My vehicle is subject to an active safety recall involving the instrument cluster. I contacted the dealership to schedule the recall repair and was advised that the recall software update carries a risk of bricking the instrument cluster, potentially rendering the vehicle inoperable and requiring full instrument cluster replacement. Because of the risk, the dealership stated they are delaying performing the recall until a rental vehicle becomes available. I was advised that this may take approximately two weeks before the recall can be addressed. This recall affects the same instrument cluster system that previously failed early in ownership and prompted prior service and safety concerns. In addition, I have experienced intermittent infotainment screen glitches and harsh downshifting at

On 11/20/25 I rented a 2026 Dodge Ram truck from Thrifty at the Wilmington, NC airport. My 17 year old daughter was with me. As I was sitting at a red light, I tapped the “comfort” button on the center screen to try to adjust the air conditioner. When I did, the audio system, which had been off, suddenly blasted a radio station to the maximum volume of the speakers. No warning. It was horribly painful and jolting. I tried turning down the volume using the volume dial. It didn’t work. Nothing would turn it down. The volume setting showed it was already at zero on the screen. It continued to blast us until I saw I could push the volume button to power off the screen. That stopped it but my daughter and I were both very shaken and upset. It was the loudest sound we’ve ever heard and it went o
My 2026 Ram 1500 has experienced multiple serious electrical system failures that affect vehicle safety and reliability. The truck has had repeated warning messages including “Illumination Unavailable — Service Required,” instrument cluster malfunctions, and unpredictable interior/exterior lighting behavior. In addition to these issues, the vehicle has experienced a no-start event, leaving it unable to power on, and the power tailgate has failed, refusing to open or close electronically. After diagnostics, the dealership determined that two electronic control modules had failed, one of which has no estimated replacement date from the manufacturer, and the other is on backorder for 7–10 days. These failures impact critical systems including vehicle startup, lighting, diagnostics, and rear c

Parasitic draw that causes batteries to die over night. This also affects manager features like air bag sensors, parking sensors, and dash display.
The uConnect radio and the gauge cluster in my 2026 RAM 1500 have consistent issues with their performance and do not operate consistently as designed. The gauge cluster will frequently go blank, have the odometer flashing, or stay on when the vehicle has been turned off. The radio will consistently display "connection negotiation failed" which impairs the use of android auto or any of the factory navigation or other radio features. You have to power cycle the vehicle a few times for those issues to resolve themselves.

Purchased a brand new 2026 Ram 1500 RHO on 11/28/25 and it has been back at the dealership since 12/2/25 the vehicle had brake lines leaking as well as miss aligned body panels and scratches they need to replace the brake line assembly at one of the wheels they are replacing a fender realigning the hood and vender painting the new fender touching up paint on the rear fender and hood this vehicle has both mechanical and cosmetic defects from the factory, i have asked Ram customer service to replace the vehicle with one free of any defects and they have denied my request
September 18 my vehicle had 948 mikes on it. After driving 17 gps miles vehicle Milage had advanced to 965. After returning to vehicle the Milage had changed to 950. Also Trip A changed from 102 to 89. I’ve been noticing my gas Milage don’t make sense as the vehicle only would show 7-8 mpg while the vehicle computer would show 17-18 mpg. Therefore this problem has existed since I bought it. There is a definite problem with the center electronic cluster and apparently ram has a backlog of months to replace them. There needs to be a recall for this problem.
The Uconnect system freezes up, produces a black screen, or will not allow carplay to work as should. The vehicle has been to the dealer three times this is a major safety issue- Uconnect controls essential safety operations(Back up cameras, climate control, hands free safety alerts, radio)

Shortly after a "low oil pressure" message appeared the vehicle shutdown and coasted to a stop before a suitable place to investigate the issue could be found. Vehicle would not restart. An "low oil add two quarts message" appeared. Engine temp was ordinary. No issues observed under the hood. Oil was found to be dripping from the engine bay to the rear passenger area under the passenger side of the truck. Dealer mechanics diagnosed a catastrophic loss of oil and engine seizure. My wife and I were stranded approximately 800 miles from home and had to arrange for travel home. The vehicle is currently sitting at the dealership in Lincoln, Illinois awaiting my approval for an engine replacement, while I work out the details of a resolution with Ram Care/Stellantis.

Q1. Vehicle brake malfunction. Vehicle was from a rental agency. Upon driving, the brakes would not work on two separate occasions. (6/30 and 7/1) Q2. Upon starting the vehicle from gas station and driving towards the stop sign to exit, the brake system failed. Had I gone at a higher speed, I have caused an accident, injuring myself and others. Q3. No. The agency submitted the vehicle for a diagnostic which revealed no issues or malfunctions. The brake malfunction happend twice while i had the vehicle in my position Q4. Yes. Upon return to rental agency, the vehicle was inspected. Upon no issue, then sent to Corpus Christi for an additional diagnostic Q5. No.
I purchased this vehicle on 2/1 and the recall was issued 2/2. I was notified about the recall on 2/9 and contacted the dealer the same day. I was told they weren't prepared to handle it and to call back later. I called back towards the end of the month and was added to a wait list. I was told they would have to wait for the parts. I called back a couple weeks later and was told there are approximately 100 people ahead of me and that they are only receiving enough parts to complete 3-5 trucks a month. I did call another dealership to be added to their list and was told the same thing. It has been 5 months and I purchased this truck to tow and I haven't been able to do that because as the recall states the brakes and/or lights may fail. It sounds like I'm not going to get this fix until 2

The auto leveling air suspension in my 2026 RAM 1500 does not operate as designed. The vehicle is designed to lower from normal ride height to aero ride height at speeds above 63mph. However, it is not supposed to raise or lower at any speed automatically with a trailer with an integrated trailer brake controller attached to it. In January 2026, I was merging onto the highway with my 7x16 enclosed trailer and the rear end of the truck because unstable the stability control activated and when I looked at the dash it stated aero ride height achieved. I have video of this happening more than once. I took it to the dealer on January 16th was told to bring my trailer in and they woulf perform a comparison test with a truck that is equally equipped. It took from January to June to perform the co
