a 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the instrument panel turned blank. Additionally, the contact stated that the rearview camera image failed to display while reversing. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the infotainment system needed to be replaced. The system was reprogrammed several times; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 79,057.

Full Digital Driver Display does not work when I start the vehicle.

Check engine light is on. My car is still under 5 year bumper to bumper warranty. My local mitsubishi dealership closed and the nearest one is hours away. I also have a recall. I have called mitsubishi customer service several times only to be put on hold without the ability to talk to someone to get these problems solved.

I bought my 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander brand new in March of 2023. I have several dashboard error messages, with huge safety issues. I took it to Mitsubishi and it was in the shop for 65 days and they told me they do not know how to fix it, it is what it is. They also told me I should not rely on the car, the features, and the dashboard. These errors have occurred at different times of day, mileage, and different temperatures. I have pictures for proof. With out these safety features it puts me, my husband, and three small children at risk.

“Since April, I’ve had an issue with the caliper in my car, and as of today, October 16, Victory Mitsubishi still hasn’t resolved it. I went back on July 4, and they told me they ordered the parts, but they’ve been on backorder since then. I’m still waiting, and my car’s brakes feel rough, plus the noise is really annoying.”

On two instances,the plug under the driver seat controlling the seat functions became detached. On both occasions the seat pushed forward pushing the driver into the steering wheel making it nearly impossible to steer. Fortunately, I was stopped both times. This could have been catastrophic had I been going down the road. The dealer has temporarily wire tied the plug so it will not happen again and the have ordered a new wiring harness, which is on back order.

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V369000 (Back Over Prevention) and 23V345000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact stated that on several occasions while the vehicle was started, in park(P), and while driving and in reverse, the infotainment screen was black. The vehicle was taken to a dealer on several occasions however, the failure could not be replicated. The contact then received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V369000 (Back Over Prevention). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Transmission will not shift up out of first gear until the vehicle is completely up to normal operating temperature.

Vehicle does not operate at temperatures below approximately 10 degrees Fahrenheit due to manufacture failure to install a battery heater. Was inexplicably deleted from 2023 model year of vehicle. The heat pump system also does not work at low temperatures therefore an electrical resistance heating system is needed. Also, vehicles will not accept charge at low temperatures. The problem can only be confirmed at temperatures below 10 degrees. Vehicle warning lights confirm the problem is due to low temperature conditions. Research indicates numerous complaints that manufacturers are aware of and refuse to address. Could leave owner stranded if leaving vehicle in a cold location.

We (driver and passenger) were pulling into a parking lot and going very slowly about to stop and get out of car. Suddenly and unexpectedly the car accelerated out of control and at an abnormal speed. the air bags deployed, smoke filled the cabin. After the police arrived and the car was towed, Liberty Mutual Insurance Company took title to the car. We were lucky to survive because the car ran into a cement wall from the sudden acceleration and went up into the trees and then backed down and hit the ground. There was a police report and the car was inspected by a manufacturer's representative. Earlier in the day there was a warning on the dashboard that said the vehicle needed maintenance. My tire went flat, went to pull over and when my tire went blow , the driver seat airbag came out that’s not right because it’s no wreck no accident no nothing. I just don’t understand what could’ve went wrong with just a tire going flat on the passenger sideand then the driver seat airbag went off no collision no damage no nothing to vehicle my screen go out in the car I lose power when driving it’ll just lose power and now you have to pull over and turn the car off and start it back up. I have taken it in one time before they changed the battery since the battery is not the battery is something electrical.

The contact owned a 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 30 MPH, the vehicle sustained a rear-end collision from another vehicle at a high rate of speed. No air bags deployed. The contact stated that the vehicle's left side had violently crashed into a wall, then the vehicle ricocheted onto the front driver's side, causing the tire to collapse where it came to a stop. The contact stated that a passenger was sitting in the front passenger seat, a passenger in the rear driver side seat, and a passenger in the rear passenger seat. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a local tow lot where it was deemed a total loss. The contact stated that he spent 6 days in the hospital for injuries to both knees and the spine. The passenger did not

The direction of the car where the wheel is when I turn it on sounds like a (crack)when I stop and start it sounds too, I called the Dealer and they know the problem but Mitsubishi still does not have a solution, they told me that they are investigating and they are not doing anything nothing to correct the problem. The technician told me that he would call in 3 months in case there is any recall.

I took this car 2 times to the dealership about the same issue the steering wheel it has a lose parts inside keep giving a weird noise and the second issue the gas smell inside the cabin if you stop the vehicle on hot day and the ac running they are a very bad gas smell coming inside the cabin throw the ac vents i looked on this issue online alot of people have this issue dealership said can't smell nothing they don't want to put the work in to this issue i need help please even last night we smelled it its very bad alot they said On line other people that the gas tank vents on hot day the vent out the gas and its get in to the ac thats why we smell it but when you are driving you dont smell nothing but if you stop and keep the car running come back it will be inside the cabin full of gas

Clunking/Rattling noise coming from passenger rear of vehicle when hitting bumps and rear of vehicle swaying/swerving. Can hear noise while shaking the car side to side while parked. Only 35000 miles. Rear suspension of vehicle seems soft. Took to the dealer rear was misaligned didn't find any other problems. Continue to have the problem swaying/swerving is still there but not as bad. This could possibly cause driver to loose control.

Warning reduced power engine sign came on out of no where. This is the second time this shows up on my dash.. plugged computer to it and shows code p0404 EGR valve stuck.. mileage at only 10,000
