Look — Chrysler's visibility story is well-documented in the NHTSA file, and it ain't pretty. 507 complaints across 36 year-model entries from 2005 to 2021. Not a small number. The 2005 Chrysler Crossfire is doing the heavy lifting on this category — about 37% of every visibility complaint on Chrysler's record points back to that one year-model. 10 fatality reports on file with NHTSA tied to this category on Chrysler vehicles. That elevates this from nuisance to safety-critical. Repair cost runs around $350 on average — relatively low for an aggregated category. Across the 331 complaints reporting odometer mileage, the median failure lands at about 50,793 miles. Wipers, washers, backup camera, defroster — exercise all of them on the test drive. None of these failures are emergencies but they add up.
