I've had plenty of Chevrolet in the bay over the years, and the fuel-system complaints on these don't surprise me. 2,581 on the NHTSA record across 97 model-year entries (2005–2024) is not a fluke. The 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer leads the list but the pattern shows up across multiple years and models. Not a one-off. 13 fatality reports on file with NHTSA tied to this category on Chevrolet vehicles. That elevates this from nuisance to safety-critical. Average shop fix runs about $1,200 — not catastrophic, but it adds up over time. Across the 1,908 complaints reporting odometer mileage, the median failure lands at about 64,063 miles. Check the fuel pump access cover for prior work. A vehicle on this list that already had a pump replacement is a vehicle to consider — the work is done.
