The sound of the horn is so low/faint that it can be barely be heard which can ultimately lead to a “major” accident. I implore you to issue a recall in order for the manufacturer to replace the inferior horns.

The rear back up camera will go blank at times, or it will display in pink or orange. It is not reliable as sometimes it works and other times it does not.
Recently purchased said vehicle. Found the back up/camera/safety component substandard, especially when compared to other makes/models including their own Sentry. The resolution is so low that images are hard to discern; are mottled gray like a 1950 black and white movie. When backing up in low light (i.e. garage, overcast, rainy), it is nearly impossible to discern objects. I actually took vehicle in and asked them to check the camera as I thought there was something wrong with it. On line reviews of this make/model confirm the poor camera quality. This leads to the question "Does this back up camera/images even meet required safety standards?" Since the vehicle is so new, there may not be many, if any, complaints, yet. Other Nissan models (i.e. Sentry) have the expected quali
Driving on the freeway and I noticed smoke coming from under the hood so I pulled over and didn't know what caused the fire
The dashboard camera screen on all 2024 Altima models displays a white foggy haze, which worsens at night and obstructs and distorts image view. The issue worsens in low light (garages, nighttime) where it is difficult to recognize or identify objects. On 7/10/2024, a Nissan dealership master mechanic reported to us that all 2024 Nissan Altimas suffer from this issue; however, when asked, Nissan corporate has no remedy, repair, or replacement for the component(s), causing this white fog haze that obscures the driver's view. We were told by the dealership where we purchased the vehicle that this issue only affects the 2024 Nissan Altimas. Especially at nighttime, the white foggy haze reduces our ability to identify people and objects, posing a safety concern. There have been two incident

Steering becomes tight and “feels to lock up” with no control. Happened 2 times previously, 3rd time resulted in a crash.
Just purchased a pre-owned 2024 Nissan Altima SR mileage 23637. Driving home from the dealership, steering wheel had intermittent vibration which continues to this day. Brought to dealership on September 3, 2025 and they were unable to duplicate problem at that time. Rescheduled new appointment to re-evaluate problem for September 11, 2025. Our safety is compromised by the strong possibility of the collapse of the steering wheel while driving as other recalled Altima cars in 2024 models. Trying to prevent a potential accident and loss of life. Respectfully, concerned driver
This request is due to my concern that a possible manufacturing or other defect in the 2024 Nissan Altima’s steering and/or wheel mechanisms caused a sudden loss of steering control and resulted in a collision and serious injuries. The car was taken possession by National Car Rental. I am unsure if the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others, but it has been reported to the manufacturer (Nissan), my insurance company (State Farm), and the car rental company (National). I don't think there were any warning lights. The following is what I experienced. I was driving, passengers were in the front and rear right seats. The car was in the right lane on [XXX] heading into an underpass when the Altima experienced a sudden jolt in the st

Problems with the engine and transmission.
Bolt is transmission housing was not installed at manufacture plant, causing other bolt to fail, causing drive shaft to follow out and into the catalytic converter, regarding vehicle undriveable
While driving vehicle down residential street at approximately 15 mph, vehicle all of a sudden made a long noise and began to shake. Per repair facility, a bolt in the transmission housing was not installed at manufacturing plant. The single bolt (should have been two bolts), sheared off, cause the drive shaft to drop into the catalytic converter. If I had been traveling on the highway at high speed the drive shaft dropping to the highway surface could have caused catastrophic accident. Peoria Nissan has component that failed Drive shaft dropping out of drive train could have cause and accident with my vehicle and others Manufacturer has been notified, they have inspected No warnings or symptoms prior to failure

I went to stop at a stop sign and the breaks didn’t not work causing a collision, prior to I heard a loud clinking noise and my car smelled like burning rubber. Blind spot didn’t not light up accurately or notify me correctly.
This incident happened twice in one week first with 2023 Nissan Sentra then replaced with a 2024 Nissan Altima both rented from Enterprise. I was traveling down the street from my house, a two-lane, steep hillside road, which I’ve traveled up and down for 30 years. I stopped behind a parked car on the right side of the road to let another car come up the hill and pass by before I continued down. As I continued down the hill, the car just began to accelerate and I could not stop it, I tried to break, but no response and the car kept accelerating for about 50 feet before crashing into. the granite hillside, lifting the car so it landed perpendicular to the road, setting off all airbags and blocking all traffic completely. Thankfully there was no other damage to other cars, homes or people

There is an obvious gap in the lining of the rear upper left corner of the trim that attaches the back windshield to the top and the car and rear door. I have photos included the dealership admitted to it not existing on their other models from that year and that I was correct although they could do nothing about it because it was an obvious manufacturing defect. I have photos included... Called national Nissan help line for assistance and they called me once and never responded to my emails after that.

On Wednesday 08/21/2024, at approximately 6:30 pm, my 2024 Nissan Altima completely shut off whiile my wife was driving the car down a very busy road. She narrowly miss being struck by another while attempting to navigate to the center lane of a busy highway with no power. Vehicle still had lights and dashboard display but would not move. After coming to a stop she turned the vehicle off completely, waited for a moment and then, attempted to start the vehicle. The vehicle started and she was able to continue traveling down the road. As of this Saturday (08/24/202), the vehicle has not duplicated the event.

Rear seatbelt sensors in my 2024 Nissan Altima repeatedly beep and show an unbuckled warning, even when the back seat is unoccupied and with zero belongings. This started around 2 months ago. This causes a distraction while driving and may indicate a malfunctioning occupant detection system.
