I was driving down a hill and hit my brakes and the pushed back against me and then went right to the floor with minimal braking. I got an error message on my dash that said “brake system failure- do not exceed 62 mph” Luckily it was early in the morning and nobody was in front of me. All of the lights were green and between the engine braking and the little brake power that I had I made it up the hill (about a mile) to the Chevy dealership. I got an error notification the day prior that said there was an electrical error and my check engine light came in. I drove straight to the dealership but they couldn’t do anything since it was 4:30 and later than work hours so they made me an appointment for the next day and let me go. They told me later that day that it was an issue with the mast

On the day of purchase, while driving on a freeway, the vehicle would not accelerate. The RPM's went up, the engine revved, but the vehicle acted as if it was in neutral. These vehicles will not accelerate if they think the brake pedal is also being pressed. The brake was not being depressed. As I was pulling the vehicle to the side of the road, suddenly it allowed me to accelerate again, and I continued with no further issues. One week later, with fewer than 200 miles on the vehicle, upon starting the dashboard showed alerts to Service ESC, Service Brake Assist, Service Trailer Brake System. The ABS and Traction Control lights also came on. These are all systems designed to prevent loss of control, and all failed without warning. A dealer service center diagnosed this as a known problem
Many warning lights are on for traction control, abs , brakes service ESC, trailer braking and the adaptive cruise control system is not working, it was reported to the dealer, they checked it said bad battery, they coded it out said it is fine now on 9/5/25. It’s back at the dealer with all the same warnings on again
[XXX] I purchased a 2025 Chevrolet Colorado zr2 Midnight Edition from Preston Hood Chevrolet in Crestview, Florida. I had been waiting to see this truck for a couple days as it was listed on their website. They said it was in service but when I asked why they did not tell me. When I went to the dealership to buy it I asked again why it had been in service and the salesman said he did not know but he said this truck has a lot of accessories they had to put on it. I drove the truck home, and then to work the next day and in my way home the brake system completely failed. I kept pushing fully on the brakes and it kept going and took quite some time to stop. I noticed multiple brake warnings and was stranded on a very busy street with cars flying by. This was not a safe area. When I called the
This truck was purchased May 2025 and currently has 2600 miles. Without any warning the brake light and ABS warning lights came on along with messages reading Brake Assist,ESC, and Trailer Brake require service. I took my truck in to a Chevrolet dealer on Aug 18, 2025 for inspection of issue. I was informed the Master Cylinder has failed and because this was a “SAFETY” issue I could not take drive my truck and they would not allow me to remove the vehicle from their lot. I understand there has been many people with this same issue. Why has a recall not been issued? Why is Chevrolet still selling these trucks? This needs to be addressed ASAP to save lives.
Started the vehicle and 4 dash lights were on. The ABS light, the forward collision system light, the BRAKE light, and the traction control light. The vehicle was taken to a dealership and we have been notified by the dealer that it is a Master Brake Cylinder failure. The part is on national backorder with no ETA. Luckily, it did not fail while driving, but could've been tragic. This vehicle is brand new and belongs to my 16 year old. This is a known issue on the Colorado, Traverse, and possibly other models. However, I have yet to find a recall or TSB. Brake cylinders are FAILING in brand new vehicles and GM needs to address it.
Brake pedal went to the floor when I applied the brakes, took truck to dealership. Dealership reported to me the master clylinder was defective and needed to order one from detroit.
All electronic braking lights came on in truck @13040 miles dropped at dealership last Monday they believe it’s the master cylinder. Pending additional info

After the vehicle was parked and powered off for several hours, I started the truck and experienced an extreme and unexpected audio volume spike from the factory BOSE sound system. The startup sound and turn-signal chime played at an excessively loud level, far beyond normal operation. The sound was sudden and intense, causing immediate ear pain, ringing, and a headache. My dog, who was in the vehicle, became visibly distressed and shaken by the noise. This volume spike occurred before any media audio was playing and appears tied to the vehicle's startup and chime audio system, not user-adjustable radio volume. The turn-signal clicking remained extremely loud afterward, indicating the same audio channel was affected. The vehicle has been operating normally prior to this incident and h
Purchased brand new April 24, 2025 within two days of purchase the infotainment system went blank after a few seconds it reloaded. This happened off and on for a couple of weeks dealer replied its a known issue. After 5 weeks the infotainment system and the driver dash went completely blank and stayed that way. The infotainment system had a picture of a care with a wrench and screw driver stating software update failed. I was out of town and stopped at a certified Chevrolet dealer and was told they could not fix it. That there was a software update but no eta on when it would be sent over the air. Now the infortainment system doesnt load when i start the car just the warning about the software update. I took the vehicle to a local dealership and they had the vehicle for 5 hours and could
Subject: Urgent Safety and Usability Concern – 2025 Chevrolet Colorado Infotainment/Instrument Cluster Failure To Whom It May Concern, I own a new 2025 Chevrolet Colorado, purchased on June 23, 2025. Just four days later, on June 27, both the infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster went completely dark, rendering the vehicle unsafe and inoperable. It has only 78 miles on it. After researching the issue, I learned this is a known problem to GM and is addressed in Service Bulletin PIT6362 released on 2 April 2025. The bulletin advises dealers not to replace hardware components as the issue stems from a software anomaly. However, there is currently no estimated timeline for a resolution. This leaves me — and presumably many others — with a an expensive investment that canno
Sunroof exploded outwards. On a sunny afternoon while driving on highway. No other vehicles around.
The upper radiator hose on some huge percentage of these trucks fail (mine has failed at just over 5k miles). You can check the Colorado Chevy forum, youtube, etc., et al, and find plenty of instances where this has failed. As this is the cooling system, it can cause the engine to overheat and potentially ruin the engine. The flaw seems to be an engineering issue with the rubber seal they use (instead of a high quality o-ring) to seal the upper hose to the radiator. Additionally, since this can cause engine failure it should be addressed immediately. Instead, my local Chevy dealer, since its not a recall item, said they could schedule a time next week for me to LEAVE the truck and then they would get to it in 10-14 days. This is extremely unfair to the consumer who depends on these vehicle

