This started about 2 months ago. When I fill up my 2007 durango with fuel, the second it is done filling, the fuel comes back out of the tank onto the ground and the side of the car. I have tried filling it manually and the same thing happens. I took it to Dodge and they said the only way to fix it is with a new gas tank, $785.00!! My car has 45,000 miles on it and is out of warranty. No way can I afford that kind of money right now so I told them to forget it. I see now where there was a recall for this problem on the 2005 durangos and 2006 -2008's are having the same problem. *tr

When fueling my durango, the gas pump will kick off but a short time later gas will spill/spray out of the filler neck. I have tried various gas pumps and pump rates all resulting in the same actions, usually a gas soaked sleeve, gas running down the side of the vehicle, and a puddle on the ground. It is to the point my wife is scared to fuel our durango. I have called the Dodge dealership and they seem to not know anything about such problems. Chrysler needs to take note of this and do something about it before it results in a serious accident or death. *tr
Failed check valve in fuel tank on my 2007 Dodge durango caused fuel to overflow and splash out of the filler neck when full. Extreme safety hazard to all in the vicinity, including the service station if ignited by a accidental source. *tr
2007 Dodge durango overflows fuel when filling gas tank. The vehicle has begun doing it each time it is filled up with fuel, regardless of gas station. This began happening about 1 month ago. The spilled fuel on the ground presents fire and environmental hazards. *tr
My durango is having the same problem that I see complaints all over the place for. I have the fuel spewing back out of the tank when I am pumping gas...the nozzle will click off, then a geyser shoots out and it's a lot! This is absolutely ridiculous that nothing has been done to recall/fix this problem. How long or how many vehicles is it going to take before any action will take place. Are ya'll waiting for someone to die...a fire...etc?? This is a hazard, not only for the person who is filling up the tank, but for the gas station as well. When this happened to me, my hand burned for the majority of the day, and this was after I washed it several times....not to mention my scrubs were ruined. Something seriously needs to be done to correct this issue before someone gets hurts! *t
This truck was purchased used in november 2011 with 45000 miles. I have filled the tank 3 times and every time the pump auto shut-off clicks and a few cups of fuel overflows and spills down the side of the vehicle. The 2005 model year was recalled with this same problem, but 2007 had not yet been recalled. *tr
My 2007 Dodge durango 4x4 limited overflows gasoline at the fuel filler neck each time I allow the auto-shutoff to fill the tank. This problem started at approximately 55,000 miles. The fuel shutoff always works, but a second or so later, a large spray of pressurized fuel squirts out of the filler neck from around the fuel nozzle. Again, this happens every time the vehicle is filled, no matter what gas station and no matter what temperature or prior fuel level. It has happened continually for the past two years. I can prevent the overspray by shutting off the fuel before the tank is full and allowing the nozzle to stand for 20 seconds before removing it. The Dodge dealerships I have talked to do not believe it is happening. This is a fire-safety issue and needs to be investigated. *
When filling my 2007 Dodge durango with gas, the gas overflows out the filler tube. This results in a large amount of gas spilling on the vehicle and on to the ground. This is very dangerous and needs to be addressed asap. This vehicle does not have any open recalls. *tr
When filling up the gas tank extra gasoline is spit out of the tank which is a fire issue for the gas station. If we are filling the gas tank, when the pump automatically stops gas pours back out of the tank. Also the gas cap light came on recently & the gas cap was replaced but light came back on. I believe this would be the same recall as the 2005 Dodge durango fuel system gasoline storage tank assembly. We are taking the truck to the dealer in little falls, nj on monday, december 26, 2011 for the repairs to be made. If you search the internet you will find other Dodge durangos with the same issue. There is a youtube video of a 2007 Dodge durango demonstrating what happens at the end of filling the tank. Http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fs5u63cn-ii. *tr
The fuel tank shut off or overfill device that prevents overfilling is failing on all Dodge durangos in our fleet. This allows the vehicle to "burp" out approximately 2 quarts of fuels with enough force to hit the adjacent pump. *tr
When filling up gas tank, a good amount gas spills out after pump shuts off. There was a recall issued for 2005 durango for this exact failure, but the recall does not cover my 2007 durango. I have read of many other failures for 2006-2008 durangos on the internet, so Dodge has not fixed this. *tr

Driving on us1 in the florida keys, key largo. Pulled into turning lane, applied brakes, nothing happened, car continued at regular speed, kept applying brakes without response until the car collided at approximately 30 MPH into a white suburban vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. Tried to get attention from Dodge and the dealer that replaced the ABS system the month prior without success. I suffered multiple herniated discs in my cervical. *js
Thank you for asking Chrysler to recall all affected airbag vehicles nationwide. I have sent Chrysler several emails explaining that I spend much time in florida, that the humidity exposure thus far has rusted out my original alternator and it had to be replaced last year. This should be plenty of proof that my durango should receive airbag replacements. Chrysler has continually dodged this request and has failed to stand behind their product. Please let me know how this is possible, and what I can do about this in addition to never purchasing a Chrysler/Dodge product again. I will reach out to my north carolina reps and senators as well, but your request to Chrysler for a national recall needs to be enforced. I read of a recent example in north carolina where an affected vehicle inj

Qty. Part no. Description ar (1) cnnzx390aa tube, fuel filler was replaced by dealership. Still cannot put fuel in it without it taking forever and a day and still cannot pass emissions! Beyond infuriated! No one will take ownership of a manufactured defective fuel system and actually they expect me to pay for it! Please, please issue a recall and hold these people accountable! We have had gas splashed all over us and after the supposed 'fix' can't put gas in it without it taking 30 minutes. Not acceptable, nor is it safe!

I recently purchased a 2007 Dodge durango had it brought up on 12/1/2010. The tank was empty so I went to the local gas station to fill up. Let it shut off by itself when full and there was gas spilling out of the tank after it shut off. I assumed it was the pump. So few days later had to fill again it did it again different gas station. There is something seriously wrong with this tank and a really big safety concern for fire or if you don't clean the gas off the side of the vehicle near the tank right away. I am a mother of 2 small children and this terrifies me. My car has less then 36,000 miles and not even a true 3 years old this should still be considered a factory warranty issue or do the right thing and put as a recall. All you have to do is google this and there are hundreds to th

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 Dodge durango with mopar valve stems, serial number: 881f6d3c part number: 1-560294658b. The tire mechanic was repairing the flat tire which resulted from a defective valve stem. He stated that there is a sensor inside the wheel with an aluminum valve stem which deteriorated. He also stated that the core is made out of the incorrect type of metal. Each valve stem cost $52.00 per tire. There was no recall on the valve stem. The mileage was not available.
