2024 Chevrolet Blazer owner complaints

The auto emergency braking engaged while making a left turn. No cars in front. Had someone been behind me, they could have easily hit me. The seat belt locked as well resulting in being able to feel the seat belt inprint hours afterwards. This incident just happened on 11/24/25 and has not be inspected by any dealership or service center. There were no warning lights or messages prior to the incident.

There's a glare from the dashboard that's reflecting on the windshield and causing an obstruction to road visibility.

The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V433000 (Parking Brake). The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the vehicle failed the recall inspection. The contact was informed that the vehicle would not be released because of the failed inspection. The contact was informed that the parts to repair the vehicle were not available and would not be available until January 2026. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle had been with the dealer for two weeks. The contact stated that the recall notification indicated that the parts were available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 34,865.

Transmission & engine failure. Press the gas and it doesn’t move the car-feels as if it is trying to change gears and it isn’t working. Car under warranty & still not working. Been to the dealership multiple times and they are unable to fix the issue. No warning signs.

This is the 2nd time I have been left stranded unable to charge my vehicle due to the charge door malfuction on the vehicle. This is a safty issue due to the fact that if you are unable to charge the vehicle, you can get starnded somewhere unsafe putting yourself and family at risk. This charge door failure has happened once within 8 months after purchasing the vehicle, the charge door was replaced under warranty back a year ago. Now its has started to bind up and not open leaving me unable to charge my vehicle. I have taken the vehicle back to the dealership and they had to special order the part. This morning, I stopped to open the gates at work, car was idling. When I got back into the car, put it in drive and started to slowly move forward the FORWARD COLLISION SYSTEM slammed on my brakes and lights flashing on my dash. I backed up...there was absolutely nothing in my way. This has happened numerous times, different places and while turning a corner at a very slow speed. Never nothing in the way. Will definitely be taking it in to have it checked now.

The plastic cover on the shark fin antenna has fallen off the vehicle twice now. The second time was just 12 weeks after the first one was replaced at the dealership. The part fails because the plastic clips that hold it to the base are brittle and are easily damaged by the high speed air dryers in car washes. My concern is that if the clips get weakened in the car wash and then the plastic cover separates from the base while driving at highway speeds, there is a very real potential for this part to strike the windshield of the car following my vehicle. The part in question is GM Part Number 26537604. GM has issued a direct replacement to the original OEM part number, GM Part Number 26512283 which presumably has reinforced clips to prevent this problem.

My 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV AWD has experienced two separate incidents involving sudden loss of propulsion without warning. First Incident – XXX While driving in [XXX], the vehicle suddenly lost propulsion without warning while I was in a turn lane in front of a medical center. Following the loss of propulsion, the Driver Information Center displayed warnings associated with the AWD system, shift system, and high-voltage system. The vehicle could not be driven or shifted and became disabled in the roadway, creating a potentially hazardous traffic situation. Since buying the car in 2024 I have experienced multiple incidents where the system hard brakes for no reason, including times while driving. The emergency recall on this vehicle was repaired last year and since that repair this issue has occurred 2 more times, once earlier in 2026 and then most recently as yesterday despite claims by GM the issue has been fixed. My daughter currently drives this vehicle and is afraid she is going to get into an accident because of this issue. I tried to initiate a buyback but due to the miles on the vehicle GM would only settle for 4k.

I have been waiting for months for my recall to be completed. My dealership has been waiting for the parts from GM and they still haven’t received them. I’m not sure when the recall was initially issued but I contacted the dealership about it as soon as I was aware of it. Auto hold was on, radar cruise control was set and as I was merging in traffic a sharp smell of burning started. The cruise control refused to disengage until I parked the car in garage. Eventually burn smell ended but seems like brake was stuck while acceleration causing a burn smell. It seems like brake could get stuck to wheels perhaps when auto hold is on even when driving? Auto break hold is a feature which keeps the break on while car is stopped.

Breaking system not properly working . The car is brand new and the issue is going on for 2 months. Chevy dealer want to have the car for 7days but they don’t want to provide loaner or a rental. This is a dangerous issue and dealer seems to don’t care!

On October 2, 2026, while driving my 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV AWD at approximately 55 miles per hour, I approached a stop sign while traveling downhill on a wet road. I had let off the gas and had slowed to about 35 mls per hour before I applied the break. The road was wet from rain, but I did not believe the vehicle was hydroplaning. They rain had stopped and roads were only moderately wet. I applied the brake pedal normally and continuously held the pedal down. I did not pump or release the brake pedal. The vehicle appeared to activate ABS. I could feel what seemed like repeated braking and releasing/pulsing while I continued holding the brake pedal down. Despite continuously applying the brake, the vehicle did not slow and stop as I expected and continued moving toward the stop sign.

The contact stated that the vehicle independently accelerated and there was an abnormal clicking sound. The brakes eventually responded, and the vehicle stopped. The contact stated that the failure lasted for approximately five miles. The contact's two minor grandchildren were inside the vehicle during the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 48,100.

Chevy Trunk opens automatically without key

The transmission in my 2024 Chevrolet Blazer is very noisy often making whining and grinding sounds and I experience rough shifting and transmission hesitation during acceleration or gear changes.

Charging hatch door will not open. First noticed the problem when it got very cold here. <-15F Did not try to pry door open. Hatch needs to be reliable iin all weather. Happened December 13, 2025

I was driving down the highway at 70mph using the adaptive cruise control. There was nobody in front of me, and suddenly the vehicle started picking up speed. I looked at the cruise control and it said 115mph, so I hit the brakes to override it and slow down. when I reset it for , ~70mph again it worked fine. This happened to me two other times with the same basic scenario. The speed is always over 100mph, and it always occurs when the adaptive cruise control has been in use for at least 30 minutes. I have an appt with the dealer that I bought it from to have it looked at. No warning lights and no other symptoms.

The car due to the parking brake system recall lost control, the brakes would not stop and caused the vehicle to crash into 2 parked cars, landing on top of the 2nd vehicle which was a pick up truck

the car jumped/jerked like it was trying to change gears while accelerating and two times when at a complete stop at a light. The car was taken to dealership on Sep 2, 2025 and needed a full transmission replacement. The parts were on back order and the vehicle was not complete until November 20th of 2025
