2025 Nissan Rogue owner complaints

The automatic liftgate will close on you when you’re not expecting it. This is caused us to hit our head, at least three times while trying to remove items from the back of the Nissan Rogue. On the most recent incident resulted in a concussion. As I was putting a suitcase into the back of the car, it began to shut, causing me to hit the top of my head and blackout.

Upon entering the vehicle which was parked all day in the driveway (backed in) I heard a weird sound then my back window on the hatch imploded inside.

My car was sitting our closed garage and came into the garage to see the rear window shattered.

My back window shattered into a million pieces and the car has been parked under my carport since 4 pm on Monday evening and has not been driven at all since then. Went to walk my dog on Wednesday at around 2:15p noticed glass on the ground and looked and back window was in pieces still attached to the car. I live at least 500 feet off the rode and have no neighbors near my cars.

I parked my 2025 Nissan Rogue in my attached garage on Thursday night. I went into the garage on Sunday evening and saw that the rear windshield had shattered. The perimeter of the windshield had pieces missing, those were on the garage floor behind the car. At this point the glass was still attached. However, I needed to retrieve an item inside the car. When I gently closed the door, a chunk of shattered glass fell in the cargo area. More fell inside today, still parked in the garage. I bought it in Feb 2025, it has around 5,000 miles. I spoke to the dealership today and explained what occurred. The response, which I will quote, “That just wouldn’t happen.” I reported it to my insurance. I have no other vehicle and need this fixed this week so I’m paying the $500 deductible. There

While eating dinner, rear back glass shattered last night for absolutely no reason. Walked out of dinner and it was shattered. Police report was filed and taken to local Nissan dealership.

The rear windshield shattered while driving. I was driving car in the evening at 30 mph, heard a “pop” and the back window glass cracked in to tiny pieces. Once I pulled over to examine the damage the center of the glass fell out of the window completely. The dealer states it is not a defect, but there are several accounts online of the same thing happening to other Nissans. I see no other damage that makes me think something hit the window and the glass did not spider from one spot out, it just cracked in to tiny pieces. An insurance claim has been made, but no official inspection has been done. No warning signs/lamps were on at the time of the incident.

On Dec 3, 2025,I drove my 2025 Nissan Rogue to my workplace as usual. It is new vehicle with about 2000 miles on it. The vehicle was parked in the employee parking lot, which is an open, uncovered area but not a location where projectiles or falling objects are present. The car remained stationary in this parking area until the incident occurred. When I returned to the vehicle, I closed the front driver-side door normally, using the same routine pressure I use every day. Immediately upon closing the door, the rear liftgate glass suddenly shattered without warning. The entire rear windshield broke into pieces at that moment. While my vehicle was parked in a parking lot my back window shattered for no reason.

My rear window just shattered without cause. I got into the vehicle this morning, closed the door and then a loud noise occurred. I looked and found that the entire back window had shattered. Very dangerous had this happened on the road!!

I got into my vehicle and the back windshield glass shattered when I closed my driver's side door.

Rear windshield spontaneously shattered. Car was parked in a vacant lot, with no external contact. I opened the Driver side door and the window shattered. Rear defroster was used about 4 hours before on drive to work. Hatch was opened upon arrival with no issues or noticeable cracks.

I took ownership of this vehicle on December 11, 2024. Here are some of the problems I've encountered with this 2025 Nissan Rogue SL model: (1)Blind Spot, lane departure has been malfunctioning as of 12-11-2024. (2)The seat belt symbol started malfunctioning a few days later. The red seat belt sign on the dashboard remains on for an extended period. (3)The AM/ FM radio was working for a short time then off and on. Whenever the AM/FM radio goes out, Sirius XM radio remain strong. I brought the SUV back to the leasing company twice after which they programmed and reset the radio and the safety features. It seemed to work for a day. I called the leasing company and they said that I should take the Rogue to one of Nissan's service departments for a diagnostic workup. I made an appointment

I got in the car and before even starting the car the window on the hatch exploded. It is shattered and I am glad my child was not in the back seat.

I was using the snow mode because there was a little bit of snow and ice on the road. I had been driving it that morning and did not have a problem until I turned in to my street. I turned right and the steering and brakes and accelerator all locked, leaving me where my car slid across the road and the left drivers side tire ran over the curb. I was not able to correct anything as everything locked. Even though I am okay and was going less than 5 mph while turning. I feel like the whole car's function to lock is unsafe as it left me to hope the curb would stop it. The car had to get towed and is now in the shop with $4,000 of damage to that tire and tire rods which I feel like could not have been prevented considering everything was locked and did not allow me to correct properly.
