I purchased my 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee, new, approximately one month ago on [XXX] at Victory CDJR in Merrillville, IN 46410. Since purchase, the vehicle has been returned to the dealership three times for the same issue, and I am now scheduled for a fourth repair attempt. This fourth repair appointment was scheduled on the same day of the 3rd attempt hours after I picked it up because the problem wasn't resolved. The problem is that both key fobs randomly stop working, preventing reliable access to and operation of the vehicle. The failure is intermittent and unpredictable, which makes it especially concerning. Despite multiple service visits on November 26th, 2025, December 3rd, 2025, and December 31st, 2025, the issue has not been resolved and I now have to return the fourth time on J

The Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Emergency Braking does not function, and we believe it has never function properly since we purchased the vehicle NEW on 8/22/25. The vehicle has been to the local Jeep dealer on numerous occasions to have the issue corrected, but to date, they are unable to determine a root cause or affect a repair. On the last repair visit, they conducted a road test with their employee driving and the service and myself in the car. They could not get the FCW to function either, despite a call to the Jeep remote assistance line and a reboot of the main control panel. The service manager indicated that he would reach out to their factory technical representative for assistance. They called me a few days later and asked my to bring the vehicle in again. It has now be
The Hatchback was suddenly in operable where none of the buttons or fobs would open or close the hatchback to the point I was not able to close the hatch manually and the hatch flung open while driving causing dangerous driving conditions. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the hatch but the buttons in the vehicle still didn't work and found it was the connector pins were not connecting. My concern is that I have family and children in my backseats and do not feel safe driving with passengers where the hatchback can open while driving on a new car 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee with only 14 miles when purchased less than a month ago for $40k+.
A software error has caused the rearview image not to display when it is placed in reverse. This may cause harm to both driver and passenger in the vehicle due to an accident. Not being able to see in reverse can cause the driver to hit someone and or something without knowledge.
The backup camera screen shows a blue screen when the gear is placed in reverse. It is difficult to see pedestrians, or other objects not viewable on the rearview mirror. This has occurred on numerous occasions. I contacted the manufacturer and the manufacturer told me to contact the dealership. I contacted the dealership and took a day off work to bring the vehicle to the dealership, but I was told that they couldn't fix the issue because they did not have a loaner vehicle available. I believe this is a safety issue causing me to backup into someone without my knowledge.
This complaint is an update to my previous complaint #11679471 submitted on August 8, 2025. Please consider this as additional information to the original case. Since my initial submission: Second Dealership Refusal: I attempted to bring the vehicle to a second authorized Jeep dealership for inspection and diagnosis. They refused any service, stating they would not inspect or repair the vehicle. This is now the second dealership to reject the vehicle after the incident. Obtained Diagnostic Printouts: Despite refusing service, the second dealership was convinced to provide printed codes from the vehicle. These codes show multiple system errors recorded at a very low vehicle mileage, including communication failures with the ABS control module, brake system internal failure, and CAN bus er
While driving on the Belt Parkway towards Coney Island in stop-and-go traffic at approximately 25–35 mph, the vehicle in front slowed and came to a stop. The distance to the vehicle ahead was more than two car lengths. The brake pedal was fully depressed, but the vehicle did not decelerate adequately to come to a complete stop. The driver's record is clear of any car accident All forward collision warning alerts were sounding, but the ABS and automatic emergency braking (AEB) did not activate. There was no tire screech or pulsation from the brakes. The vehicle slowed but continued to move forward, resulting in a low-speed frontal collision. After the collision, the vehicle refused to move until the engine had been turned off for several minutes. Airbags did not deploy. This incident happen
Vehicle claims it is supposed to get a combined 22 mpg. However after having it for over three months now. We have yet to get vehicle to get above 17.5 mpg. most of the time it is at 16 on average. This a 3.6 V6 engine. My former 19 Jepp grand Cherokee with a HEMI 5.7 got an average of 19-20mpg. My driving habits have not changed between both vehicles or destinations. No warning lights or messages, no symptoms other than it does smell like it is running rich at times. I have asked the dealership several times about it, and they have said there is nothing that can be done. I have been also reading where there are quite a few of these same issues that owners of these Jeeps are complaining of the same issues. from 2023-2025. maybe a software update could be done? Vehicle now has 7400 miles o
We leased this car in April of 2025. When we got the car it had a strong smell like gasoline. The dealer said it would go away in a few days. The smell only got worse, so the dealer picked it up to “clean it” He returned the car 2 days later in which the gas smell was even worse and made me dizzy/nauseous. The dealer took it back for a more involved “cleaning” and it’s been over 2 weeks now. The dealer cannot tell us what’s wrong with the car and why it smells like gasoline, they are stating they are waiting on new parts for the car (such as carpeting) The dealer did not provide us with any receipts so we do not have documentation of what they did to the car At this point we feel unsafe to drive the car especially with our young children-we are stuck paying a lease for a lemon car.

