Yet another titan with leaking rear seals. If it leaks enough the brakes get covered in diff fluid and the rear end blow up. *tr

Power train went needed to be replaced. Only 27,000 miles on car. Seals needed to be replaced after new power trained installed. *tr
Vehicle bought brand new and after 3500 miles continual clicking noise from drivetrain, took to dealer and had for 2 weeks and got it back and started doing it again within a day. Took back in and dealer said it was the rear differential and replaced entire rear axle at 9230 miles. *tr
The rear axle seals on my 2007 Nissan titan continue to leak gear oil. I have replaced the seals three times including purchasing and replacing the entire axle shaft, seal and spacer assembly on the third time. These were 2 axle shaft assemblies which cost me over $1000. I have also installed a breather tube on the rear axle and insured it is allowing air to get in and vent the rear axle. It's been a few months after installation and the seals are leaking again. My rear brakes and parking brake are soaked with oil and the parking brake no longer holds the truck in place when parked on a incline/decline.
Rear differential axle seals are bad and leaking rear differential fluid on emergency and rear brake pads. *tr
One rear axle already leaked and we had to repair it. Now the other rear seal is leaking and we have to replace it. Also the shocks are bad. *tr
Prematurely failing inner rear axle seals causing gear oil from diff to get into rear brake calipers and rotor causing increased braking distance. Been replaced once on left and twice on right. *tr
Rear axle seal leaked on drivers side at 66,000 miles. Gear oil all over brakes which is a major safety concern. No modifications - truck is full stock. Nissan dealer database reveals this issue happened also at 29,000 miles and entire rfd was replaced under warranty for previous owner. Now happens again at 66,000 miles. I am told there is a tsb for this issue, but since vehicle is out of warranty(6,000 miles ago) that this is my problem. Dealer told me that this problem could very well have been going on without my notice for longer than 6,000 miles. A little research reveals this to be a very common problem with these trucks. Nissan needs to acknowledge that they have a faulty design in the rfd, and they need to step up and issue a recall for this issue due to it being a major sa

Driving along below highway speed in 4 wheel drive on a steep uphill on snowy road. I lost 4 wheel drive and caused the rear wheels to start spinning and sending the vehicle side ways. Recovered by letting off gas. Look under truck to find the driver side axle out of the transfer case. Come to find out this is a huge issue from manufacturer from 04-07. Somebody need to get seriously hurt for action on this matter? *tr
2007 Nissan titan rear axle seals leaking onto rear discs causing vehicle to inadequately brake. *tr
Both rear end axle seals went bad causing oil to leak over rear brakes which lead to brake failure. Complete rear end had to be replaced. *tr
My rear axle seals are leaking and have been for some time. I had them replaced and need them replaced again. They leak all over my rear brakes and I am concerned that this could lead to a potential dangerous situation. *tr
No events leading up to failure, was driving down the road heard a pop, when making a hard left turn. Went to the shop, turned in again, hard right, loud pop come from rear end. Put truck on lift in shop, drained diff fluid, gear pieces came out. Advised dealer in the morning, was told not to bring it in, they would check with Nissan to see if it would be replaced under goodwill. Was denied on 11/16/2007. *tr

Rear axle seals leaking on 2007 Nissan titan pickup. Rear axle grease was leaking onto wheel and rear brake disk... Potentially causing a failure of the brakes to stop adequately, had I not found the leak as quickly as I did. I understand that this is a frequent failure on the Nissan titan. Here is one link to a forum that is tracking axle seal failures among its members: http://www.titantalk.com/forums/titan-engine-transmission-drivetrain/42837-rear-axle-seals-leaks-please-report.html. *tr

I drove my Nissan out of the driveway, it started slipping, grinding. The transmission fluid check light would not come on at all, ever since I had it. Turns out transmission fluid tank empty. I was on major highway, could go 40 miles an hour, jerked out of gear with traffic behind me. Had tow it to transmission shop and transmission burned out. Faulty transmission light failed to warn me of problems. Nissan owners manual does not instruct you to check transmission fluid. It directs you to dealership. Had no warning light to alert me. Could have gotten killed. *tr
