Driver side sliding door opened spontaneously and would not stay closed. It didn't matter which button I tried (driver control, door jam, or key fob), door would not stay closed. I powered it closed to drive to dealer - stopping several more times to re-power it closed on the way. Part had to be ordered, so I repeated the above to return home. I was concerned about the safety lighting on the doors draining the battery while unlatched door sat in garage. By the time the part arrived (after christmas), car battery was at '0' charge (battery is only six months old). I had to contact aaa to get the car started to drive it to the dealer. My concern is that there is no manual override for the automatic doors, and no off switch for the automatic door lighting that drained my battery. I cou

The passenger rear (slider) door fails to latch closed, either in power-assist or non-power-assist mode. As a result, the door may open spontaneously while parked or while driving. The motorized door's control protocols cause the door to open fully after the failure to latch is detected. If the latch electronic actuator fails, there is no access to manually close the latch while the door is in closed position.

When the sliding door is closed it pops open again about 2 seconds after closing. This happens when the door is closed either manually or electrically. Vehicle is stationary when this happens.

Issue: malfunctioning passenger side sliding door on my 2007 Hyundai entourage. The door occasionally does not shut properly when closing the door (while in the power mode). The Hyundai dealership has tried to replace a computer module on one visit and the latch assembly on another visit. The first visit they indicated they could not duplicate the problem, so they did not do anything. Please help. It is of real concern to my family because our 20 month old son rides in that seat. We see this as a safety issue. *tr

As I ramped on to a busy interstate, the front hood latch gave way. The hood flipped up smashing my windshield and blocking all front vision. I was able to get over to the shoulder without getting hit by another vehicle. I was going about 60 MPH when the hood latch gave way. About two weeks ago, same thing: the front hood latch gave way, but that time I was going only about 25 MPH as I slowed down on a secondary road to turn in to the subdivision where I live. No harm done to the windshield the first time. First time I assumed I had not properly shut down the hood. Second time, the hood latch and safety failed.

Van's electrical suddenly cut off in the middle of traffic losing power - thankfully a parking lot entrance was nearby and was able to barely steer it into the parking lot. I had my children with me. Found out it was recurring problem with the valve cover gasket leaking oil onto the alternator. Similar problem with recalled Hyundai veracruz - same engine layout - but no recall on the Hyundai entourage. This is the 4th time the alternator died and the local Hyundai dealership will do nothing since it is out of warranty.

Dealership had me make an appointment and come in for the 188 recall (ABS relay installation), kept me for 2 hours, tried to sell me about $2,000 in unrelated maintenance, then told me that they did not have the parts to perform the relay service. They therefore wasted my time when they had no intention of performing the recall work. The recall work has not been done, and I've wasted a work day. Dealer rep was also intimidating with regard to the maintenance he was recommending.

There has been a consistent whine coming from my somewhere within the engine for the last 3 months. Upon researching the cause of the whine we were able to narrow it down to the power steering oil pump. When we went looking for possible known issues, we came across a techinical service bulletin - dated august 2008 - addressing a whine noise in the power steering oil pump. I called the service department where I purchased the vehicle to ask about having the power steering pump checked, based on the tsb - I was informed by the service manager that "he" was the specialist and he would determine what the problem was - but first he would have to do a complete check on the engine (to the tune of about $450) to determine the problem. He then asked the mileage on the vehicle and when I told hi

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 Hyundai entourage. While driving approximately 40 MPH, the battery and brake warning indicators illuminated independently. My entourage exhibits intermittent significant low-speed engine braking when driving in the auto 'drive' position. This braking effect is similar in effect to the actual light application of the brakes. This was immediately reported to the Hyundai dealer upon purchase delivery of the vehicle. Dealer has attempted to fix by performing transmission re-programming. This has modified the behavior to make the occurrence of this much more intermittent, but still not fixed it. I have two safety concerns with this. The first is I have almost been rear-ended by another driver once, and that was on dry pavement. This vehicle actually performs a braking function without the benefit of the vehicles brake lights being displayed. We live in wisconsin where the road conditions get icy during the

My wife drives a 2007 entourage se that currently has 96,000 miles on it. A short time ago the brake pedal got 'soft' or what some people might call 'spongy' or "mushy" accompanied with gradual 'leak down'or "fading" of the brake pedal. As this is normally a symptom of a failing master cylinder, I replaced the master cylinder. This did nothing to solve the problem. Next, I replaced the rear brake pads (although they were probably only half worn) to push more fluid back into the reservoir in hopes it would 'tighten up' the pedal feel. This also did not improve the situation. The front brake pads are relatively recent and not in need of replacement. I next took the vehicle to a dealership for diagnosis. The dealership indicated that what I was experiencing was a failure of the ABS module (