May 22nd, 2025- bought a brand new 2025 Grand Cherokee Jeep limited from Iverson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Huron South Dakota. - The computer module failed leading to multiple electrical issues such as fan for operating the A/C and heat and the screen for the radio constantly flickering and going black and then turning back on. - Our safety is at risk because the vehicle is not reliable. The fan goes from level 1 through 7 and it displayed "127" on the screen. We live in South Dakota and it's Winter now and our winters can and will be brutally cold. I don't feel safe with having our little daughter riding in a vehicle that is having constantly electrical issues. - The dealership and the manufacturer are aware of this issue but refuse to help and the dealership is still selling the sam
On April 20, 2026, my 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L was involved in a crash due to a sudden and complete brake failure. At the time of the incident, the vehicle was in the custody of an authorized FCA dealership. An employee of the dealership was operating the vehicle when the brakes completely failed to respond, resulting in an accident. FCA US LLC Special Investigations conducted an inspection (Case #[96529168]) and stated they found no physical evidence of a manufacturing defect or component malfunction. However, the mechanical or electronic failure was severe enough to cause a crash while being operated by a professional dealership technician. I am filing this complaint because sudden brake failure represents an extreme safety hazard to the public. The manufacturer has denied assistance,
My vehicle wasn’t reading my key fob when I was pressing the lock and unlock button, so I took out the hard key and unlock the doors. Then the alarm set off and I was using the key fob again trying to shut the alarm off no response so I took the key fob and press the start stop button and the engine turn over and the key was working again then I went to shut off the engine same way. The engine would not shut off my driver seat wouldn’t move so I couldn’t get to the battery and I paid a lock smith to come out and he couldn’t even help me with my key fob not syncing with the vehicle..my ebreak would not release or the emergency override break wasn’t working. On the digital dash it’s kept saying shift to park to release parking break but the vehicle was in park all while doing so. This all h

My vehicle is experiencing multiple dangerous electrical and drivetrain failures that occur intermittently and without warning. The issues began the day of purchase purchase and continue to worsen. Documented defects include: Vehicle randomly will not start Vehicle randomly will not turn off Dashboard/electronic systems reset intermittently (gauges go blank or restart, Bluetooth disconnects, warning indicators reset) Fuel gauge does not update while driving Sometimes vehicle will start but will not move (forward) when shifted into Drive or when in drive and brake pedal has been depressed. Vehicle sometimes fails to move when placed into Reverse Vehicle must be shut off and restarted to regain ability to move Key fob is not recognized by the doors or proximity sensors Driver’s sea
Vehicle shuts off intermittently without warning. Random dash warning lights will flash, but not stay on. Air suspension will engage on its own while vehicle is not turned on, and electrical panels and lights will turn on and flash while vehicle is parked in garage, hours or days after last driven. Transmission will struggle to shift gears from low speeds, but then quickly “catch up” causing unpredictable acceleration. This vehicle has been to the dealership 5 times with batteries replaced, and software resets done, but no conclusion to what the source of the issue is. A camera was installed in our garage after the vehicle was sent home with us without being repaired due to being unable to replicate the issue. The camera captured 4 incidents of the vehicle electronics turning on, and air s

Within weeks of purchasing my brand-new 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee, this past Thursday when leaving for my workday the steering wheel on my vehicle became completely immovable when I attempted to leave. I started the vehicle and tried to turn the wheel, but it would not move at all. There were no warning lights or alerts. I had no ability to steer or maneuver the vehicle, and it was completely undriveable. The vehicle had to be towed from my workplace to the dealership because the steering would not turn. After diagnosis, the dealer informed me that the entire power steering rack had failed and required full replacement. A power steering rack is a critical safety component, and a failure of this magnitude on a brand-new, very low-mileage vehicle is extremely concerning. If this defect had
The contact owns a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the buttons on the steering wheel failed to operate as intended. The contact stated that while at a gas station, attempting to start the vehicle and depressing the brake pedal, the ABS failure warning light illuminated. The contact stated that a dealer was contacted. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the ABS needed to be replaced. The ABS was replaced, and instrument panel was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was informed that there would be a follow-up regarding the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 3,000.

Updates to the case#11679471. Since my initial report, Jeep arranged for an independent technician to retrieve and review the Event Data Recorder (EDR) from our vehicle. While Jeep has not shared the expert’s conclusions with us, we obtained a copy of the raw EDR data file from the same tech (attached). Based on the EDR data: 1. The brake pedal was fully applied approximately 0.4 seconds before impact and remained depressed. 2. The vehicle’s deceleration was only ~0.5 g, significantly below the expected ~0.8–1.0 g for dry asphalt conditions. 3. The ABS did not engage, indicating that hydraulic brake pressure was not reaching the level required to approach wheel lock. 4. The Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system was “On” but did not engage. 4. The Advanced Brake Assist (ABA) activate

Was driving in normal weather conditions, no rain, no hail, no snow, no inclement weather whatsoever. During daylight hours, plenty of visibility. Was driving with no other vehicles around and my windshield cracked. Nothing hit it, no spider webbing, no point of impact. It made a loud cracking sound. The crack is roughly 80% of the with of my windshield. From setting behind the driver's seat, the crack starts around the steering wheel, goes up about midway, goes over to the passenger side and then goes up towards the roof. The crack makes a large N shape. The main horizontal of the crack is about center of the windshield. Had the vehicle less than two months at the time of the cracking.

A trailer hitch was contracted as part of the vehicle purchase on December 20, 2025, and was physically installed by Southern Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in January 2026 as a fulfillment of that purchase contract. This installation was performed by Stellantis's own authorized dealer technicians. The vehicle has been configured and warranted for towing use since January 2026 — an explicitly marketed capability of this vehicle platform. A trip was scheduled for May 18, 2026 to tow a 12-foot rigid inflatable boat (yacht tender) weighing approximately 600 pounds on a trailer from XXX to Fawcett Boat Services in XXX — a route of approximately 150 miles traversing [XXX] in heavy traffic at approximately 70 mph. The appointment at Fawcett Boat Services is verifiable. The boat's location in [XXX] i
