2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee owner complaints

I recently had recall work done. I picked the vehicle up on December 23, 2025, and the vehicle is not charging properly or driving well. When plugged into the level 2 charger it took 10 plus hours to charge when it used to take 2.5 hours to charge. The vehicle is also not driving well now. As soon as you take your foot off the gas it’s almost like a major brake is being applied. It’s not safe to drive this way. I have contacted the dealer and will take it back on Monday, December 29, 2025.

This recalled vehicle cannot be driven safely. No remedy is available. I am paying for a lease. I cannot use and requesting federal assistance for a lease termination or replacement..

I leased this new vehicle in July 2025. had it for a month and it wouldn't start. Premier Jeep in Hyannis, MA 02601 said it was the start/stop battery and replaced it. a month later the car experienced an system failure and the car put the parking brake on and put the car in park and shut it off WHILE I WAS IN TRAFFIC! this time the dealer service said it was the lift gate mechanism and the on/off/start button. these have been replaced. each incident resulted in the vehicle spending a week in the shop. I asked for a loaner but none available both times. now the car is back in the repair shop because when I get in to start it it turns itself off right away. no loaner car was offered. I have no car now AGAIN!

The current recall with loss of propulsion occurred in my vehicle on 10/16/2025 at 5:10pm while I was on the highway during rush hour. Thankfully I didn’t get injured, this is so dangerous. I’m afraid to drive this vehicle in fear of it occurring again.

Driving on freeway and Service 4WD light came on. Upon reaching destination, parking brake automatically engaged for unknown reason.

While driving vehicle goes into limp mode I lose acceleration but RPMs on dashboard jump into the red zone and various warning lights show up I coast off to the side and put vehicle in park and shut off engine. When I restart everything clears and vehicle is normal again. This happened 3 times so far and dealer had the car 12 days and cannot duplicate the problem saying no codes show up show up on the scanner.

The car has a strange thump when driving around 70-75. This is always and the dealer says it’s normal, which is not true! This weird thump is now happening at lower speeds and also a weird shuddering at speeds around 25-40. The contact owns a 2025 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that occasionally while driving at slow speeds, the transmission slipped into park(P), causing the vehicle to jerk to an unintended stop. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed, and the contact was advised that the failure could not be duplicated. When driving the vehicle, it appears to shift roughly and at times, it seems that there is no power to the vehicle.

When driving the vehicle the check engine light would flash adn the car would start shaking, we took it to the dealer and they said they did a update it was all set, on the way home we had the same issue execpt worse so we had it towed to the dealer and they installed a ignition coil, we picked it up and the same issue. We're now told it needs major engine work and there waiting on parts but we can drive the car until the parts come in because the dealer does not have a loaner but the vehicle is not safe to drive, Chrysler refused to take the car back and refused to do a buy back. The dealer does not respond and chrysler has not been any help.

I purchased a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo earlier this year. The salesman told me that the fuel cover locks when the doors are locked, but the cover does not lock. I sent an email to Stallantis, the corporation to Jeep and inquired about this. They replied that all 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokees should have lock gas covers. A vehicle that does not have a locking mechanism to the gas tank leaves it vulnerable to vandalism. Substances can be inserted into the gas tank that could cause permanent damage to the engine. Had the kids loaded up ready to leave the house. Opened up the drivers door and my youngest pressed her feet on the drivers seat while in her car seat and the back of the seat was lifting up. I then investigated it further only to realize it was missing bolts.

Blind spot alert light came on and has stayed on. Took on 7/8/2025 to Jeep dealership… they still have as of 8/28/25 and can’t figure how to fix it.

*The AEB light comes on saying Limited Functionality Service required. We have Taken it to the dealer and they service department said no codes for that problem showed up and said if it did it again pull into any dealership and have them check it. It happens constantly so it happened right when in front of one of their dealership so we pulled in and they checked again and it did come up showing an electrical issue. They saw our pictures I was continuing to take of the dash showing how often it comes up.
