2024 Chrysler Pacifica owner complaints

The charging system light came on. My wife went to charge at public charging station due to being close to one. After plugging in the van, it said charging failed. She unplugged the charged went to back up and the van died. Had to have it towed to dealer. Dealer states even though the van is in the warranty period, the IDCM which is up under the van is scuffed and therefore isn’t warrantied. They said there is a big dent in the muffler also so we must have ran over something and caused the damage even though we live in a city with paved streets, a subdivision with paved streets, and have a concrete driveway at our home. Car completely powered off , abs replaced, transmission shifter , replaced batteries once and now the aux battery again, car not even 3 years old. Safety issue when vehicle is just dying while in motion

I had a warning telling me to Stop safely and that the vehicle will stop soon as well as the Start\Stop and Battery lights.

Received a recall notice the end of XXX for 06D/NHTSA 26V-189. Wife called local dealership on XXX to set up an appointment. Person said someone will call you back in 24 to 48 hours. No one called. The contact owns a 2024 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated while driving approximately 55 MPH, the braking system erroneously activated causing the vehicle to abruptly stop. The failure had occurred on several occasions while driving on the same highway. The contact stated that during the failure, the Forward Collision Avoidance: Adaptive Cruise Control was not activated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was able to duplicate the failure, but the cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact stated that the vehicle had been modified to accommodate a disabled driver and did not believe that the failure was related to the modification. Hybrid system completely failed cause the vehicle to come to a complete stop withing 2-3 seconds. It resulted in my van getting rear ended.

We were rear ended on the highway, the driver seat broke a part came off and the back of the seat went back instead of staying upright. I’m not sure where the vehicle is after we released it to the insurance company on 09-11-24 The driver has back pain and the back of the seat didn’t stay where it should have. I’m not sure we haven’t talked to the dealership just a mechanic. The insurance company had an adjuster look at it and deemed it a total loss. No there was no warnings or any.

When I tried to start my Pacifica I got a clicking sound like the battery was almost dead. I tried again and a very loud pop came from the area above the driver side around the top left windshield or possibly the air bag area. All the electric doors failed to operate. The car did not start. I snapped pictures of the instrument cluster. The motor LED came on, the "Auto Park Not Engaged" came on. The engine start button showed RUN. All 5 gear shifter LED were on "P R N D L". Both outside mirror blind spot indicators were on. I was trying to go to a doctor's appointment so I tried lifting the battery cable under the hood to reboot the computer. That worked and all returned to to normal. Vehicle AC was blowing warm but car was operating normally with no obvious issues. After approximately three hours of driving car abruptly lost power and lit a warning light and shut off. The dealership was able to diagnose the AC failure, and now I understand that the AC is integrated into the battery system and inoperable AC failure constitutes a critical component failure leading to rapid overheating. No warning or reasonable means to anticipate this failure was supplied prior to incident. Additionally, the car is 2yrs old and should not be experiencing critical component failures related to safety.

I was driving the vehicle as normal when all of a sudden a message appeared and the engine shut down. The message was "Stop Safely Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon". It brought my speed down to 10 mph and I had to pull off the side of the road. This is now the 3rd time it has happened. We have brought it into the dealership previously and both times they said that they were not able to find the issue and since the message went away, we could proceed with driving the vehicle as normal. I have 3 little kids and we often drive on the highway and I no longer feel safe in my car. I know there is an open investigation for model years 2017-2023, but unfortunately ours is a 2024 so is not in that investigation.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the wheel hub was loose and needed to be replaced. The wheel hub was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 15,000.

Adaptive cruise control slammed on brakes at least five times when nothing there in front or on the sides. First time I ended up with whiplash…now I hear it start to stop and I override system by speeding up. It also sometimes gets so close to car in front without braking so I have to manually brake. I’m concerned about being rear-ended if it slams on brakes for no reason. Five times there were no deer, people, etc.

There were no warnings prior to the event. I was driving the vehicle and parked at a car wash to clean the interior. After cleaning, I started the car. I checked and the indicator light on the EPB (parking brake) button was off. I tried to move the vehicle but the parking brake was clearly engaged. I pressed the button several times. Nothing changed. The indicator light would not go on. I tried turning the car off/on. I tried to enter maintenance mode which failed without explanation - just a generic error. Finally, I got out, locked the car and waited ten minutes. When I got back in and started it, the indicator finally went on and I was able to disengage the brake.