The headlights flicker/pulse creating visibility issues at night. This occurs when the heated seats are activated. This is a safety concern for myself, passengers, other drivers, and pedestrians. Flickering lights can cause an accident due to poor visibility and the creating of false shadows. This would also hinder the ability to see pedestrians. The problem was reproduced at the local Chevrolet dealer, they said they would contact Chevrolet, at my insisting. Initially they told me I should replace the stock halogen light bulbs with aftermarket LED bulbs at my cost. They said it is extremely unlikely that GM will do anything to rectify the issue because from the design standpoint of the vehicle everything is operating within its standards on paper. The manufacturer has initiated a case.
The contact owns a 2025 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that when the vehicle was started, the instrument cluster went black. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer and the contact was informed that there was a Technical Service Bulletin regarding the failure. The contact was advised by the dealer that the manufacturer had ordered the release of the vehicle and informed the contact to wait for a recall letter from the manufacturer. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact called the manufacturer and was informed that the dealer was correct and to wait for the recall letter. The contact was referred by the manufacturer to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 396.
The infotainment system does not operate correctly. The screen where the backup camera and all other information is you can not view since the screen is black most of the time. That is also where the light switch is for headlights and such.

On [XXX] after only 400 miles on the odometer, I experienced complete transmission failure while on a highway and was nearly hit by the vehicle behind me, luckily that did not happen. On April 29th, a new replacement transmission was installed by the Chevy dealer, and now on [XXX] I had experienced a severe burning smell from under the hood of the vehicle accompanied with a grinding sound, which lead to me to take it back to the dealer. On 05/15/25, the customer care manager informed me that the new transmission from the factory has metal debris inside the pan, and the vehicle would again require a complete "tear down". This is very unsafe for major powertrain components from the GM factory to keep failing, another failed transmission on a brand new truck like this is very unsafe especial
On [XXX] at approximately [XXX{}, my new 2025 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss which I purchased from the dealer brand new on [XXX], experienced a sudden catastrophic transmission failure which led to myself nearly being severely injured/possibly killed while driving on a main road in New York; on the way to pick up my two small children. The vehicle while on a main road (state highway) with other vehicles traveling at speeds of 40mph or greater, experienced a sudden mechanical failure that resulted in a complete loss of acceleration, and my vehicle was nearly rear ended by high-speed oncoming traffic behind me. As a medical professional, this is extremely frightening, because a mechanical issue like this could have led to the significant traumatic injuries to myself, my children and others. Upon

My 2025 Chevrolet Colorado continues to experience roof denting caused by the vehicle’s structural weakness in the roof panel when exposed to normal car-wash air dryers. This problem began in 2023 with my previous model year Colorado, and it has carried into the 2025 model despite GM having issued an internal service advisory in 2023 describing the need to install additional roof braces to prevent this exact failure. GM acknowledged the issue two years ago but did not incorporate the recommended reinforcement into manufacturing. As a result, even routine exposure to the forced air from automated car-wash dryers causes the roof to bend inward. I have had this inspected multiple times, and the root cause has been consistently identified as inadequate roof support. The problem has not been c

Cruise Control I was nearly in a severe accident because of the way Chevrolet Cruise control works when I was on the highway and traffic slowed down briefly and my vehicle continued to run at the set miles and didn't slow down when I was approaching the vehicle in front of me. When I purchased the vehicle (2025 Chev Colorado) I was not informed that 'Gap' detection does not work as it does in most other modern vehicles. This feature is only available in higher end vehicles in what they call Adapter Cruise Control. My pamphlet "Getting to know your 2025 Colorado explains how to use ACC with no mention it is an option only available on higher end vehicles. I consider it a safety hazard that Cruise Control in its normal setting does not use the Gap setting as most modern vehicles do ma
