I have received three letters referring to recall: s14, r26 and r 49 dating back over one year. I have made several attempts to contact 2 different Dodge/ Chrysler dealerships and was always told they do not have the parts. The vehicle is made by Mercedes benz and the parts can be cross referenced to a Mercedes benz part number. The allegedly missing parts are in stock and Chrysler has no excuse not to immediately repair a safety hazard !

Takata recall I was notified of an s14 recall some time ago I then called the dealer (duluth Dodge) to take care of the recall. My information was taken down & I was told that they would call when parts were available. I have since received a r49 recall & upon calling the dealer I was told parts were not available & that I should call back in a couple of weeks. I was told that Chrysler would notify me when parts were available, this was different information than the first recall ; two different stories. What do I believe & how do I get these recalls resolved.

Roof around the roof-mounted air conditioner leaks water after a sustained storm. Has been in dealer service three times, and the leak persists. Others with this vehicle have the same issue. Http://sprinter-source.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10336&page=1 we think these are fixed, because for a short time after being in the shop, it stops, but it always comes back. *tr

Roof of the sprinter van is leaking water into the interior. Large sections of the sealing material between panels on the exterior roof has become cracked and is pealing up near the rear of the roof. This allows water to leak into the vehicle causing rust at the seams, and elsewhere? *tr

I left for vacation october 15, 2010 and have a loss of power , can't go over 55mph, which is good for saving diesel fuel but not for wanting to get to my vacation place. This sprinter has only 9,300 miles on it. *tr

Driving freeway at 70mph, all of a sudden the engine does what seems like a stall, quickly dropping down to 35mph and continues to slow down as we maneuvered to side if road. This was very close to causing the semi trucks behind us to rear-end us. We pulled over, driving off the freeway at 15mph with hazards on. Stopped at a truck stop (I am a female here, so safety was a concern) and proceeded to talk to insurance company/try to find a Dodge dealership who actually could "work" on these specific sprinter engines. After much trouble, end result is the vehicle ends up at a certified Dodge dealership who is very aware of this common problem among sprinters (deals with this same issue constantly). It is the turbo resonator that is a faulty plastic piece that often and frequently breaks on th

My 2007 Dodge sprinter suffers from the same water leak from the roof ac seal. The Mercedes benz built Dodge sprinter has a known problem and mb and Dodge shuffle me back and forth to each other. Many owners have paid for multiple dealer repairs only to have the leak return. A class action suit has been successful against mb, but they will not extend the repairs to dodged badged models. Dodge refers me to mb. This is dangerous problem because a waterfall leak pouring into your van can cause a driver to loose concentration and drift into another lane. The van's roof ac takes on water while parked or in motion and can dump several cups of water while the van is in motion.
