I was stopped at a stoplight about to get on the highway to go to work when my headlights turned off, music turned off, infotainment & cluster screen turned off, & all the backlit buttons went dark. Approximately 2-3 seconds later, everything turned back on as if nothing happened. The engine did not stop running. It was like all electrical to the car got turned off for a couple seconds. I was so glad that it didn’t happen while I was on the highway going 70mph. There are so many other people who have a 2024 Kona & have experienced the same thing per Reddit forums & Facebook groups. Luckily I have only had the one occurrence & it was within the first 500 miles (less than a month!) of owning my car. I now have 14k miles on it, but so many other people are having the same issues & it’s terrif

I was driving at night and my passenger was trying to pull up the maps on the touchscreen dash and the headlights shut off and the whole dash including the speedometer and rpm Guage shut off for less than 10 seconds it all went off and came back on on its own.
Twice my car wouldn't come on at all. The first time they put a new battery in even though I had it only 2 weeks and it's a 2024. The second time was today. The engine would not come on. My inside lights were blinking but the car wouldn't start. The lights went out on the inside but when I went outside the car, my outside light were blinking real fast. This lasted for about 15 minutes and then they went dead. The whole car was dead and had to be towed to the dealership.
7 months old Kona with 700 miles on it. Woke up one morning with a "Totally" dead battery. The internet is full of incidents such as mine--new Konas with dead batteries. The dealer could not give me a service date until one month later. Car is still at the dealer...
The dashboard lights, HUD and exterior lights all have been turning off for 4-5 seconds every 6-8 weeks for the last 14-15 months. The brake and accelerometer remain active but because of the situation it presents every time, all that can be done is stray straight and try to look for a safe lane change.

A few different days over the past few months. Driving heated seats stopped working. Check engine warning light on intermittently. Key fob not working. Multiple error codes stored in system cleared by dealer. shut down the car screen has stayed on. AC light has stayed on when car is off. Screen has turned off “check you back seat” upon leaving the car heard the engine still on 3x. At the gas station turned off the car, miles to zero reading 5, P park stays on, odometer reading on. As tank filling miles to zero rapidly increased from 5 to 300. I have a video of this. Been in for service multiple times. Presently at the dealer. They r unable to replicate this. They do not seem concerned about this. I feel it is a safety and operational concern. Prefer by car not be communicatin

While at a light, the auto stop/start kicked on but when it was time to start driving again and I pressed the gas pedal, the car would not move. There was a long beep and then the check battery icon and an alert came on my dash board stating “Auto Stop is Off. Shift to P or N and start engine manually.” When I turned off the ignition and restarted the car, the alert went off but two additional icons showed up on my dash board- check engine and check oil. Then my steering wheel locked up and I could not press on the breaks or gas pedal. I could not operate my car for more than 30 minutes.

-The right knuckle sheared upon wheel impact with a curb at approximately 35 mph. At the time the vehicle was pushed northward by 46mph gust as the driver attempted a left hand turn onto a westbound lane from a northbound road. The part is still attached to the vehicle which is currently at the collision repair center. -Failure of the part left the driver stranded and the vehicle unmovable making it a traffic hazard. -Both the tow truck driver and the policeman who called him looked at the part and expressed they had never seen that failure before. No technical inspection of the component has taken place. A retired mechanical engineer who used to perform tests at Eaton Corporation looked at the pictures and the details of the accident and indicated that the part should have survived

powertrain 1 complaint shown
I bought the 2024 Kona N Line in January of 2024. It had 64 miles on it. At 1,149 miles, an alert from BlueLink stated that a code showed up, stating engine, power train issue. I contacted my local Hyundai dealership, the one I bought the Kona from, and bought it in. The service department stated that they cannot fix it because it was a DTC Code error, and that since the check engine light wasn't on, I was stuck. I brought the vehicle in 2 more times after that. The vehicle would idle high when in park, the engine would Rev up at odd times, even while driving, like I was ramming my foot down on the gas peddle, which I was not. Also, while traveling up hill, the engine seemed to catch and want to shut off before catching itself. It would idle high while doing that as well. I'm at a loss on
